I am more of a mental religious type of person. I don't practice a religion only try to live and let live to the best of my ability. Any sudjustions from anyone? I understand that man can not be saved by his rightiousness, but by Jesus only.

I think man can be saved by righteousness and by leading a wholesome life. Doing the right thing by others no matter who they are, being kind to all living beings and compassionate towards the needy and those suffering while not being greedy and envious or hateful. These fine qualities, regardless of personal belief or non belief in a man, religion or spiritual path is our saving grace. For every good act done out of kindness or love people will reap a reward and in similiar kind.
I think its very selfish of people to think that one man will save them. Its hypocritical to lump all your own sins or misdeeds on one person and then expect them to save you! People have to take responsibility for their own actions, words and thoughts!
Whats the old adage? Sin all day everyday, go to church on Sunday to be forgiven of your sins and then sin again all day everyday till the following Sunday? Get Real. We need to save ourselves while at the same time respecting the great teachers who came to help show us the way.
It is a well known fact that all religions have been barstardized and twisted over the centuries in order to benefit those in control of the religious institutions. Believing that one man will take on all our sins and suffer for our stupidity is deluded thinking. Dont get me wrong. I think Jesus was a great spiritual master and I respect what he said and did to help others, but I cannot get my head around the concept of him taking on our iniquities or sins.
"What we did in the past creates our present. What we do in the present creates our future. We are responsible for our own salvation".

You are as beautiful, as beauty..with all do respect and no disrespect. I agree with you 95% because as for jesus I truly don`t know. And what I mean is this:To the understanding of life that I have gathered through my short life, I feel I have learned something very valuable. This is something that I`m sure you and others already know. That is that within us humans there lives an invisible magical force we call our soul and it is so magical that one cant see nor touch yet we feel or should I say...Experience...it`s existence every millisecond of life.
So when I think of this, I simply feel that anything and everything is possible. Jesus could have done all the things that are claimed in the good book. But again, I truly don`t know. But that is where Faith takes over or should take over. I try very hard to live with an open mind so that I truly live life and not see it pass me by.I try to always remain conscious as well so that I can wake up to my hopes and dreams and not remain asleep. All of this helps me to appreciate life, mine and others.
Thank you.

I understand that man can not be saved by his rightiousness, but by Jesus only.
That's because righteousness is free, Jesus costs money.

From John Chapter 14:
5Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know[1] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

I believe that if you die with good karma hands will be open when you pass....
Bad karma.....you will regret....
My Uncle always said to do at least two good things each day to help balance anything out

What exactly am I being saved from? And who says it's saving? It's all a matter of perspective.
I'd rather die and become nothing than serve an eternal life of bowing down to some creator...

Being "saved" doesnt apply to my belief system. I dont torture myself over such things as a middle man to get to the Summerlands. I dont have to pay money, or deprive myself of things that I enjoy, I live my life well and good. I dont believe in an elitist religion where whom ever pays the most money gets to heaven, or bowing to someones demands in this life to serve in the next.
