The apocalypse is now and all christians were "left behind".

Myth is myth. Here's a bit of wisdom: to believe myth to be real then acting on it might be a bit dangerous. To believe that biblical revelations is reality, is to create that reality.

Fundamentalist christians are literally doing just that right now. Some call them the "armageddon lobby". They are the politically active evangelical christians courting antichrist bush, trying to create conditions in the middle east that will lead to the rapture and second coming. They have triggered the armaggeddon countdown sequence. The apocalypse is now, events in Iraq are proof. But unfortunately no mythical rapture occurred. All christians were "left behind".

By trying to create armageddon, those actions lead to the opening of Pandora's Box. Christians are going to experience the "tribulation" along with everyone else. From the aspect of karma they have to since it is what they have created, they are actors in their play.

The apocalypse is now and all christians were left behind.

Myth cant be totally dismissed, it was usually a way for people to pass on important historical events to thoses who could not read or write. Ok, So they where told in an entertaining way to keep peoples attention and as we move further away from the actual date and our mindfuk invention of TV helping blur the lines between reality and fiction, it is ok for people to get confused. Bush is using religion as a another of his tools, if he really believes he was sent by God to save us... i think we can just ignore him, the sheeple who follow him might as well commit suicide and wait for the spaceships to arrive.!

I think that the followers of bush are committing collective suicide.

christians are aiding and abetting bush, the evangelical right blindly supports bush because they believe him to be a good christian man, what could be farther from the truth than that? the media potrays bush with a halo , do a google image search "bush halo" or "bush christ" or "bush god" to see images that associate bush with divinity.

what a joke...the bush antichrist beast forces have illegallly and immorally invaded Iraq for oil, committing daily horrific warcrime atrocities and the media potrays him as holy, a man of god.

have you ever heard that "evil is dumb"? Well GW Bush is dumb and evil. Bush believes that god told him to make war quote: "God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, ..."

normally, people who hear voices are consider nutcases

I like the NIN lyrics: "bow down before the one you serve.
you're going to get what you deserve." Christians are bowing to Bush and he's going to round them up and send them to their deaths in middle east oil fields.

U.S. Navy Captain Ouimette is the Executive Officer at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida . Here is a copy of the speech he gave last month. It is an accurate account of why we are in so much trouble today and why this action is so necessary.

AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP!

That's what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 (When more than 3,000 Americans were killed) and maybe it was, but I think it should have been "Get Out of Bed!" In fact, I think the alarm clock has been buzzing since 1979 and we have continued to hit the snooze button and roll over for a few more minutes of peaceful sleep since then.

It was a cool fall day in November 1979 in a country going through a religious and political upheaval when a group of Iranian students attacked and seized the American Embassy in Tehran . This seizure was an outright attack on American soil; it was an attack that held the world's most powerful country hostage and paralyzed a Presidency. The attack on this sovereign U. S. embassy set the stage for events to follow for the next 23 years.

America was still reeling from the aftermath of the Vietnam experience and had a serious threat from the Soviet Union when then, President Carter, had to do something. He chose to conduct a clandestine raid in the desert. The ill-fated mission ended in ruin, but stood as a symbol of America's inability to deal with terrorism.

America 's military had been decimated and downsized/right sized since the end of the Vietnam War. A poorly trained, poorly equipped and poorly organized military was called on to execute a complex mission that was doomed from the start.

Shortly after the Tehran experience, Americans began to be kidnapped and killed throughout the Middle East. America could do little to protect her citizens living and working abroad. The attacks against US soil continued.

In April of 1983 a large vehicle packed with high explosives was driven into the US Embassy compound in Beirut. When it explodes, it kills 63 people.

The alarm went off again and America hit the Snooze Button once more.

Then just six short months later a large truck heavily laden down with over 2500 pounds of TNT smashed through the main gate of the US Marine Corps headquarters in Beirut and 241 US servicemen are killed. America mourns her dead and hit the Snooze Button once more.

Two months later in December 1983, another truck loaded with explosives is driven into the US Embassy in Kuwait, and America continues her slumber.

The following year, in September 1984, another van was driven into the gate of the US Embassy in Beirut and America slept.

Soon the terrorism spreads to Europe. In April 1985 a bomb explodes in a restaurant frequented by US soldiers in Madrid. >

Then in August a Volkswagen loaded with explosives is driven into the main gate of the US Air Force Base at Rhein-Main, 22 are killed and the snooze alarm is buzzing louder and louder as US interests are continually attacked.

Fifty-nine days later a cruise ship, the Achille Lauro is hijacked and we watched as an American in a wheelchair is singled out of the passenger list and executed.

The terrorists then shift their tactics to bombing civilian airliners when they bomb TWA Flight 840 in April of 1986 that killed 4 and the most tragic bombing, Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988, killing 259.

Clinton treated these terrorist acts as crimes; in fact we are still trying to bring these people to trial. These are acts of war.

The wake up alarm is getting louder and louder.

The terrorists decide to bring the fight to America. In January 1993, two CIA agents are shot and killed as they enter CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

The following month, February 1993, a group of terrorists are arrested after a rented van packed with explosives is driven into the underground parking garage of the World Trade Center in New York City. Six people are killed and over 1000 are injured. Still this is a crime and not an act of war?

The Snooze alarm is depressed again.

Then in November 1995 a car bomb explodes at a US military complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia killing seven service men and women.

A few months later in June of 1996, another truck bomb explodes only 35 yards from the US military compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It

destroys the Khobar Towers, a US Air Force barracks, killing 19 and injuring over 500. The terrorists are getting braver and smarter as they see that America does not respond decisively.

They move to coordinate their attacks in a simultaneous attack on two US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. These attacks were planned with precision.

