Today is July 19, 2009. Where are the Hurricanes?

Where are the "Named Tropical Storms"

There are none, strange, has something happened?

I know we have until late fall, yet to go but, not a single named storm so far....

I keep being told that each season will have more storms as we warm.
And that the storms will be worse.

Is this only a fluke? :chopper:

the storms have passed you by because Obama's stimulus packages have pissed them of so bad they refuse to do their yearly holiday in the US anymore.

just another example of how Obama is making things worse for America with every decision he makes.

if it hadn't been for Obama messing around like an idiot there'd be Normal Weather - or maybe if he'd bothered to get his US Citizenship.

Blame Obama - everyone else does about everything else after all ...

Upper level winds have been very strong. This could change, but for now, it means that little or no activity is expected.

With the space shuttle in orbit, however, this could change [in an instant.] (http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/flt/t1/loop-vis.html)

You should really ask why everything "peter's out"
they form, and then they are gone...
the elnino/elnina theories are suppose to be at work here
yet they are not producing any type of values.
hmmm.

and last weeks sunspot got everyone "upset" heh.
boy, they all jumped on that little bugger didn't they?
and what happened? it petered out...just like um....
well, you know the rest.

good question. GREAT QUESTION dragon.

Yes, Yes, what happen to the sun spot?
It just disappeared, LOL.

Yes, it got lots of attention, briefly.

A sleeping sun produces no storms.......

By the way, I'm sorry if the .gif is too large for dial up. It takes a lot of time to fix these, but I'm trying to find a short cut.

OD - as your punishment, if we now have a hurricane with its sights set on South East Florida - you must come down and put up our hurricane shutters and wait in the hour long line at the gas station to fill up gas cans. And then you have to go to Walmart or wherever and fight with other Floridians for the last of the bottled water and ice. And you should probably get some beer 'cause it's banned after the hurricane hits for some stupid reason.

Well Jena, I guess because it is you and DVD, I'll fill up the truck with food and beer and ice and head south.http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk71/fiferoll5/hurricane.jpg
I can probably get good money for ice and cold beer after it hit$.

Or we could all meet at your house and have a Hurricane party.

Things are beginning to heat up rapidly, and I can't keep more than one or two threads updated. Here you can find my [predictions and/or commentary,] (http://forums.armageddononline.org/2009-hurricane-season-t17678.html) and here you may vote on where you would like to have your [hurricane party] (http://forums.armageddononline.org/would-you-like-t21486.html) this year.

So far, leading cities and places in contention are Cape Canaveral, FL, and New York City-Long Island, NY. Vote now to hold your reservation.
