This is kinda reminding me of a plane load of Polish officials and their CEO that mysteriously fell from the sky not too long ago -

My thoughts, exactly.
Mine too.
Sadly, even this issue is being given local political spin. Apparently it's the Australian governments fault as they're introducing a new tax on mining companies and this "forced" the company to search for alternatives in Africa - according to MP Wilson Tuckey. Tuckey always was an idiot, but this one takes the cake.

Mysterious? Is there some part of "visibility is bad, cross-winds are bad, wind shear is bad" that is beyond your comprehension?
The pilots were told not land, they attempted to land anyway because the pompous ass Polish president ordered the pilots to do so, and they all died.
There's nothing mysterious about it.
