Armageddon will probably be absolute chaos. Plagues of Sheep and Infomertials, Dolphin Warships destroying major cities, ect. It'll be just plain crazy and it will happen when you least expect it. That's what I want from armageddon something interesting to watch.

Hi everyone. I'm a 19-year old Engineering student from Finland, a county in Scandinavia that resembles Canada in some ways. This is my first post, so bear with me.
This would be an interesting way to end things:
Someone builds giant speakers that can broadcast messages around the world. Then that same idiot starts to play Hanson's "MMMMMbap" (or whatever it is) on a 8-second loop. Most people and animals would tear their brains out thru their ears because of it, the only people who would remain are:
- The Hanson Band itself
- George W. Bush
- Fashion Designers
- Teenagers with an IQ less that 80
We'd be pretty much screwed should that happen.
This would be an interesting way to end things:

Armageddon.......
The way the world is today it can be at any moment. You have the people in the White House basically walking into countrys and controlling them how ever they want (Iraq, Afghanistan).....you actually thing Karzai is leading that country? USA = Nazi Germany....you think it gonna stop with those two....if Bush gets elected for another four years it's gonna be a hell of a ride....9/11 will be nothing compared to what's going to happen....I'm waiting to see if some rogue group takes control of Pakistan and has control of their nukes....wouldn't that be special....besides that I'm also waiting on what country the USA trys to walk into next....bombing after bombing will happen if we make a 'real' wrong move....Israel....USA.....nuclear holocaust......thats Armageddon. I really in my mind think this is just the beginning of something really big....

I think it's going to start with peak oil causing skirmishes between countries in the Middle East and Asia over resources. I think these countries (probably a league of arab countries, Russia and China) will then unite and invade Israel to capture the oil that will eventually be discovered there (Zion Oil (http://www.zionoil.com)).

I think armegeddon will come in the form of some GM bug that some whacked out religious fanatic cooks up in somer basement lab. Sort of a "Dawn of the Dead" scenario but as the pig enduring a hot dusty ride to the market found out - the wurst was yet to come.
The Hanson's music and an astroid the size of Titan arer just backups in case the bug thing doesn't work. :evbat:

I suspect magnetic polar shift will have an incredibly powerful effect the magma inciting all volcanoes world wide to become active spewing out an ash cloud large enough to cover two thirds of the earth for a decade.
A double whammy sort of a situation.
All the same, I think humanity will sally forth.
At least until all the nations struggling for resource nuke each other.

I was recently watching a show called "Prophets of Doom" and I think it's going to happen in a number of ways they were talking about. Oil, water, financial, overpopulation, technology, and terrorist issues will get more drastic as time goes on which will prompt all the countries to act in a hostile way as be fight for what's left.
Is it just me or did the clock for armageddon start a long time ago and we're starting to get closer and closer to a more defining moment that will bring the end (or change) of the world as we know it?

As far as the World ending I wouldn't know, I don't think humanity will survive THAT long.
As for Humanity, I don't think we've peeked yet. I think in the next twenty years we're just going to see a major cultural shift.

Eye dont think its coming at all....imagine. How many billions of people would have to rethink how they think, what they expect, what they imagine, if they weren't conditioned or assimilated into the concepts of Armageddon.

Since such events occur with regularity, the odds of an event occurring increase with each passing day.
The most likely event would be an X-Class Solar Flare, followed by your own megalomaniac scientists unleashing some disease or genetic monstrosity, an Asteroid Impact or a Toba-like Volcanic Event.
If Americans don't stop acting like jack-asses, someone's going to pop four 450-kt nuclear warheads about 60 miles up in the atmosphere and send the US (and most of Canada) back into the Stone Age and then laugh while Americans run around eating each other to survive.
As far as the Earth being destroyed, you'll have to wait until the Milky Way Galaxy collides with the Andromeda Galaxy for the best chance of that happening. Of course, long before that the Sun will turn into a red giant and vaporize every living thing on Earth.
If life on Earth gets wiped out, that's it, there's no recovery. With natural background radiation being negligible as it is, there won't be any more evolution, at least not the scale that originally occurred.

I have to say that i like the X- class flare. Just think, most of the U.S. waking up one morning to find no computers, cell phones, electricity, even most cars just dead. Can you being to imagine the panic. The economic devestation. Most people are not wired to deal with that and even if we could I'm sure someone out there would use the opportuinty to settle a few scores. To go to sleep in 2011 and wake up in 1897 would be some peoples worst fears.
