This needs a bump. I think this is the best idea of all. A car that runs on compressed air. Talk about solving a lot of problems at once!!!

1. ZERO emissions
2. Renewable resource
3. AIR IS FREE! It will compress the air for you! AWESOME!. (Okay electricity will be used to run the compressor... NAG NAG NAG!)

You could always use a small (gasoline powered) compressor, oh the shame.

I've been following this , hope they get up and running soon. Only bad part I saw was time needed to fill a tank. Just looked again but couldn't find a time listed to fill one tank.

buy a couple sets of tanks, that way you have some to get where you are going, and get back...and you have a reserve set in case of emergency.

besides if everyone had them, im sure they'd have a fill up station where you could get the stuff in an instant.

I dont think an air car could work. Because it lacks something that is required in capitalism: an exchange of money.

It's BECAUSE the air is free that this car will never work, or will be sold for unnessesarily high amounts.

An exchange of money is made when you buy the car, which will be cheap anyway because it runs on air. On the show I watched about it it said that you would be charged a low price to fill it up at an air compressing station, or you could plug it into your house and it would fill up for you in a couple hours.

That car is mainly the chassis, the undercarriage. You can mount anything you want on top of it and sell it.

It's BECAUSE the air is free that this car will never work, or will be sold for unnessesarily high amounts.
Hey, didn't you say the oil is running out ? Maybe you don't believe what you're saying, or maybe the businessmen are reprofiling ?

Air is not free, it has to be compressed by some means.
Electric (oil generated) or a gas compressor.

Electric (oil generated) or a gas compressor. There is no reason that we must continue to use oil to generate our electricity.... Other than to keep the pockets of the oil barrens lined.
