It seems they are suing a 19 year old girl over the prefix "MC"
She has been doing a charitable event called MCFest which has zero to do with McDonalds,as her last name is MCclouski ect....show them we mean buisness.
Leave the girl ALONE!!!

I'm not surprised by anything those corporate jackals do to be quite frank.

This is such mcbullshit. Copyright infringement is pretty cut and dried here and Lauren should come out of this unscathed. However, McAsshole's has the big guys to represent them and their family of products... I'm sure that an amicable agreement can be reached here, and Mcdonald's should, if for no other reason, out of pure business sense, drop this suit and donate to this gal's charity. Maybe the judge won't be a lazy fat-ass Mcdonald's lover and see that Lauren and her partner were trying to do good and have worked very hard to get where they are.

I'm not lovin' it..

So watch out you Irishmen. If you're name begins with Mc you could end up in court on copywrite infrigement. WTF??

I love boycotting things. I have been boycotting veal since I was 10 years old. Fur since I was 6 or 7, circuses with animal acts since I was 12, KFC for the past 4 years and Red Lobster (or any place that buys Canadian seafood) for I don't even know how long because of seal hunting. I'm in!

I've already cussed them out on their "contact us" restaurant feedback page. You all should as well. Mention how fucking retarded they are for suing this girl, and tell them you'll never eat at their joke of an establishment again, as I did. Be sure to use many four letter words.

No problem... I'd boycotted them from the beginning, because of their hitler youth approach to advertising and their selling-out to the Nixon-supporting Dairy Lobby, jamming every food-item with cheese. In '79 or so, when they introduced breakfasts, I finally began going there for about a year-or-two. Then, they went Cali, or valley-girl (mickey deez) with their advertising and I've boycotted 'em ever since.

I think the family should just sue McDonald for using the MC. They used it first after all.

But seriously, do they really expect to come further than the point in the trail where the defended has to call out its surname?

A bunch of companies are pulling this dick moves. Facebook recently pulled a guy's vanity URL--which was his last name--and sold it to a company instead.

Cameron had the name "Avatar" long before the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" came out. (1994 is when his script was written) That's why they lost on the name.

Paramount confirmed the pact with Shyamalan just hours after Fox Filmed Entertainment announced it is greenlighting James Cameron's "Avatar," the director's first feature since "Titanic."

Although they may have the same name, the two projects have nothing to do with each other in terms of storylines. Cameron's is a sci-fi action-adventure that he's been working on for 11 years.

Versus

Created by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, "Avatar" debuted on the Nicktoons lineup in February 2005.

the last time I was at a McDonalds was in the early 1990's - I went to get a green milkshake in a stoned fit.

Stabby said it best - why eat there anyway? the place is repugnant.

I have been frequenting non-fast-food type places, like Memphis Blues Barbeque House and Vera's Burgers (I think they're local though Vera's might be a larger chain). their preparation of food is definitely not the factory process - you have to wait up to 15 minutes for your order at Vera's and at Memphis Blues if they've run out of something it's out until the next day since they slow cook their stuff for 8 - 10 hours.

there are so many reasons not to go to McD's that it's just a general rule of thumb for me.

Don't hate because you have an inferiority complex. That man turns me on in a number of ways. His personal strength, discipline and grace under pressure. All qualities I no longer have. I admire him. His articles are intelligently written and come not only from personal experience, but also from an amazing amount of objectivity. Something very rare these days. Plus, he's a DOG MAN! That makes him superior. My former and future service dogs thank him and his proactive lifestyle. I wish I had even half that personal dedication and drive anymore. I know it can't come easily. Social agoraphobia keeps me imprisoned in my apartment these days but I didn't come by it from being knifed by attackers.

It's just really sad that McDumbles took a backseat while it's employees chased and hit him with garbage can lids.

Its known as becoming deaf, dumb and blind because with constricted arteries and too much sugar in your blood it becomes too difficult for the body and blood to operate properly. Totally caused by poor diet which I say is a bigger threat to us than terrorism by a long shot. I want to put all not scientifically prepared foods out of business so we dont need a health care bill and people will live in perfect health indefinatly. Any yes this planet can easily handle ten times this many people and still operate like a Swiss watch if you let me lead the planet instead of the evil ones with the secret complicated systems that only serve them but are supposed to be service industry which by the way I want to automate out of busness permanently.

You people either want to change or you dont, the politicians never change because they know nothing other than how to produce bad news.

The proof that I have the abilty to lead tough business is in the 25 years I have led several of the largest, fastest and highest volume bakeries in the USA. I do not make mistakes, I permanently resolve problems all day until they are gone and I have the highest, safety, customer saticsfaction and efficiency rates in the history of baking. All of your politicians combined do not have a combined resume that even comes close to mine. Bread and fishes are what I know how to mutiply and catch like no other but that is just the tip of the iceberg. You cannot outperform me in either of those catagories and I find it unlikely your incompetent leaders can outperform me at anything productive, athletic, sporting or intellectual.

Just because you follow politicians and I stand against them does not mean you are not the one who is being lied to and deceived.

I look at results, mine are perfect day after day for decades and your leaders just produce one disaster after another, Tell Obama and his banker and stock market friends that I do not have any need for such people anymore and I want to automate those bums out of business and forgive all the debts of the world at the same time. I am the worlds most successful process improvement and production manager and your leaders are not qualified to run a road side fruit stand. Our abilities and accomplishments are 8 light years apart as in mine were extremely valuable and theirs was extremely destructive. Choose wisely says the Bible.

That's one of the best parts of being a cook (did it for 3-4 years) Taste testing all the good stuff yer making is vital... every good cook tastes as they go ;) - That's like rule #1... or maybe 2 - right after, thou shalt not chop off thy fingers.

Even the loaded hashbrowns I make from time to time (bacon, peppers) and sausage / or something with them are probably overall better for a person than a typical mc donalds breakfast. Their "hashbrown" if I'm not mistaken, is just a deep fried chunk of potato....
