I.) The Popol Vuh - the sacred word of the Maya-Quiché gives us a valuable window into the science of the ancient civilizations. For not only does it state that the earth is round - but it states it twice
1.) .. and they contemplated in turn the arch of heaven and the round face of the earth.
2.) .. and they examined the four corners, the four points of the arch of the sky and the round face of the earth.
II.) The Egyptian Sphinx is said to be aligned east - but that isn't so. It's spine is aligned 5 degrees north of east in alignment with the ancient equator that ran through Easter island, Nasca, Peru and Giza Egypt.
Only the Sphinx's reconstructed head and face align eastward

III.) And how about the Egyptian ghouls on 14 th Century UK monasteries and Romanesque churches

Isn't denial a form of thievery?

We are obsessed with the need to separate Church and State, Religion from Science, and Faith from Enterprise, telling ourselves that they are separate and discrete. But in the ancient world the blend of science and divinity was complete and the Cultural elements of each were inseparable one from the other.
It's in our refusal to accept this in our own culture, that we haven't the means to understand it in theirs.

That the ancient Egyptians had any presence or influence in the British isles or on the Continent in the mid centuries A.D., has been steadfastly denied. But the corbel ghouls put those denial claims to shame
The Biblical commandments had their origin with the ancient Egyptians in the form of the Negative Confessions which in turn originated with the Book of the Dead and the Pyramid Texts.

Here we see a ghoul carved on the facade of a Cathedral with its mouth open and its tongue sticking out - it originates from this phrase which is a statement of purity and means (to the parishioners who accept it) that they've done no wrong
Utterance 209 § 127 from the Pyramid Texts
My mouth is pure and pure indeed is the tongue which is in my mouth.

The science involved here derives from early knowledge that the earth was round that there existed a system of longitude, and that navigation was not only possible but could be carried out with accuracy

Wait wait... So because these Pyramid Texts mentioned a Mouth and a Tongue, every carving on earth that shows a Mouth and a Tongue had to have been Egyptian? That seems flawed.
Isn't it possible that other ancient cultures had discovered the elusive and mysterious "Human Mouth" ???
Also how is this in "Science" when it's clearly not?

This sounds a lot more like historical discussion than science. For now that's where it's getting moved.

CT - The corbel ghouls are pre-Dynastic Egyptian - they were part of the Cistercian Monks liturgy (and by association) with the Knights Templar
They were the representatives of an Egyptian religion that Henry VIII had to destroy as he separated England from Rome that he could form the Church of England under his rule. It was this Egyptian religion, practiced by the Cistercian Monks (and the Knights Templar) that led to the destruction of the monasteries c1537
