View Full Version : Seeing Ghosts for the first time

I'm either losing "it" or gaining something. I prefer to think it's a little bit of both. As some of you might now (although very unlikely), I had an encounter with a "dark figure" in my hallway when I used to live on guam. This dark figure seemed to be made of pure evil, and when it touched me, i felt more terror fill through my body than I had ever felt before. Ever since that day, i've had a hightened sence of perception. I was able to see things more artistically, i could read people better, I could tell when something was near me, and I could see "things" that i could not explain, like this "dark figure," who keeps a close watch on me through the darkness of the night.

I was able to see this guy just fine, and hated everytime I did, but why couldn't I see other ghosts. It turns out that I coulld the whole time, I just didn't know how I was supposed to see them. It all started like 3 hours ago. I was having fun with my baby brother (just a bit over 1 year old) and he abruptly stops laughing for some reason. He starts to look at something behind me, and he stands up, looks up and down, and trys to touch nothing. I couldn't make out what he was doing. All there was in his line of vision would be my dresser, and then it hit me.

Right in front of my brother was a bunch of wavy lines. I always dismissed these as heat waves, but I never really took the time to look at them. I stared for a bit, and then decided to "touch" the area where the wavy lines were. It was cold. Pretty soon, I began to to look all around me room, and concintrate. I wanted to see if there were any more of these lines, and there were. All over my rom. My heater was off at the time, so they couldn't be heat waves. I watched in amazement, allowing my eyes to settle. Pretty soon the wavy lines became hazy mists.

That's about all I saw. the bodies of what i assume where ghosts. Then I began to look at a particular wavy line patch that seemed to be floating around my room. I saw a feature begin to form. It was a face, it's lips were moving, but I couldn't hear any words, soon more "ghosts seemed to gather around this one and did the same thing. I began to get kinda uncomfortable, but i watched Scary Movie 3, so I could last a bit longer. I left my room to get a drink, and I noticed more wavy lines around the house that I never noticed before. It was as if there were all around me the whole tiem, I just never saw them.

Also, the thing with the lips moving but no sound sppoks me a bit. Perhaps the dead are trying to tell us something, but our ears can't hear it. This was avery interesting experience for me, but I am a bit skeptical. I might just be imagining things.

Hmm, my all my Japanese freinds claim to see ghosts too... Maybe it runs in the Japanese to have a "six sense" or to "loose it" (what ever you prefer)? I see dark "things" that come in different shapes but they ussualy happen when I'm about to go to bed so it could be becouse I am sleepy or my young imagination so I am skeptical too.

Done. This picture was in no way altered, except for the other one on the bottom that indicates what you need to be looking at.

http://server5.uploadit.org/files2/050104-ghoasty.jpg

http://server5.uploadit.org/files2/050104-ghostsy2.jpg

Here are a few facts about the picture: 1) I took it with a webcam during the night. 2) I have no flash on my webcam. 3) I was facing my monitor, so the white ball of light COULD be reflecting off of something, but what? I had a busted TV in the area the ball was, but I moved it pre taking of this picture. I soon moved it back into that spot because I found out that moving it behind my door was just not a good idea. 4) I am 100% honest when I say I didn't doctor the image other than the yellow marks.

Personally, I don't really know what to think of this picture. All I know is that after I took them, my Webcam went dead for the rest of the night.

Hey Chris hard to see the face but I will take your word on it. I see a better face though in your picture. (not yours although you are pretty scary  )
If you look to the left of the red light you will see it. Get right up close to the screen and it gets even clearer. Bet you didn't see that one. Goose pimples.
Well seems like you are in for a pretty interesting time. I would get a cd of buddhist chant music and play it on repeat over and over. Do not turn it off. Turn the volume down so it doesn't drive you nuts. It will drive the ghosts nuts and lets see what happens.
Keep me posted.
Had a second look and see your ghost face. That is a scary looking face. Not a friendly.

Guys, come on!!!! Do you remember your curtain at night when you were a kid? In the daytime there were looney tunes printed on it. At night they looked like skinny corpses, dangling from the gallows. And I saw them each and every night... Made me crawl under the blanket...
But then I was 6.

