Is there any hope at all guys and gals? If there is life out there where do you think we stand in the eyes of the outsiders...Would it be a pleasure to see us kill each other off just because we are a burden to the rest of the universe? Do you think they won't let themselves be known just because we aren't ready? And if we really started to have a big massacre happen.....would they intervene and try to lead us towards a different path?

Comments appreciated....Thanks...

If you stumbled upon a bunch of cockroaches killing each other off, would you intervene to lead them towards a different path ?

I hope you're talking about some late 70's - early 80's US soap opera? I think everyone should be saved from this type of TV viewing. :dunno:

Maybe there just pulling a South Park on us and making us one big Intergalatic T.V. show.

but in reality I don't really think theres intelligent life out there, I do believe theres life on other planets but more like baterica and single cell organism hell maybe even fish but when you think about Earth theres only 1 truly intelligent species think about it out of the 6 billion species on our planet how many know what the internet is?

I am sure there are other intelligent lifeforms out there. Or have been at times. The universe is 13+ billion years old, and has had an estimated 1trillion-trillion+ stars in its lifetime. That is a lot of possibilities for intelligent life.

How the hell would anybody know the age of the universe?

This has always baffled me when some scientist who I don't know tells the world that the universe 13+ billion years old how do they know this? Where they here 13 billion years ago? I don't think so, because there not in the Genus book of old farts.

Even the writings on the Egyptian Pyramids, what one deciphers one day has a good chance of being interpreted differently a few years later even the age of said pyramid has been known to change.

The only way to know for sure is if you could travel backwards through time since that can’t be done yet and most likely will never happen know one will every truly know…

Well it is at least 13 billion years old. Light from galaxies 13 billion light years away has been discovered.

Well, we know the speed of light and how long it would take light to travel a certain distance. So scientists do the math and come up with a number. Once they can see back to the first second (which is not that far away), they wil know the age of this universe. As for your book of "old farts"