They kill 224. America responds with cruise missile attacks and goes back to sleep.

The USS Cole was docked in the port of Aden, Yemen for refueling on 12 October 2000, when a small craft pulled along side the ship and exploded killing 17 US Navy Sailors. Attacking a US War Ship is an act of war, but we sent the FBI to investigate the crime and went back to sleep.

And of course you know the events of 11 September 2001. Most Americans think this was the first attack against US soil or in America. How wrong they are. America has been under a constant attack since 1979 and we chose to hit the snooze alarm and roll over and go back to sleep.

In the news lately we have seen lots of finger pointing from every high officials in government over what they knew and what they didn't know. But if you've read the papers and paid a little attention I think you can see exactly what they knew. You don't have to be in the FBI or CIA or on the National Security Council to see the pattern that has been developing since 1979.

The President is right on when he says we are engaged in a war. I think we have been in a war for the past 23 years and it will continue until we as a people decide enough is enough.

America needs to "Get out of Bed" and act decisively now. America has been changed forever. We have to be ready to pay the price and make the sacrifice to ensure our way of life continues. We cannot afford to keep hitting the snooze button again and again and roll over and go back to sleep.

After the attack on Pearl Harbor , Admiral Yamamoto said "...it seems all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant." This is the message we need to disseminate to terrorists around the world.

This is not a political thing to be hashed over in an election year this is an AMERICAN thing. This is about our Freedom and the Freedom of our children in years to come.

It’s time to wake up !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

For those that don't support the war against Iraq... what exactly will it take (in your opinion) for the U.S. to get involved in trying to confront and eliminate these terrorists, in light of the above information?????? If you think Saddam and his regime didn't support Al Queda, you're kidding yourself!!!

Bush is not in Iraq for political support (because the Iraq issue hurts him) or to get oil.... he's got our military there to eliminate a foothold on terror in the world... to save future American lives by eliminating a clear and present danger to the U.S.. Unfortunately, it takes lives to save lives.

>It is an accurate account of why we are in so much trouble today and why this action is so necessary.

i disagree. I see it more as 'spin' and POV, to support the war and the W agenda. Here's why....

>It was a cool fall day in November 1979 in a country going through a religious
>and political upheaval when a group of Iranian students attacked
>and seized the American Embassy in Tehran

from what i remember, it was a result of the U.S., supporting a gov't that the Iranian people did not support. IMO, the Zoroastrian students took it upon themselves to affect change. Akin to the Chinese students who stood up to their Communist gov't and were beaten by tanks. If we had tanks in Iran, that prolly wouldn't have happened.

>America was still reeling from the aftermath of the Vietnam experience
>and had a serious threat from the Soviet Union when then,
>President Carter, had to do something.

more like, a small group of the population who opposed the war, succeeded in convincing the politicians from feeding the military industrial companies, that Eisenhower had warned about. We had arguably the best military in the world at the time. What we lacked in quantity, we had quality. From nuclear missiles to carriers, from napalm to the M-16. Did the North Vietnamese have any F-4 Phantoms?

>Americans began to be kidnapped and killed throughout the Middle East.

Americans are also kidnapped in killed in the U.S. Are we any safer around the world? Should we annex countries in order to police them better?

>The ill-fated mission ended in ruin,
>but stood as a symbol of America's inability to deal with terrorism.

it was part of the October Surprise. who was once a director of the CIA and what was his involvement? was it meant to fail in order to usher in a change in leadership?

>America mourns her dead and hit the Snooze Button once more.

we should be wondering why we have troops stationed around the world. We understand why they are in parts of Europe and Japan post-WWII. What business do we have in the ME and Africa, that require our presence? Corporate?

>we watched as an American in a wheelchair is singled out of the passenger list and executed.

and we caught the culprit and let him go. and witnesses to the scene stated that the person in the wheelchair was belligerent and catalyzed his demise. in a sense, singled himself out.

>The following month, February 1993, a group of terrorists are arrested ...
>...garage of the World Trade Center in New York City. ...
> Still this is a crime and not an act of war?

does state sponsored terrorism count as an act of war? to citizens of the state?
didn't the FBI provide the funding and the bomb for WTC 93? Or was that reported court finding false?

>A few months later in June of 1996, another truck bomb explodes ...
>destroys the Khobar Towers, a US Air Force barracks, killing 19 and injuring over 500.
>The terrorists are getting braver and smarter as they see that America does not respond decisively.

the terrorists are saying get out of our country and to stop supporting a government that oppresses its people.
maybe we don't respond because some of our politicians know this? unless of course, it is our manifest destiny to rule the world and anyone that attacks our outposts should be eliminated.[/sarcasm]

>In the news lately we have seen lots of finger pointing from every high officials in government
>over what they knew and what they didn't know.

of course they knew. some more than others. but you can't go to war in Afghanistan and Iraq without just cause. why prevent it? let it happen and we can do so. for military spending increases, for the Patriot acts, for personal gain at the cost of the non-elites.

>But if you've read the papers and paid a little attention I think you can see exactly what they knew.

which is why I think the guy is full of BS. we all know our media is biased, that conspiracies don't exist in the U.S. and you have to be a nutcase to think so.

>For those that don't support the war against Iraq...

education. transparency of government. you can't fight an idea with brute force. terrorists exist because they disagree with what we're doing that effects their lives. [conjecture] If Russian operatives were responsible for our civil unrest, exportation of resources, and malevolent political agenda due to their influence with our country, wouldn't you want to do something about it? What do you think terrorists are doing?

Do you really believe our actions in Iraq will diminish acts of terror towards us? By bringing the fight to them? If you were them, what would you do? How would you fight an adversary who was more technologically advanced, better funded, more disciplined, etc.? Would you last very long?
