Here we go again taking notice yet?
Dramatic evidence of the break-up of the Arctic ice-cap has emerged from research during an expedition by the Canadian military.

I know about that Mars has been studied by the effects of climate change.
They say what happened there could happen to us do you agree?

The Ice Cap melts and refreezes. No problem there. business as usual. The one to worry about is the Polar Core.
We know that This planet is at the END of the DEFROSTING AGE and it
melts above and below the Polar Core while the Core it'self remains solid
and thick. It thickens and spreads AFTER the thermal melt ends and the
TRUE COLD PERIOD moves in..But first, the planet is hot and expeling some
of it's heat. All of the OVERAGE of heat. happening now at its height!
The 5/24/08 6.4 EQ located a the mid atlantic ridge, where, they found
MAGNETICIZED Magma oozing a couple of years ago tells us that
The core is trying to cool down..
Since Mars is the 2nd planet to the SUN you would think that the temp
would be FLAMING HOT there and instruments wouldn't be able to land
but, IT IS COLD now. And the thermal vents are telling stories that
resemble our oceans. So it was a living, thriving planet and now it's a
dusty rock. First Mercury, then Mars, and then Earth.
<it is thought that Venus came like a shot out of the universe and "knocked" the planet that was there out of space and replaced itself with venus> So,
that's a flaming ball still......

Methane is also on the agenda as well now.
Higher atmospheric levels of the greenhouse gas methane noted last year are probably related to emissions from wetlands, especially around the Arctic.
Bad news for the climate i expect!

"The gas is about 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas, though it survives for a shorter time in the atmosphere before being broken down by natural chemical processes."
from your BBC article Ryan.
the same goes for all greenhouse gases, they dissipate and as we say AGAIN, only 0.01% of the atmosphere is greenhouse gases. And most of that is not man made!
anyway, do you not read what Protostar says?
the Planet is not heating up from above (Sun and your beloved man made greenhouse gases causing global warming!) it's heating up from below. However, do you not remember us posting the ice growth at Antarctica recently, you can check the North pole too, the DATA proves increase in ice at both poles over the last 4 years, probably 10! As Protostar says ice shelf breaks up and moves all the time; considering the seismic activity in that area its not surprising!
You talk about the weather in the UK on another thread; you don't talk about how cold and strong the winds have been. In the North it was dry but 30mph winds with gusts to 60mph and it was 15C, with wind chill it was 10C. That is damn cold for the end of May.
all your links are from the BBC or the Times, or most of them are. That's like taking scientific news from the Red Tops!!!! (or the National Enquirer!!)

Most sites i get the links from the weather here in the south saw its fare share of rain and wind yesterday.
They do say the risk of flooding as it had said 44 regions on floodwatch.thats a lot i must admit.
Iowa well after being hit by the tornadoes it seems they have some real problems ahead.and had warned that more are on their way.
So is it climate change or something else?either way its killing us!
By death and economically.

It's climate change. And there is not a damn thing we can do about it. Nibiru (AKA Planet X) is getting closer and things are only going to get worse before they get better. I believe that I read we will feel the effects (some more drastic than others) until Feb 2013 or 2014.

No offense Jenna but that whole Nibaru thing is a bunch of bullshit. Climate change is part of the natural cycle of the earth. However we humans have just given it a little shove with our Industrial revolution. Sorry folks no one to blame but our selfs better get to work fixing it if we still can.

We have just upped the anti thats all for the sake of progress!
Now cometh the reaper well not really but it will break many countries as we are witnessing right now.
The climate well the weather does seem more wilder lately and of course its the first we have come to notice, then again because the new word on the street is global warming, may have just got us to believe its all about this issue without knowing the real truth first.
Im in two minds whether in what we seem to be witnessing maybe,as you say a natural cycle but as i had said earler we have not helped.

