BEIJING (AFP) - – Chinese meteorologists covered Beijing in snow Sunday after seeding clouds to bring winter weather to the capital in an effort to combat a lingering drought, state media reported.
The unusually early snow blanketed the capital from Sunday morning and kept falling for half the day, helped by temperatures as low as minus 2 Celsius (29 Fahrenheit) and strong winds from the north, Xinhua news agency reported.

(And they say Man doesn't control the weather. Hummm ... Liars)

Hindsight - Mankind CONTROLS the weather in the same way we can Control the flow of a river. that is to say, we can Alter it Temporarily, we can give 'suggestions' by adding our own influence into the mix, but we do NOT control the water. One good thunderstorm can undo centuries of effort. Same with Weather as a whole ...

the dangers with such meddling fall into the category of, "What happens as a spin off result of this meddling?"

with a complex system as huge as the Weather there is no singular form of Control available to us - only our ever increasing abilities to Influence Local Zones of weather patterns. and with any complex system, adding additional variables can create Massive side effects after a few iterations of the system cycle.

but this isn't to say we cannot Alter the Weather - we can. and the consequences of such hubris are just becoming known now ...

Mez. Thanks for the correction of English. English is not my first language, it's my fourth. I don't mind being corrected if I've chosen the wrong word. G'day, Mate.
