The episode features the character Chris falling for a girl with Down syndrome. On a date, he asks what her parents do.

She replies: "My dad's an accountant, and my mom is the former governor of Alaska."

Uh, this from a woman who calls her child an "it" and "retarded baby"

Judge Judy reprimanded her on Larry King Live about that, saying that while we are in the middle of such economic troubles, wars, terrorists, and such high unemployment that she ought to quit worrying about stupid PC crap and instead, as a public servant, focus on fixing the nation's problems. Pwned.

EDIT

Here is the transcript:

KING: Fox's "Family Guy," the animated series, used Down Syndrome, which Trig Palin, her son, has, as the butt of a joke. Sarah Palin slammed the show. She's also called on the White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, for using the word "retarded".

Is she overreacting?

SHEINDLIN: You know, I think that sometimes -- yes. I think she's overreacting. I think that sometimes men and women say stupid things that they wish, as soon as the words come out of their mouth, they could take back. But I don't think that that necessarily is a demonstration of who they are. You know, we sometimes spit something out and say, oh, I'm sorry. I wish I could grab that back. And you can't.

And I think Rahm Emanuel probably would have liked to have taken back that word. But I think, again -- you know, Iran is a nuclear power. Millions of people in this country don't have jobs. More than half the mortgages are underwater.

Why are we fretting about it?

We have such big things to fret about, I don't see fretting about this P.C. baloney. I think we are much too involved with P.C. baloney for my taste.

The woman who did the voice of the character, has DS in real life. So while Palin is screaming that any one making fun of her retard(That's what she calls it) baby is evil and wrong and retarded and... well, there you go. Maybe she should have learned who did the voice before blasting them?

I would say this is just more evidence that she isn't ready to be President.

Did we see Obama getting all offended at the blatant racism of some of the people at the GOP rallies? No, we didn't. Because he realized there were more important things to worry about. We didn't see McCain getting all pissy about jokes about old people, etc.

With Palin, however, we see a woman who takes it really personal and has to go on a massive public crusade, all the while we have massive problems in the country.

THAT is NOT what I want in a President. I don't want some PMSing Drama Queen raising hell every time someone offends her as the person in charge of "pressing the button" on a nuke.

She is such a hypocritical bitch. She lambasts some who use the word retard, but when it is Rush Limbaugh, she says it is okay when HE says it because it is "satire". What the fuck is Family Guy, then, but satire?

The actress who played the voice for the Family Guy character, who actually has Down's Syndrome, scathingly responded:

"I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm".

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes."

Seth McFarlane also told Palin to fuck off, said that the actress didn't need Palin's pity. LOL

Off topic Alert:

Who they heck names their child "Trig"?

To be honest, I never really saw much in Palin, but the more I see on her the less convinced I become that she even stand a chance of winning the party nomination. Huckabee or Romney would eat her alive in a real debate. Both have the intelligence and experience to easily expose here lack of credibility.

That and they wouldn't have notes written on their hands!

Anyways, glad Seth and the actress who did the voice told Sarah she can go eat shit and die.

Where did they say that... Iwould like to see it as you stated it.

As to this story,it was a low rent jibe at Palin... but she should expect it from the crowd out there who hate her guts. Who cares what she named her kid, BTW,as there are many worse and wierder names out there. The black community, not to sound racist, comes up with some pretty off the wall names for their children,on occasion. While living in Louisiana most of my life, the names I heard there were often funny as hell... both black and then the coon-ass cajun names too! The best is when the ignorant name there child with a word they can't spell... so the child goes thru life with a truely fucked up name.

People should lay off the children of politicians... as it is a low rent way to get publicity... and if members here can't see that it is not correct, then they are low rent!

Or, politicians should just realize that by putting themselves in the public spotlight people are going to maliciously attack them, eh?

And they should ALL be concerned with being PUBLIC SERVANTS, not about settling the score with the person that said that their kid is retarded, or spoiled brats, or alcoholic whores, or butt-ugly bitches, etc etc. - paraphrasing Judge Judy again ;)

They need to have thicker skin and focus on doing a good job. The only time they need to defend themselves against malicious attacks is if they are the (deceiving) type that would cause voters to vote for another candidate. If you're not in office, how can you serve the public (and again, public service should be their aim).

EDIT- and yeah, it's wrong to make fun of the children of politicians, but politicians should already expect that, and should treat it like water rolling off of a duck.

I agree that politicians are in the publics gaze, but some things are just plain chicken shit attacks... this attack against her being one of them. I also agree she should mind her temper and move on... but if someone does not stand up and speak their peace, then the outrage can only get worse. It has gotten to the point of people being numbed to insults and tyraids... when will the low rent behavior stop?

Pico,

I think that Palin is making the assumption that mentally impaired ppl are incapable of making their own choices and need her to champion them. I love that the Family Guy actress slapped her down on that bullshit. The last thing people with Down's need is pity. And also her whole butthurt reply to Rham's use of the word "retarded" is...retarded. Who died and made her Protector of All Handicapped People? They actually have mouths and brains of their own...