if you think there's more CO2 now than in 1900 you are sadly mistaken. Anyway, natural forms of greenhouse gases far far far FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! outway anything humans have done in millions of years!
there's 100,000 terraced houses in Sheffield built in the 1900's all used to have coal shutes and coal fire places, can you imagine the sky with that, not to mention the biggest steel producing city in the World till 1960.
Seriously, you're telling me CO2 and pollution is worse nowadays! complete madness!!!
Even if China and India is growing like crazy and burning more oil and coal the way they are doing it is more efficient nowadays, FACT !!!!!!!
And another thing; they're not saying "Global Warming" anymore they say Climate Change, now the people in the know are just starting to say "Climate shift". That's more like it!
AND ITS ALL NATURAL AND C*O*M*P*L*E*T*E*L*Y BEYOND OUR CONTROL. NOTHING WE DO WILL CHANGE THESE FORCES AND THEY ARE:
SUN
EARTH'S CORE
EARTHQUAKES
VOLCANOES
PLANETS
MAGNETISM
DARK ENERGY
BLACK HOLES
And everything associated with the above!
yes, air quality can be crap for 24 hours, soon as it rains its clear again.
FORGET this man made climate change bull shit!
we should be developing transport to get off this planet not worrying about CO2 and whose got the most oil. F*ck oil, it will be obsolete in 50 years and we'll be powered by nucleur fusion, everywhere.
we are in danger of going to WW3 over f*ckin oil, all becuase of greed !

You make the same mistake that most of the people who don't believe that mans has an effect on our climate you think to small. All that CO2 released in England you talk about what happened to it? Did it all disappear? Nope it went into the atmosphere and a lot of it is still there also back then there weren't millions of cars and trucks driving around all spewing CO2, also there is more industry world wide then ever before and a lot of it is powered by coal. http://climate.weather.com/science/urbanlegends/legend1.html
Here is an article debunking the industry sponsored anti climate change rhetoric that I often hear.
I don't think we are capable of destroying the Earth yet but we can F it up real bad if we don't pay attention to the whole picture.

Do you mean Venus that planet has no moon to regulate its atmosphere and is closer to the sun so it takes on more heat. Or did you mean Mars that is less then half the size of earth and has to insignificant moons and is much farther away then the Earth. I don't think you can compare those two worlds to ours.

I have a question about global warming and CO2.
The Martian atmosphere is 98% CO2, why is it so cold?
With that much CO2 it should be burning up according to global warming theory.
CO2 in our atmosphere is only a fraction of a %, yet it is blamed for global warming.
Smells like BS, don't it.

Mars has a much thinner atmosphere then the earth and is much farther away. Also CO2 doesn't warm the planet by it self it just helps trap heat. What are your thoughts? Have all these scientists been lying about it? Do you believe the ones payed by Exxon more? What about McCain and Bush coming out saying its true? Sorry but its real and man is helping it along. What the long term effect will be we don't know it could heat us up or trigger another ice age or the Earth could bounce back from our best efforts to F it up. I don't want to experiment with the only known climate that we can live in with out a space suit I want a place for my kids and grandkids to live its not to much to ask to preserve our home.

Actually I do believe that they are lying about it being manmade.
It's about money, carbon taxes and such.
If you look back even these so called scientist say that the earth has warmed and cooled in cycles for millions of years. They do not take into account the intensity of the sun or water vapor.
They never mention the heat build up inside the earth that is trying to escape.
If you will check the temperature of the atlantic ocean is going down.
There has been no increase in global temperature in several years as a matter of fact the average temperature has gone down in recent years, and many scientist are now saying that we are in a cooling cycle. Example, increase in tornadoes, tornadoes are spawned by cold dry air. Take away the cold air, no tornadoes.
Also if you read some of the other post here you will see that cracks in the ice is also normal and that the ice sheets have increased in the last two years.

If its about money then lets look at who is getting paid right now because of the way it is. Yup big oil big auto and industry. They have the highest motivation to lie to us and do as much as they can to delay the final wake up. Im stunned that you dont see that... really whos greedier scientists or industrialists?
If you look back even these so called scientist say that the earth has warmed and cooled in cycles for millions of years. They do not take into account the intensity of the sun or water vapor.
So called scientists? What do think these people are hacks that got their degrees out of a cracker jack box? No these are men and women who have had years of advanced school. What makes you think they don't take factors such as sun intensity and water vapor where are you reading this? Do you know about peer review? Its how the scientists of the world check their work by having other qualified people look at their theory's and judge weather they used good methods. If word got out that you were writing bogus work or using shoddy or bias methods it could affect your reputation.
They never mention the heat build up inside the earth that is trying to escape.

You say the Earth is heating up I assume you mean on the inside where did you read that? I'm interested give us a link please.
When they call it global warming they use the word "Global" for a reason that is the entire Earth not one little part and not even one ocean. Its not something that happens in 5 years it take a long time for the temp to go up and we are still pumping CO2 into our atmosphere don't you want to be sure were not going to fuck it up? I have kids and hope to have some grandkids I also want humans to survive and prosper a fucked up climate is not conducive to the long term health of the race.
I thought tornadoes were formed when cold dry air meets warm moist air?
Also if you read some of the other post here you will see that cracks in the ice is also normal and that the ice sheets have increased in the last two years.
I don't know about that and weather it has anything to do with climate change I give it a good chance that its related. The ice sheets increasing conflicts with what I have seen on the subject but I'm sure a google search will find a site or two that supports either position. What matters here is not a year or even 5 of cooler weather but the long term effects of our pollution what will be happening in 50 years if we keep on doing things the way we are? But you calling them "so called scientists" pretty much tells us where you stand. Who or what do you trust?

