Not to change the subject or anything, but anyone who would want Mickey dead would do themselves a HUGE disfavor.
I may not agree with what he says, or how Mickey expresses his opinions, but I have to admit I do admire the candid, unapologetic honesty that he expresses himself with. Too many people say they "call it like they see it", but Mickey really does.
People clammer for honesty in their dealings, but are scared of it when they get it.

Serious now: How do you go about discussions in person, Micky? I would imagine the tactics you practise online don't work as well face-to-face where it's harder for people to avoid becoming angry at what seems like a personal attack. You fuq with us, we ALWAYS come back twice as hard.
I grew up a military brat. I remember learning that sentiment before I was in 2nd grade. My Dad taught me... If someone hits you don't run home crying hit them back twice as hard. Maybe that was because we were living in the Philippines at the time. Maybe he just thought it was time I learned. Maybe it is just a military thing. But I do remember it, and only used it once. I did not get in any trouble for giving the neighbor kid a bloody nose after he hit me first. Luckily I have never been in a fight since.

I have gone back and re-read the entire thread...... The first time around it seemed to me that you were saying that wanting revenge on those who desecrated the bodies was hypocritical by those of us who dont usually support violence as your post seemed to be directed at dutchie. I guess that your post supposed to be directed at those who "rejoiced" at the act of desecration itself but after having read the thread again I did not see any posters who were as eager to see AMERICAns killed as a teen getting his first piece of ass......

Ya know DBA, not all people that are over weight are over weight by choice. There are medical reasons as well as genetics and bone structure. Before you make a smart a$$ comment to me, I am not 'fat'.
Attacking a person for their appearance is juvenile at best. Many times, actually I will go as far as saying most times, it is of no fault of the individual. Since you are so quick to jump on my sis about her weight instead of having a difference of opinion or even simply detesting her, am I to assume that you have the looks that have women falling at your feet constantly?

That's total BS. People (male and female) are lazy, Mcfood-eating slobs in North America. If they did some exercise and had a salad every now and then they wouldn't be overweight. Someone can be big-boned and be completely healthy. The people who are FAT (about 40% of the U.S population) have themselves to blame. Don't make silly excuses for laziness, and don't try to tell me 40% of the population has a genetic disorder. I have zero sympathy with FAT people. :burger: :burger: :burger: It's their fault, and they'll pay for it with their lives eventually. I'm with ya, DBA.

Metabolic disorders, diabetes, hypothyroidism, hormonal disorders(particularly those that effect proteins), Prader-Willi Syndrome, Cushing's Disease, the use of Megestrol (used to treat cancer), anti-seizure medications, prescription steroids, mitocondrial disorders, all have a very high potential of leading to or causing people to be overweight. People with one or more of these contributors could diet and exercise every day of their life and still not loose weight. One of my friends had surgery due to cancer recently and is taking Megestrol, I am disgusted that you would say that her weight gain is her fault. She's a wife and a mom and a good friend. Should she have forgone the use of Megestrol to conform to your standards and died?
Granted many many people who have weight problems have them due to poor eating habits and lack of exercise, but these are not always the only factors.

Are you suggesting that 40% of the population is overweight because of the above problems? I don't know the first thing about your friend. I don't even know her name; why would you bring her into this? There are obviously some people who are fated to be overweight regardless of their best efforts - just like dwarfism relegates some to be short. Most people are overweight as a lifestyle choice. Show me a statistic that says otherwise. No excuse, happy-happy love stories; face the facts. Take some responsibility.

Regardless of age and his desire to appear superior, his actions in attacking people due to physical attributes reminds me of a bully on the playground. I am not suggesting that the 40% of the population which is overweight is due only to the problems I displayed. I stated that poor diet and lack of exercise was a major factor. I brought my friend Martha (now you know her name) because you said "I have zero sympathy with FAT people. It's their fault, and they'll pay for it with their lives eventually.", if she had not taken medication with a side effect of weight gain she would more than likely not have survived cancer. Yes, obviously some people are fated to be overweight regardless of their best effort. To say that you have zero sympathy for them is cold, but that's your opinion. I am not argueing with your opinion, I was simply argueing with the fact that you said it was their fault. I have no statistics that state that the highest contributing factor in obesity is something other than poor eating habits and lack of exercise because I never claimed that. I am quite aware of the facts.
Please explain what I need to take responsibility for.

To say that you have zero sympathy for them is cold, but that's your opinion
I'll clarify: I have no sympathy for those who have a choice in their lifestyle. That sounds more reasonable.
Please explain what I need to take responsibility for.
You need to take responsibilty for what you are saying. No excuses should be made for someone who is simply lazy. The world would go to hell if we all did that. It's irresponsible to find a scape goat for simple human failings. We both agree that there are some exceptions.
That's my point. Thanks for the discussion. :toast: Goodnight!

It's good that you work out. It's the best preventative for complications during the aging process. I agree that more than likely less than one in a million people could work out and remain fat. But what if you had a loved one that was not aestheticly perfect? Would you use it as a put down?

I was not making excuses for people who are simply lazy. I was stating fact that it is not always the case. While it is irresponsible to find a scape goat for human failings, it is equally irresponsable to condemn an entire population when that population is not completely responsible for their condition. We may agree that there are exceptions, however initially you did not. Thanks for clarifying your POV. Night! :toast:

Continued support by the majority doesn't prove it is truth. To quote a wit: "Majorities mean nothing: during the Flood only one man knew enough to get out of the rain." The majority wants to hang a man at a lynching but that doesn't make it right. (So good I've used it twice).

And what did I post about staying out of my threads? :Bdevil:
I don't see the intellect in accusing someone of lying, that's an answer anyone can claim. If you "could care less" then that means you care right? So as you care, I feel it only fair to let you know that everything playmaker has said about himself i.e that he was in the Air Force, was involved during the previous Gulf War, that his mother (who by the way, was a stand-up lady) died of cancer two years ago, that he has a young lad, I know to be true.
As a journalist I did a little article on him. He achieved some good things in the music industry, on the sports field (soccer) and some not so good things off it, (the reason for my article). It only surprises me that he sunk to your level regarding these childish posts. You should both grow up. It doesn't take a very big man to threaten someone from across the other side of the Atlantic. He posts on any number of boards in the UK and has never reacted this way. You obviously bring out the worst in him.

I think I'll use you for my next article. I'm thinking of calling it "Modern children and the internet". My six year old niece screams 'liar, liar' at people she doesn't like in the playground. Mickydoolittle DOB 1/1/98. Has your mother warned you to stay away from strange men on the internet little boy? :cryrv:
Just accusing everyone of being a liar shows exactly where you are at on the evolutionary scale. Don't stay up late, school in the morning.

Don't forget, this very thread is devouted to great I am, how great I've been, and how fuq'n great I'll always be.
You just continue with your illiterate rantings. Not only do you cull the "heard", you have a thread "devouted" to yourself. 'SpelChek' cannot save you from using words that have a correct spelling but a totally different meaning.
As for your popularity, I haven't seen anyone backing you up, just you backing yourself up against a wall. Have your disciples deserted you?
America's position as the number one superpower is having zero affect on my life, contrary to what your insecure little jingoistic mumblings might believe. Many countries have been at the top but no country has managed to stay there. If you step on too many toes while you're at the top then they will gladly kick the living sh#t out of you on your way down.
We are not laughing with you, we are laughing at you.

That would be an awesome retort--but your post quoting me is clearly altered from its original form. Go back and check things out if don't believe me, as the times of the alterations are quite ahead of yours. You are a tool beyond believability. If you don’t understand or practice the Queen’s English and must resort to removing items from a post to try and make yourself look better (WHILE ON THE INTERNET), you clearly are the stupidest fuq that ever walked the face of my planet—you’re more dumb than alan.
Popularity?
Hhmmm, how many have posted in your thread? How many views do you have?
You continue to shoot yourself in the foot. You, the person who edits an original post and still leaves two versions of the same statement in the original post of 'Righteous Indignation of a Once Honourable Diligence'. How much of a tool do you have to be?
Your assumptions about quoting you are a joke, a post is not written in sixty seconds (although judging by the thought process that goes into yours) and if you choose to edit, while I'm replying, then there is little I can do about it is there. Whose to say what alterations I make to my posts. (You of course know everything). You are scraping the bottom of the barrel with hypothesis, whereas I am providing proof of your illiteracy, I cannot edit your post.
Can't say that I ever claimed to be popular, so what's your point? I am just questioning your claims.

Stop your lies--you don't think.
Why else would you both be here if you weren't generating falsehoods about alleged military service and alleged reporting? You're both a couple of liars...that's fine, but when you get called on it repeatedly and have the proof flapped in your virtual face, don't whine and try to weasel away from it--accept it, like normal human beings and move on.
You claim I'm illiterate, that's super. That's the absolute best you can do? You still suck. :indec:
Well, now that you've had your virtual ass handed to you repeatedly (as well as your poof friend pp88), you just don't seem to realize how fuq'n stupid you present your self to be. Frankly, I'm growing tired of your elementary attitude coupled with your ignorant, low-brow behavior. All you do here is come up against micky--a member whom you'll never understand nor find a way to attack (oooohhhhh--you're spelling is bad, that's all you got----geezus, either you're not looking hard enough or my genius is blinding your every attempt).
You claim to be above it all, yet you're hashing it out ON-LINE with what you describe as a child. Now, HOW FUQ'N STUPID DO YOU FEEL? You admit to having an online argument with what you describe as a child....you ARE a tool. You've been proven to be quite the idiot.

I'll grant a reprieve here as it seems that some members are not happy with my staunch yet expected retorts. My hotmail acct has been blazing, so you should feel grateful ... and quasi-accepted.
GRESP, you can still kiss my ass as this is directed at pp88.
If you can do three of the following five things, you may have shown your worth to me--not that that actually counts for anything, but I get my shits and giggles none-the-less. Gotta get 'em where you can, ya know?
Start applying some solid intelligent thought to your posts concerning all your interests here. Enjoy the entire board, roam around and most importantly look at the archives--there's boundless entertainment there.
Focus on the topic and actually build a debate on founded reason and unshakeable evidence. This will go further at limiting your attackers. I'm ample proof of such.
Use your abilities to see through the majority of the smoke and mirrors, instead of being distracted by them. A number of members use such tactics to divert attn from the more important glossed over aspects of their topics. Don't be fooled.
(this could be asking too much tho)
Use some creative wit in your responses and your retorts. A flame is only as good as it's first impression, therefore, if you're not rolling with laughter or shocked to revulsion--in a good way, you're wasting your time and everyone else's who took the time to read said response. Unless you can give them the five minutes of their life back for wasting it on a blase post, don't post crap in the first place.
Just because you're being attacked, doesn't mean you can't attack as hard or better. This is the internet, and it really doesn't matter in the end--just like religion, politics, and how large your bank account is upon your death. If you want a good old flame war, come back to my thread here, I'm always game for dastardly behavior. Just don't involve kids or old women--I draw a line there and will wear my fingers to the knuckles of my hands virtually destroying whoever does such.
Oh yeah, I'd be supported for doing so, as well.
There's my suggestions. Try 'em out for awhile and see which of them work out best for you.
You should know we don't hate you, but I might.
If you don't consider the above, well--you've seen what I can do in meantime. :vbroll:

Of course you've seen them before--md is contstantly reminding the lower intelligent masses of this and often repeats posts with an alarming regularity. Jesus H. Christ, you provide clear evidence of being the apparent fuq'n idiot. If you dislike md's posts or think those posts are so offensive, md reminds you to click ignore. Anything other only indicates you're a filthy liar in your complaints. In short, you run at md with your tired and oft repeated lame responses. MD counters, as always, with superior and devastating retorts. You bitch about the lack of creativity and md has to remind you to click ignore. It's as simple as this. You ramble on and dribble your shit about nothing in particular and expect ppl to take notice. If md wasn't as popular as md is, md would have little to no interest from the rest of the board in the threads that md creates. The numbers speak for themselves and never lie--unlike some..hint. hint.
Blah blah blah. Keep proving yourself the icon for representing the mass of idiocy you appear to be so proud of.

I can tell you are a little worked up by all this. You seemed not to notice I was offering you some advice to protect yourself. Everyone has the right to "Ignore" thoes they feel they have a problem with. Just a piece of advice to help you not get into conflict with someone who is very good at turning what you say around to bite you in the butt.
The 17 year old you speak of is very good at holding his own with the people on the board. He has also held his own in discussions with MD.
He is racist, he has a foul mouth and despite what he claims he has very little opinion, just contradictory abuse to offer. Yet, so many flock to his cause. I don't know who is sadder.
That is why the board has modarators. They will do what they feel is necessary and when they feel it is necessary. They do not always agree with MD but they do agree with his 1st amendment right to have his say just as they will protect your right to have your say. If you want to say it to MD watch out because he will bite. I think he has even bitten me once or twice.
Again if you feel that way you should protect yourself from his opinions. Don't put yourself in harms way. If you really feel that way about MD then just look at his posts, Have a good laugh at them and move along.

Hey Micky,
Only yesterday I was at our local licquorstore, and at one moment I was holding a bottle of Dalwhinnie (Single Malt, 15 years old).
Dalwhinnie is the highest altitude location on the Speyside, and claims to have the best water.
Are you familiar with this one?

I am familiar with this particular brand. Mum has a bottle of it lying around the place somewhere.
dutchie
Oct 6th, 2004, 5:59 AM
....and?!?
Edge
Oct 6th, 2004, 6:06 AM
Well she refers to it as a woman's whiskey. I've had a bit of it but I haven't developed a taste for whiskey or scotch - I'd prefer a twany port (well any kind of port as I can't really taste much of a difference out of the ones I've tried when Dad's offered me a glass). I have a while to go before I could make a valid submission on this topic.
EDIT: Its here in the kitchen, same as the picture you posted but from my knowledge its been here for around four years. I can ask either of my parents about it if you want an indepth description of it. My dad should be able to do that fairly well as he is a scotch man.
2nd EDIT: Another reason behind myself not being able to give it a review that a fifteen year old malt deserves is because last time I had it was straight - with maybe a little ice. Mum's just having a bit of it now; she saw a rat and has gone a bit berzerk because of it.
dutchie
Oct 6th, 2004, 6:21 AM
Sure, please ask him - always interested in anyone's opinion of a good Malt.. :2thumbs:
Edge
Oct 6th, 2004, 6:42 AM
Ok well Dad's just had to calm Mum down a bit so I'll try to get him to write something up in the near future, probably on the weekend. But so far the best description I can give you is that it has femmine overtones to it and that it is intended for the female market.
dutchie
Oct 6th, 2004, 7:20 AM
Hahaha!! Was your mom really screaming?!? Well, looks like she isn't doing a good job in your house seeing that you have rats running around....
Just kidding!!
A good Malt shouldn't be wasted with lots of ice. You just pour a tiny bit of mineral water in the whisky to make the taste come out, and you sip it, taking your time... It's not milk, you know...
As far as the "feminine market".. I can hardly imagine any Single Malt distillerie going for that.. Sounds more like those horrible, sweet cream drinks, like Baileys....
Edge
Oct 6th, 2004, 7:33 AM
Yeah she was close to screaming - its one of her phobias. Its probably been attracted to my sister's Guinea Pig feed and left over bird seed.
Well I've had a wee little sip from mum's just before and it does have a very subtle flavour to it. Perhaps thats what she was refering to. Tell me have you tried this particular number out yet or are you sussing it out first?
dutchie
Oct 6th, 2004, 7:37 AM
No, I was just standing in the store, contemplating my options...
Then I thought about Micky and how much he loves a good Malt, and I decided to ask his advice first. It's not the cheapest of drinks, you know..
playmaker88
Oct 6th, 2004, 6:56 PM
It is subtle, smooth and a delicately smokey malt with a honey finish. Have a bottle here in my cabinet and that pretty much sums it up. I tend to drink it without the mineral water which is not necessarily a good thing but that's how I like it.
My father brought it back from a golfing trip in Scotland, (not speyside though) and had it on good authority that it is definately one of the premiere samples of a single malt. 15 years old and for all its subtlety tasty. I'm not the best person to tell you this because I never have a bad word to say about these things, they always make me feel good. Thanks for giving me the excuse to indulge in another taster.
Iechyd da! (Your continued good health).

Wow, 30 years old?!? What brand was that? And at a reasonable price?!?
The MacAllan 18 does about € 80 here ($100).. Did you ever have a chance to check that one out? I thought it had a long, sweet aftertaste too. Tones of banana, honey, hazelnuts and a slight bitter. Man.....

I'd prefer a twany port
When it comes to a bottle of wine I perfer a good Tawny Port as well. Taylor NewYork makes a good one. My personal favorite. Not expensive but has a full body flavor. :wine:
http://www.taylorreserve.com/wines/images/tawnyport.jpg
TAWNY PORT
Taylor Tawny Port, with its smooth caramel flavor and nutty aroma, is perfect as a cocktail or an after dinner drink. This tawny colored, medium bodied port is delightful and rich in flavor. Serve at room temperature.
http://www.taylorreserve.com/wines/wines.htm
As for hard Liquior I am more of a Rum drinker. A good DARK Rum is my favorite. A shot over Ice or straight... Makes a nice sipping drink on cold wet nights.
Although a good, well aged, Burbon is very nice as well.

I informed you about the Macallan 18 over a year ago...of course I know about the Macallan 18...it is a personal fav. Nothing else but the 25 yr old could take it's place. The Macallan costs about the same in AMERICA--yea globalization!
I never got the bannana or honey aftertaste from the 18 yr old tho...hhhmmmm. I am glad however that you are enjoying it as it is a quality scotch.
