These poor hacks think that they are some special community of opened minded conspiracy theorist. When in fact they are neck high in classic subliminal and suggestive programming. There is no dissension or contrary opinion allowed here. Contrary belief to their subscribed Hive Mentality is met with verbally violent and classic NAZI type behavior. Members in this Forum are notorious for infiltration and web-sabotage of other sites. Many authors and independent investigators have had their work stolen and twisted by the ATS mind slaves.

Some members of ATS in the past have strongly criticised the site for overtly censoring the site though a large number of moderation staff who actively police the site to uphold the sites terms and conditions[8]. Users point out that although this may be necessary for the smooth running of the site, censorship can be perceived as being ironic for a site that is user generated. Also the notion of censorship is a prominent feature in conspiracy literature and this adds to the problems of ATS censorship. The censorship often takes the form of utilising a banhammer, deleting cp threads and posts or moving threads to another area of the site.

I was thinking before i came across this article about posting a warning about ATS because they are sending users out to unusual so called add servers whilst people are viewing the site and i'm not just talking about the usual double click servers and some of these servers are using private IP addresses.

Say anthing against the site and the mods post as members and you can even get posts in you own thread being replace by an off-topic notice so yes i say something is very wrong indeed with the site buts lets call it a conspriacy theory :)

I've been a member over there for 6+ years and I agree with you. It has gotten worse in that time also. It used to be less stringent but as the site became more popular (read more commercial and more profitable), the censorship and rules became the norm. It all boils down to money. The management will deny this, because they have always cried crocodile tears about how they break even and they hardly are getting rich off the site. This is complete nonsense, as you will note that Skeptic Overlord often posts about how high the site is ranking and the traffic. If it isn't about profitability and a return on the time and investment, these things would not matter and there would be no censorship and/or banning because it would truly reflect freedom of speech.

Keep in mind that getting malware from simply landing on a web page -- and taking no action such as clicking something -- is still such an exceptionally rare event as to be unlikely as the cause for something landing in your system. This is not true at all and the virus comes from the adverts served up by add servers directly to your machine so ATS does not know what adds are shown or who is using the space because the control has been past over to these servers and if they just want to target people using Firefox then they can.

We have a service that scans all of the ads for malware and so far we've had no reports. These things are incredibly difficult to find and remove, that's why we pay money for a service that scans the ads before they appear. Without knowing what ad, from which network it's almost impossible...

Yeah it's almost impossible as he says but few other sites have the number of probloms ATS has on this isue so you got to ask who is behind the site or are they just being silly and put advert revenue before anything else.

I would had joined the debate but like many others i have been banned for taking up the isue of deleted threads on ATS

Other threads on ATS about this problom often get deleted so see it before it gets removed.

I've been running through a manual check of all ads that would appear on ATS via an unprotected PC that allows pop-up windows, and have yet to discover anything that would involve a payload or false-scan pop-up via our ad networks.

As Mark mentioned, these types of nasties are typically received via an email payload (sometimes just viewing a preview of an infected email is all it takes), then site idle and randomly pops-up with web activity which can make it seem as though it's triggered by something on a web page.

SO it's quite simple your add servers are renting the space out and people are being directed to private IP addresses and we both know you have a full end to end log of this happening on the site and still talk as if you don't know whats going on.

I would love to go head to head with you over this but i'm banned remember for standing up to the mods and won't use the site anyway because it looks like a honney-pot to me because some of the private IP's don't seem to be doing anything apart from tracking peoples posts.

SkepticOverlord name your place where your mods are not pulling threads and deleting posts and lets have this out once and for all if you have the balls.

Heh. Until a few months ago, I was one of the "golden children" at ATS. I'd been a member for over 3 years, had a reputation, some influence with the administrators, et cetera.

Then the Anti-Defamation League issued their 2010 report on "violent, anti-government speech" in America, and ATS was cited two or three times for "violence-inciting speech"... It was myself and a couple of other ATS members who were specifically cited by the ADL.

Interesting, isn't it? The Anti-Defamation League is a Jewish organization founded as a watchdog for anti-semitic language in America. They don't want Jewish names appearing on blacklists, as was the circumstance back in 1930s Nazi Germany, right?

Yet, the ADL's 2010 report on "violent speech" is nothing less than a blacklist.

What was my horrible infraction that pissed off the ADL? What sort of Nazi-esque, anti-semitic propaganda did I post on Above Top Secret that got me blacklisted?

I believe it's on Page 7 of the ADL Report.

I accused the U.S. Congress of being "terrorist"... I accused the Legislative Branch of fear-mongering and terrorizing the American People.

That was it.

I did not single out Jews or blacks or Mexican illegal immigrants, I did not point the finger at ANY minority group. I simply called the U.S. Congress a gang of terrorists.

