Come on Jeff! ᾿Ιησοῦς died for Herod too didn't he?

Seriously though, this would be a great find if it is shown to be reasonably legit.

Who? yes i suppose he did.

Looks pretty legit, as the historian joe flavius went into a bit of detail about it, I think thats the reason they have looked here for the past 35 years.

The sarcophigus seems to be royal, even though it was smashed up.( The romans 71AD attacked rebels at this site)
It was on a raised platform suggesting someone important, and royal artifacts were found.

BUT, no inscription, so it only looks like 90-5% that it is indeed Hellod---herod.

The excavation is continuing.

This is indeed a most interesting find and reminds one of the finding of Jesus' supposed bones in an ossuary earlier this year.

The announcement about Jesus' ossuary was on 2/26/2007.

The announcement about Herod's tomb was on 5/7/2007.

The number of days between these two dates is, fittingly, 70.

Also, the place they found Herod's tomb was said to be 7 miles from the holy city.

Also, if you look closely at the date they found Herod's tomb you will see three 7's.

Herod was a type of AntiChrist and murdered all the young male children of Bethlehem, much like we have widespread abortion in our so-called modern times.

http://www.religion-cults.com/antichrist/types.htm

And Herod came before Jesus the first time.
And AntiChrist has to come before Christ comes this time.

First they try to tell us that Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead by finding His bones in an ossuary.
Then, 70 days later, they tell us that Herod existed.
This also reminds us of the seventy weeks in Daniel 9: 24-27.

Of the figure 7 Bullinger tells us that "it is seven, therefore, that stamps with perfection and completeness that in connection with which it is used".
ie 7 days to the week, seven colours to the rainbow etc.

Of 70, Bullinger says, "it signifies perfect spiritual order carried out with all spiritual power and significance".

Keep tuned.

Strange that thet say they have found Jesus bones, but not herods.
Surely it should have been the other way around---i smell a 7 inch RAT.

Werent there 5 herods,
the great,
Antipas,-who killed the baptist John,
Agrippa 1 -killed James,
Agrippa 2 -tried Paul.

Jeffweeder what have you done!!!!!

I'm certain they did NOTfind the bones of ᾿Ιησοῦς ...

The recent "documentary" was embarrassingly full of holes... (maybe there was one or two decent things on it, but for the most part, I thought it was total crap)

I knew that haha...Da man is intact.
Deep deep down I know this guy lives, or at least wish he does--even though my ass will take one hell of a bruising, this Jesus should rule and we will have peace because of him....just forget the history of the church and we have a foundation to build on.

Jeff,
I'm not really a supporter of the West Coast Eagles but I do recognise they are currently the best team in the competition. I also admire their coach who seems to have many admirable attributes.
I am really a soccer fan like you and my home team is N....C.... in England. I was fortunate to go and see the European Cup Fnal at Wembley in 1968 when Man Utd beat Benfica. I was a fan at the time they had the Munich air crash in the days when men were gentlemen. Gentlemen have always been associated with Man Utd - Sir Matt Busby and Sir Bobby Charlton to name two.
Nowadays though everything seems to have been corrupted by the love of money.

What are your soccer interests?

Re: How many Herods.

Yes, this guy was Herod the Great, the first one I believe who died in 4AD I think.

hmmm like it....

DO let's forget the history of the church and build the foundations for the future on Jesus' TRUE teachings, which are in the posession of the Knights Templar who excavated the Temple Mount in 12th Century.

The order; Ordo Supremis Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani was destroyed in the 14th Century or so King Phillip of France thought. The Grand Master at the time was tortured in exactly the same way Jesus was including him being crucified, why??

There is evidence that the Turin shroud is from around 1300 AD, this fits with the arrest and execution of thousands of Templars and the torturing of Jacques de Molay.

Reason why I say this is I agree with your sentiments.... entirely!

I believe the Freemasons are the modern day Templars and THEY have Jesus true teachings, but only 20% of Masons get to know the full story. Supposedly, they have a secret that could destroy the church overnight.

If they find something significant and the dig is funded by the Vatican or the church it will be hidden away if it is significant enough to damage the church!

Why do you support Leeds!!!???

Well its not because Herod supported them.......My dad really, they were on top of the world with a fab team and i was just a kid---being all white colours was appealing-I like white.

As to your second post, well i'm just into those eyewitness accounts-and thats were it stops -for me.
