some pretty good info from both sides of the argument there. My conclusion is that we just don't know when it is going to happen. Its like yellowstone. It could erupt tommorrow, it could erupt in 100,000 years. Space is massive, and we may never hit anything. (For all you who over react, i said we may hit nothing)

My thoughts exactly. Funny though, that asteroid impact - such a popular item on these forums, discussed in a few really interesting and readable articles arouses no interest whatsoever, judging by the viewcount... :btchn:
