General opinion on Greatest Hits and Best Of compilations.

I think a greatest hits album is a good way to introduce someone to a band or to complete a collection. There have been some so/so collections and some decent ones.

What is your favorite and least favorite?

I'm not a fan of them. I prefer the original cd's/lp's. They serve a purpose, but the original work's songs are 'crafted' to secede/precede each-other in the spirit of the initial recording-sessions.