I misplaced my planets, my bad. damn doomer, you are one tough SOB.
Whoa..., Max Pain. Ya gotta slow it down. way down. You are so concentrated on
CO2 levels that you are NOT taking into consideration of the other chemicals in our atmosphere. You and I do NOT put these there..
Methane Gas, Ash, Smoke, and chemicals that the Armies of the world use to
run their experiments in the ionosphere.
Pollution is a sad reality. It is not why the earth is heating up er globally warming.
The heat comes from the Core of the Earth and the fact that the Convection Currents were intense for years and has overheated the core from 4,000 degrees to over 20,000 degrees. Heat rises my friend. Heat rises and melts stuff.
As a matter of fact, the heating has created a more lucid <other than gummy> substance that the tectonic plates adhere to. This is causing slippage and severe slippage in some areas. Mountain building and/or thrust events are causing some mountains to jut upward and other land masses to sink down..All due to heating of the lithosphere and crust.
Super Cells are forming in our atmoshere because it is unstable.
The earth's axis has a smooth rotation as the mantle deep within adjusts
from a bumpy rotation to a smooth gliding rotation.
Just watch out, the terra firma is very warm and the warmth is sucked up into the cooler atmosphere creating cells and these cells mesh with other cells hanging around up there. bang, unstable atmosphere..
You want to save your kids and worry about the future?
Then teach them how to survive and give them wit.
Their future will be cold as hell my friend. There will be no CO2
blanket to warm the earth. The water vapor will encase the CO2 because there
will more of it. And water and ice ALWAYS WINS OUT.
Pls read this article here, I couldn't say it any better:

Just so you know - there is a younger aged Rockefeller (cannot remember his name) who actually went out and did speaking about " global warming ". He kept telling everyone that the polar caps on Mars were melting as well but because Mars is closer to the Sun than Earth. No one in the audience either knew this or felt the need to correct him. It was Alex Jones who called his bluff and pointed out that Mars is actually further away from the Sun.

Under Fire, White House Releases Report About Global Warming!
Yeah i know here we go again this is a report that was hidden for seven years.
It quotes!
It is likely that there has been a substantial human contribution to surface temperature increases in North America."
Well you can believe this or not but it remains that we are trying to come up,with several answers its the sun! the other planets are experiencing the same!
Unless we were scientists that studies changes in the ice and so forth we seem to be making wild guesses!
Armchair specialists we could say as we guess!
Now has anyone noticed lately okay for the fast news coming in,but within a month we have seen several tornadoes ,floods and as well as tropical storms.
The numbers of affected is almost rising daily, what will it take for us to sit up and take real notice on whats going on around us?

It does point to what we see happening right now the evidence may be clear!

It does point to what we see happening right now the evidence may be clear!
the evidence of what?
earth changes, climate shift happening in front of our eyes, then yes the evidence is there.
If you are talking about man made climate change then; NO!
IMO that report was issued just to keep the GW debate bubbling over and masking the real story; which is that we are entering a MAJOR Earth changes period.
THEY, and you know who THEY are; are not going to say things like:
"there's major seismic activity in the New Madrid zone caused by extreme heating of the core and mantle causing extreme tectonic plate shifting. This in turn is releasing energy into the atmosphere causing major storms all round the area. Also, the Sun is extremely quiet and the earth is compensating for this by heating up from the core. However, there's lots of energetic particles coming in from space, this from the Sun and black holes and other planets in our system. These energies are also to blame for the major storms. Mix this energy with Earth energies from below and we have the major cyclones, tournados and hurricanes we are becoming used to.
This is a World Gov't warning to all coastal dwelling civilians, prepare for extreme weather from now on.
Also, be ready for extreme earthquakes and volcanic activity over the next 10 years while Earth re-sync's with the Sun's new cycle and position in the galaxy.
We should all prepare for either extreme cold or extreme hot, these variances can happen over night in some areas. Within a few years we will know if the next ice age is coming."
news like that would completely freak everybody out! and it would effect world markets everywhere and completely screw the greedy tossbags plans for world domination!
