Well yes, the time has come for the Mac to introduce himself to the panel..

My name is Jo (pronounced as YO) 31 and live in the center of Belgium, in a town called Halle. I'm living together with my Brazilian girlfriend for the last 6 years now, and it keeps getting better.

I've travelled half around the world, mainly because of my previous job at Brussels Int'l airport, on the other hand because of the very cheap (if not free) tickets I received from a wide variety of airline companies.

My hobbies re : Medieval roleplaying, visit us at : Sangliers Sangiunaires (Bloodthirsty Bars) (http://www.sangliers.be)
Driving my bike, a BMWR1100GS, transformed into a supermotard (like an all terrain bike with racing tyres)
And of course, darts. Been playing this game in competition level for 17 years now, and I still sock...

I found this place when surfing for some info about the Yellowstone Super Volcanoe and kept visiting AO ever since. At least a place where everything can be discussed, in deep and sometimes rather rough, but that's the way I like it. I'm still more in the reading mode than in the posting mode, simply because it's pretty difficult sometimes for me as a non-english speaker to properly write down what I mean, and a lot of links I would like to post are not in English, but ho.... I'm getting there!! :D

Another thing I love is to have a good laugh, I think some people already noticed that on AO... as I noticed some great comedians and charlatans around here :grin

I've been visiting AO for about 6 months now (Or so I think), and met some wonderfull characters on this board, who also keep sticking around, so I decided today to contribute to AO, to keep this great site going!

Yours Truly,

MacRasta

From your post sounds like you have a very comfortable life style. I am continuously impressed with bilingual people. I think in Europe the ability to communicate in more than one language is the norm. In the US I find that alot of, if not most people only speak english (and sometimes not very well). The numbers of individuals who speak spanish as well as english may be on the rise. I am not sure about that but from the large latino populations in this country I would imagin Spanish would be prevelant.

I also found this site looking for Yellowstone information, and decided to stay as well. AO is such a melting pot of ideas and beliefs, a true diamond on the internet.

Glad to see you here and looking forward to more of your posts.

Thanks MJade, and like I said in another post, tnx for the follow up on the webicorder activity, hats off to you for that!

In fact I speak 5 languages : Dutch, French, German, English and Portugese. If you don't speak Spanish to fast, I'll understand ya aswell. There are not so many people in Europe who speak different languages. Even English is not spoken everywhere.
For example, In France, very few people speak English, only French, Same for Germany, Spain, and a lot of other countries in Europe. Only in Holland you'll find people who speak a few languages, but in the scandinavian countries a lot of people speak English, and they speak it very well.
Even in Belgium : we have 3 official languages, in a small country like this, and only the dutch speaking people speak different languages. Probably because Dutch isn't spoken much around the world, so we need to know other languages to get around (and find jobs, for a lot of jobs around here, you need to speak 3 languages).

And surely I'll keep on posting around here! Hope you do to! :yeah:

Welcome to the board.

You're quite the character.

Your posts are found amusing by micky. It is further suggested by micky that you should stick around and become a regular--not that you haven't begun to do so already.

It is anticipated that you will continue to offer your humor and insight to the rest of us.