Chrisboe4ever

Oh my. I didn't notice that face. I also noticed another face that I didn't notice. In the bottom part of the picture.

EDIT: DUDE!! I tried the chant music, and it only made them mad! Thanks a lot. I'm not going to be able to sleep peacefully for a loong time. It didn't even have to stay on for very long until I felt their anger. This is all the chanting that happened until I stopped it: "AAaiiii ooo ieeee...*click*"

Keep the chants going on and on and it really frustrates them and they leave all angry. Bit like Dutchie :rollin: :rollin:
Be prepared for a bit of a tantrum from them. I guess it all depends if you want them to stay or go?

To me it looks like a woman trying to snuggle up. Still, hard to see. I'm not getting any scariness out of the pic. How did you feel thru the evening after the cam went? Usually, the feeling of sensations will rise and some further notion of interruptance (aka attn getting) will occur. Anything that you can distinctly recall?:nudge:

I don't think I want them to go. If they are here with me, they must be here for a reason. And even if they are violent and are out to kill me, I'll just let them try. It's not like I'm going to let a bunch of ghosts tell me how to live my life.

guys something weirdhas just happened to methats never happened before... ive just become very fascinated with this stuff and was thinking about the different energies and "shadow ghosts" supposedly near impossible to catch on camera, only out of the corner of your eye, or from a few frames of a video camera can catch them. I was pondering this sitting on my floor staring forward as the focus of my eyes lightened greatly. Suddenly a quite large orb was faded into view. as this began to happen i thought it was just my eyes playing tricks on me, but as i watched it change colors and hover in front of me it began to scare me. i swatted at the orb with my hand and itpopped like a bubble, seconds later reappeared. the first 10 seconds it was a greenish blue, after i swatted it a couple times it turned a very dramatinc dark blood red. i was creeped out, tried to reajust my eyes but this continued to hover near me and faded down the hallway. I began to lose my nerve. As i told this to my g/f she was thinking me to be crazy. (i dont blame her) but after this nearly minutes after i started gazing at the wall (my walls are white). my eyes were still in this "mode". It seemed as if the walls were steaming or smoking. I began to get fascinated. I touched the walls, since its very cold outside they were cold. i thought it was the heat of indoors, but i noticed it on every wall i looked at. I called to my brother and he didnt see it. my mother didnt as well. the smoke or steam seemed to roll out of the walls. i thought i was going crazy so i stopped and began focusing on other things, now im starting to think, what if there is a way we can see ghosts as a camera can or access a part of the brain we dont use to see these alternate beings! when you dont focus your eyes apon one thing, as a human eye has the tendency to do, you begin to see things much differently. Cameras never focus on one thing do they? this is my theory, if anyone is readin g this please respond, im creeped out and need some insight!

:bye: , more so, hello. That's alot to think about, wonder, wander. First, to be in that kind of element supposes there is much doubt. Recently, impressions have made waves. Being that somehow contact has been made; otherwise, there would be no sight. Hence, if you have the opportunity to live the moment, more power to you:crshpc: :shot: :Prof: :dj: :bye: :)

Only because its beautiful outside for the moment, brrrrr, I will say... the best things to focus on are lights that give beauty. For instance...when the sun comes up and reflects off the snow...beautiful. When it rains and you catch a droplet forming on a leaf...beautiful. Anything else requires too much energy.

Okay: 1) Don't focus your eyes. Not so much that you are cross-eyed and seeing double. Just enough to give everything a blur. 2) Even though it may be hard, look for a partch of air that seems to be "wavy." I had a really odd thing happen to me today. There is a door in between the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and our livingroom. A little while ago, I opened the door to get into the living room. When I open doors, I use lots of force out of habit. This one time I opened the door, I had pushed it about half-way open when somthing stopped the door from the other side. It was the same feeling you'd get it you just opened a door and hit the person on the other side of it. In fact, I was sure I had just hit someone with the door really hard. I quickly looked behind the door, but no one was there.

Very odd.