To THAT terrible utterance, the ADL took exception. For THAT "violence-inciting" remark, I was added to the ADL blacklist. They didn't cite my book, which published a couple of months later, but the book contained those remarks and more of same.

After the ADL citation in April, things started going downhill at Above Top Secret. I'm fairly certain that government watchdogs were all over the site and in contact with the administrators. I came under increasing fire from trolls (moles) and instigators. I was getting a couple of warnings a week, which I would debate with the administrators until they removed them (and they did).

Finally, in July, I was so pissed off and fed up with the situation that I published my book, which was a political diatribe lambasting the U.S. Congress and the current Executive administration, and touching on several other more-or-less related conspiratorial topics.

This allowed me to vent a lot of frustration, for sure, and several friends on ATS suggested that I openly promote the book — which I did.

ATS immediately banned me for this action, as it was a clear TOS violation.

I contacted the mods and the administrators, apologized, offered to buy legitimate advertising space, and the ban was rescinded... But they wouldn't allow me to even advertise LEGALLY.

At this point, sometime in August, I noticed the ATS mods becoming less and less tolerant of me, to the extent of refusing to even speak with me on innocuous subjects. They were disassociating themselves from me.

This is when I knew that ATS had been "taken over" by politically-correct NWO goons. Within weeks, the site completely changed its format, new intolerance policies were posted, and I was suddenly and rather unexpectedly banned (permanently) from ATS without explanation or warning.

My repeated email inquiries were rewarded with a terse missive from ATS site owner Bill Irvine:

"Take your childish vulgar crap elsewhere. Goodbye."

Bye, Bill, you fat-headed mouthpiece for anti-American propaganda. I hope your tiny dick falls off.

Anyway, the point of this narrative is that I NEVER CHANGED over 3 years... It was ATS that changed, it was ATS that suddenly became intolerant of true conspiracy theorists and its more "colorful" members.

But, hell, WE made the goddamned site fun in the first place.

The lesson out of all this is that the "Change" is upon you, boys and girls, the NWO intolerance for free speech (angry speech) is UPON YOU, and it's taking down your Constitutionally-granted right to speak without censorship.

Yes you do tend to get carried away however i find some of what you say to be interesting so would it be possible for you to post some of whats in your book on here.

Whats good about this site is people may not agree with what your saying but most will defend your right to say what you want and i'm anti gay and had a right good to do with a gay moderator but even he defended my right to say things as i see them.

Stuff posting in ATS forums where the mods are sending out more warnings/bans than threads on the site and if you looked back at all the big names on ATS then you might note that a hell of a lot have vanished.

Hitler initially targeted German Jews in the early 30s, claiming that Jews not only profited from but caused the collapse of the German economy following World War I... Many professional Jews were involved in recession-proof businesses (precious metal and jewelry trade, for example), and this seemed ample evidence (to a beerhall full of drunk Germans) that Jews were thriving as most other Germans were suffering economic hardship.

Accordingly, Hitler's minions made lists of Jewish individuals and businesses and marked them for persecution, outright terrorism and death. Over time, the Third Reich became infamous for assembling lists of Jews and other undesirables for political persecution.

To this day, the expression "Your papers, please" summons up fearsome images of armed thugs comparing personal identification papers to Gestapo lists of undesirables.

Fast-forward 70 years...

The modern Anti-Defamation League has been the foremost watchdog for the reemergence of fascist, Nazi-esque trends in democratic society. The ADL's stated mission is "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all."

You would think the ADL, of all organizations, would realize that they themselves are exhibiting Nazi-esque characteristics in assembling LISTS of "threatening speech" and undesirable individuals across the Internet.

Particularly when certain of those undesirable individuals (myself, for example) have posed no threats, spoken or otherwise, to society.

Over the years, I have repeatedly called for the American People to stage a revolution, preferably via legal elections, to remove the corruption and terrorism deeply embedded in American central government.

Yes, while on ATS, I called the U.S. Congress a gang of fear-mongering terrorists, which they certainly are. The ADL took this, for some reason, as a threat, and they included my remarks in their LIST of undesirable speech and individuals.

Now, why do you think the ADL would object to rooting out fear-mongers and terrorists from our central government? Why would they perceive this as a threat?

I thought very seriously of suing the goddamned ADL after they cited my activity on Above Top Secret, when my activity there posed no direct threat to anyone. Instead, I published a book detailing my views (which are largely patriotic) and citing many instances of fear-mongering and true aggression on the part of the U.S. government against its citizenry.

In retrospect, I should have sued the fucking ADL... The publicity would have helped book sales immensely.

But my main point is, the ADL is no better in compiling its list of undesirables than the filthy Nazis were, which is in direct contradiction to the ADL mission statement.
