Well total umm baloney, you take money out of religion and you would not have Fathers driving 50,000$ USD cars thats for sure. But taking money out would not effect true believers a bit.
I believe money should be taken out of it though 100% The Catholic churches books look more like Century 21 with hundreds of properties in every state. They are nothing but a business but there are a few churches I know around here and one in particular that the little bit of money they get fixes the church roof, feeds the family whose house just burned down ect. While there minister drives 15 y/o mini-vans, works two other jobs to survive. That my friend is not about money, that is about faith. Believe in the Lord or not, faith is a strong thing for those that do.

Religion is faith you do not need to be a church goer to be religious plenty of religious groups meet in member homes, ect. You directly stated (not implied) if there was no money in religion then it would cease to exist and though the Catholic Church may disappear the Christion religion would persevere. The Muslim religion would persevere as would many other RELIGIONS. If you belong to a non-denomational group you are still religious no? I did not misunderstand your post if anything you mis-stated your post.
