The US military is trying to start a war with Iran, and they have been caught trying to use the UK to do the dirty work for them.
In July last year the US military commander in Iraq ordered thousands of British troops to launch a full-scale attack on Iranian positions at the border with Iran. If the British commander had not broken the chain of command by blocking the orders, it is likely that the allies would now be at war with Iran. ( http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000102&sid=a.nypwI_GHlQ&refer=uk )
A recent open memorandum published by the Project for the New American Century under the title "Regime Change for Iran" makes it clear what the agenda is for Iran. PNAC is a powerful group which claims to "advise" the US government on policy and strategy, but its members actually happen to be the decision-makers themselves. (http://www.newamericancentury.org/iran-20040224.htm )
Iran is currently surrounded by American and British forces on both sides, with US-occupied Iraq on its Western border and US-occupied Afghanistan on its Eastern border.

Then, Iran forced eight British servicemen into its territorial waters when its troops captured them earlier this month, Britain said Wednesday.
The eight were detained by Iranian Revolutionary Guards after they were seized on the Shatt al-Arab waterway along the Iran-Iraq border.
They were handed over to British diplomats after three nights when Tehran said they had mistakenly veered off course.
Defense Secretary Geoff Hoon said the men had a different story.
"The initial assessment... was that these service personnel could have strayed into Iranian waters by mistake," Hoon said in a written statement to parliament. ( http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=5556393 )
Bhahaha, Well... The official story that commandos with 3 GPS units just got lost never did hold up now did it? They were spies!
"It has emerged that the Royal Marines arrested off the coast of Iran are from Faslane and Arbroath. It is understood they were on a secret reconaissance mission when they were confronted by the Iranian authorities. Foreign secretary Jack Straw is locked in talks trying to secure the marines' safe return." (http://scotlandtoday.scottishtv.co.uk/content/default.asp?page=s1_1_1&newsid=4125 )
Here we have all these instances of the US using the UK, trying to find any reason they can to blow the shit out of that part of the desert. It's coming sooner or later dontcha think? Sailing their ships into Iranian water, sending spies, and all the while getting caught... hoping for some excuse to go ahead and invade...

U.S. Device Seen at Supected Iran Atomic Site
A radiation monitoring device spotted in Iran at a razed site where Washington suspects Iran conducted covert atomic bomb-related research was itself made in the United States and sold directly to Tehran, sources said. ( http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=5499017 )
This is a repeat of the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, where items used to "prove" Iraq's WMD program turned out to be innocuous devices sold by the US and UK to Iraq.
Swap "Iraq" for "Iran" and this piece reads exactly like the pro-war articles we saw the mainstream media inundate America with two years ago. Remember when the headlines where "Iraq is just 3 years away from making a nuclear bomb"?
Why shouldn't Iran seek nuclear weapons?
(After all, we've seen what the US does to nations that DON'T really have WMDs)
On Saturday, June 12th, Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, in a pugnacious and defiant statement on the eve of this week's major IAEA meeting to discuss his country's nuclear ambitions, finally came out and said that Iran "has to be recognized by the international community as a member of the nuclear club." This, he vowed, is "an irreversible path."
Iranian officials have repeatedly insisted that Tehran's nuclear program is intended to generate electricity, not warheads. But many suspect -- not to put too fine a point on it -- that they are lying. Why? Because the temptation for Iran to develop a potent nuclear arsenal of its own -- driven by the contradictions of George Bush's foreign and nuclear policies -- may in the end prove too seductive to resist. ( http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0618-14.htm )
Iran has long maintained that its nuclear facilities are purely to create energy, and denies that it is developing nuclear weapons. ( I guess Iran doesn't need ANY nuclear technology because they have all that lovely OIL!)

Iran massing troops on Iraq border
Beirut, Lebanon, Jun. 15 (UPI) -- Iran reportedly is readying troops to move into Iraq if U.S. troops pull out, leaving a security vacuum.
The Saudi daily Al-Sharq al-Awsat, monitored in Beirut, reports Iran has massed four battalions at the border.
Al-Sharq al-Awsat quoted "reliable Iraqi sources" as saying, "Iran moved part of its regular military forces towards the Iraqi border in the southern sector at a time its military intelligence agents were operating inside Iraqi territory." ( "So, you see, we just HAVE to keep our troops there. We just HAVE to. HAVE to. Get that? We Have to stay. Really." )
Back during desert storm, the US warned that Iraqi troops were massing on the border with Saudi Arabia. The Saudis believed the claim and allowed the US to stage Desert Storm out of their territory. Then the St. Petersburg Times broke the story that the photos the US showed to the Saudis were fakes, and that commercial satellite photos taken of the border at the same time showed there were no troops there at all. ( http://www.representativepress.org/LiesAboutIraq.html )\
Undeterred by the results of pre-emptive war in Iraq, the House of Representatives passed a non-binding resolution May 6 authorizing pre-emptive military strikes against Iran. The vote was 376-3. ( http://nyc.indymedia.org/newswire/display_any/93431 )

Here's an idea. Let's just nuke the whole area and turn it into one big-ass glass parking lot. Then we can westernize all of it, and put Mc Donalds everywhere? Sound good? The "Axis of Evil"... how do you feel about war on 3 fronts? Another "prevenitive strike"?
