September 2nd and 3rd, 2009 - Jupiter Without Moons- Astronomy Watch

The planet Jupiter can usually be seen with all or some of its four largest moons through binoculars and small telescopes. It is very ubcommon for it to be seen otherwise. Late on these nights in most of the Western Hemisphere, the planet will be visible with no moons for nearly two hours.