Today just keeps getting stranger and stranger. It's a little past 11 pm as I am typing this. Just a few minutes ago, I went to the kitchen to microwave a tasty late dinner. I instantly felt like I was being watched. No one was around, though. I got some food out of the fridge, and put it in the microwave. I was walking back to my room when I heard a noise, like a loud thump mixed with a hiss. I was a bit spooked, but no more so than usual. I then noticed that the fridge door that I had closed was open. I closed it and made my way to the hallway, then I heard another one of those noises, but not as loud. I turn around and the fridge is open again. I'm either being haunted, or my house hates me for writing on the walls instead of using paper when taking phone messages.

Id like to share a little story that my grandmother told me way back, she has passed on now and ill explain that in a bit

She was at a seyonce one night with some friends experimenting with the forces beyond and one lady took a bathroom break. They continued their seyonce and suddenly the table began to violently shake. They all began to panic and one lady ran for the stairs leading up. The table LITERALLY chased the woman toward the steps. It was practically walking and got up a step or two. The woman who was in the bathroom had an experience of a cold hand touching her shoulder and came out almost crying in fright. My grandmother is totally sane and swears upon this story. and there was no one pushing the table.

My grandmother has been deceased for about 2-3 years now and about 3 weeks ago my stepdad had a friend stay at my house. In our living room we have a recliner in which my grandmother used to sleep and sit in almost 24/7 in her "old persons home". After she died we put it in our house. This man staying at our house was sleeping in the living room on the couch and woke up for no reason. He had view of the front steps from where he was laying, and he swore he saw an older lady standing on the stepps with an aura around her. BTW this man is a highly sceptical person. He tried to ignore it and went back to bed, but an hour later he woke up again and the figure was still standing there, he was extremely scared and turned around and slept. In the morning he swore to this and was very baffled by the occurance.

I am quite curious....

Seeing Ghosts for the first time

Back when I was just a small child. OneDay... I do not know why, but I started to say I belive in ghosts, all day I said that. Later that night I whent to sleep, everything normal until then. It must of been the middle of night I woke up suddenly, I do not know why I turned around to see in the middle of my bedroom, a ghost family. It was like seeing the whole family only in ghost form. I cried myself back to sleep.

It's too bad you can't get your hands on 1) an EMP generator or 2) some negative EMP generator. Sounds like you're in quite a pickle with these characters.

and before you all facepalm, science dictates that 1) a stronger EM field cancels out a weaker on (so you should try to get an EM reading from at least one of them) and 2) Negative and positive EM fields cancel each other out. (This, I have done.).

I think they are real... I have seen two in my life... One in Vietnam in 1971.... after a firefight I knew my buddy had been killed, and had seen his body first hand... I turned around and he was standing right there... as alive as any of us... then he smiled and said to take care of myself... and faded away...

second was my father 10 days after he had died... he was standing in my bedroom and he told me to work hard and be a good man when I grew up...

so there is something to it.... do not pretend to fully understand it.... but I know enough to know they are real and something that really needs to be fully investigated...

Well, this room sounds very interesting, so I figured I'd share some of my experiences as well.

I am living with a family that has ghosts in their house. I don't mean a ghost or two but ALOT. Before I moved in with them, I was not able to see them at all. I might have seen shadows once in a while but never to a full extent. Well, since I moved here I see them all the time. I can look right at them and yes they are invisible. But I can see an outline of them. Some of the outlines appear to be like an aura. Different colors. I see them mostly at night when I am going to bed. I have this one that I think might be a dog. He lays on my legs at night. I can sometimes literally feel his weight on my legs. Well, if that is not enough, I have this one spirit that seems to be against the wall next to the bed. My side of the bed. He doesn't move, he just stands there looking at me. I have tried to talk to him and ask him questions but he doesn't answer. I get nothing from him. Well, now I can see things that I think might be following me to work. I work from afternoon to wee morning hours. I see the shadows and the outlines. When I feel these spirits, it is almost unsettling. The ones at home give me chills too. Some of them more than others. I watch them move about across the room at work. They knock things off the counters and shelves. Very playful they are. The ones at home are the same way but it seems that there a few at home that give me that feeling of, ok do not move. I keep going about what I normal do. But there is not a day or night that goes by when I do not see, hear or feel them around me. It seems that I am surrounded by spirits. I have had them come to me in my dreams, which is what the larger entities do. But I see them on a regular basis.

The one thing that really is odd. My mother-in-law said that I have been picking up on their emotions. She said I seemed cranky with no reason to be and I even noticed that sometimes I will be fine and then all of a sudden I will feel rage or anger. Or I will feel depressed when I never have before. These are things that I have not experienced before my move here. Can anyone explain?

You might be haunted, Raven... or they're attracted-to you. No biggie, though. They just like hanging-around for reasons unknown. I wouldn't even bother ouiji-boarding 'em. Chances are, they'll be boring. It sucks being-watched... but treat 'em like they're a studio-audience. Ideally, having cats/dogs/birds/ferrets/etc. on-hand provides you with comfortable distractions.

Yea I know..lol They aren't a bother to me most of the time, except for the emotional thing. It's kinda cool though. I love being able to walk into the room and see these sitting somewhere watching me or even in some cases watching over me. If they were to disappear I honestly would be lost. I have been visited by them for the past two years..lol so yea, they would be missed. Not sure if they are attracted to me or if they are just here either. Every now and then I can close my eyes and talk to them, but I really have to be "opened" to actually feel or hear their response. Most of the time I do not but I have a couple of times gotten a reply to some of my questions, which were in the form of maybe something falling off the end table or a door slamming in the hallway. Little things like that. I think I do have some children in here though. Things will come up missing and I know for a fact that I put whatever it was, in a certain spot. Or I can be sound asleep and I am awakened by someone calling me and noone is even home. But they really have never hurt me or done anything hostile. That's a good thing. I just go about my business like normal. I will sometimes sit in my room at night and just watch the figures move about. It's very neat to watch. Sometimes they will be right in my face.. being curious, and then when I look that way it startles me. I giggle and just lay there watching.

Dude! You are brilliant! I have already came up with a a method of how to spot them, now.

Okay: 1) Don't focus your eyes. Not so much that you are cross-eyed and seeing double. Just enough to give everything a blur. 2) Even though it may be hard, look for a partch of air that seems to be "wavy." I know it might be hard, but if you conentrate (not focus), you'll be able to see it. That's basically how you can see a ghost's aura. It's clear for most, but the aura seems to change depending on the mood. I noticed that one ghost aura changed from clear to dark grey. The more relaxed your mind is, the more detailed your view of the ghosts will be. It was probably upset for me seeing it. 3) Be warry. Ghosts know if you are looking at them. And if you do look at them, they will go right up to your face, even attack. Ghost attacks differ from ghost to ghost, depending on how strong their intent is. As in my case, the ghosts didn't like the picture I took. They messed with my camera and then gave me bruses on my neck muscles that appeared a bit later on in the day.

use this method well.

You might want to get an eye exam. What you are experiencing could be "floaters", they are little strings of matter inside your eyeball. They get worse over time so older people can have a lot of them, but everyone has a few.
Your eye doctor could check that for you during a vision exam.

Edit: Just noticed this thread is from 2004. I'm pretty sure he is describing floaters in the eye.

All the more reason why you should get them out of your house. If you are empathic (which most who see them are), those spirits and their energy can affect you a lot as you will pick up on their feelings.
Some may be dark spirits too (they sometimes take innocent looking forms and trick people.. take care) ... dark spirits will often purposely try to influence a person and you wont even realise how much they are influencing you.

Order them all to leave and do a house cleansing to get rid of any residual negative energy in your house.

The spirits exist at a different frequency then us.. so you need to not be focusing on our own frequency to see them and rather on their frequency. So having your eyes slightly off focused to start picking them up and once picked up.. often need to look throu them (focus too hard and one usually looses the sight) until one gets very good at seeing them.

One can shift ones sight throu the different frequencies to see different things eg I'll shift my sight differently to see earth prana/energy to seeing air prana/energy to having focus on the physical (at which time I often will loose the others.. as I often have to focus on them to see them). The more experienced one gets.. the more different frequencies (energy levels) one can hold in ones sight at the same time.

(if you want to see earth and air prana/energy let me know and I'll help you to see their frequencies if you arent doing so now.... you may be but may not know exactly what you are seeing. Im no expert but can see basic things and have had some great energy/psychic teachers).
