No it does not. Do you even understand evolution? It is logically possible that we are DESCENDED from them, and then THEIR line died out. We know that birds very likely evolved from dinosaurs, but dinosaurs are extict. This absolutely does NOT prove that birds did not descend from them.

Of course, other evidence suggests that Neanderthal and homo sapiens sapiens came from the same ancestor rather than one from the other.

But regardless of which specific line of descendence we are talking about, homo sapien sapiens certainly came from an anscetrial creature similar to the steriotypical "caveman." All the way to a common anscester of the great apes of today (note that I did NOT say we evolved from the great apes of today).



But in anycase, why the hell is it an insult to use those camercials? You don't have to accept evolution to understand the camercials without being offended. Now, if they had camercials that said "so easy a chimp could do it" would you be offended?

However, what's the difference? Both Neanderthal and the Chimpanzee are creatures that we did NOT descend from, but both descended from the same creature we did. So, if one offends you, so should the other. Just a thought...



(of course, you may not actually accept the theory of evolution- but the camercials don't even explicitly support evolution. They are fiction. The characters are not real... eat the hey and leave the sticks, as they say...)

EDIT- on the other hand, you MIGHT be saying that the camercials are BASHING evolution, and in that case I have completely misunderstood your post. But either way, I can't really see any reason for anyone to be offended... unless they happen to be a caveman...
