ok so a few months back i had a talk with mr. al simmons of todd mcfarlane productions, i was interested in sculpting for them, while he said he was very impressed i have yet to hear anything back from them,oh well. here are some pics of my work, what do you all think?

thanks bro, the first one is actually a piece based off of todd mcfarlane's spawn, it's actually a cover to issue 140( i think ), i actually just started painting it and it's looking real good, i'll put up some pics when it's done.

I like those too, even though they are a little too alien for me. I like the real world over exaggerated. Or in other words, less spiky thingys.

You have a talent most people can only dream of. I can only draw stick people and even those suck.

But #3 is my favorite.

Keep sending him some new stuff maybe he will come around! Good luck and keep us posted!!:bye:

WOW! NICE work, grendel! VERY cool. I love the hair on the first sculp. Please let us know if you do end up doing something for McFarlane. I collect movie figures and the McFarlane figures are the cream of the crop. That would be quite the accomplishment if you could do something for them.

wow guys, thanks alot for all the positive feedback, it's great to know my work is appreciated, thanks again.

as for how long, i've gotten much faster the female sculpt took about two weeks, and that's only working on it on my off hours, i unfortunately have a real job. that one was a little simpler also, but on average i finish a major sculpt in about two to three weeks. oh and i'll see if i can get some bigger pics, i also have some other pieces that aren't as detailed but are still pretty cool i'll try and put them up too, and again thank you all for your support.

lol I'm sticking with Bettie for now 'til the winds change. Maybe I'll ask use it after he's finished her. :thumbs:

I can just picture what he would look like painted black and crimson red with dark purple eyes.. WICKED

I can just picture what he would look like painted black and crimson red with dark purple eyes.. WICKED

thanks alot guys, the guy squatting is my interpretation of the devil, the fallen angel, his color scheme was going to be white skin with black armor with silver details, the mask should be white also with black horns. but after hearing the crimson red/black idea i think i might throw in some deep reds, also the eyes dark purple is a pretty good idea too, once it's painted i'll throw up some pics.

I gotta say though, again your a pretty damned good artist.. i could never do such things :0.02:
