Question about laughing

Hey, got a question. Is it possible to laugh so much that u actually die? U can die because u r very scared, then can u die because u laugh too much?

Eh, I wouldn't think so, because if you started to laugh so hard you couldn't breathe, it would cause you to start to panic, and that would stop making whatever it was you were laughing at in the first place funny, and you would stop laughing...it's just a guess though (I don't know much about laughing).

You can probably just laugh until you pass out.....

I always thought the 'scared to death' thing was an urban legend too....

Once, many many many years ago (of course).., I was at a party and under the influence of a minute (yes really!!) quantity of fermented Afghan hashish (it could not have been more than my 5th reefer)...

Someone said something (I believe it was the word "car" or "coffin" or something similarly hilarious...) and I laughed and laughed, and screamed with laughter. After 6 minutes of uncontrollable laughter, my belly hurt so terrible, the agony was worse than the degree of funnyness of the initial joke. I stopped laughing. It gave me a sore throat and an extremely dry mouth, but that's about it.

Nope, you won't die laughing.

While recording our first album with our band the vocalist Tony and I wasted nearly a full days recording because we had a fit of giggles. The ones where the belly hurts too bad. They had to keep us in seperate rooms for the rest of the album because we couldn't even look at each other without cracking up.

I can't remember what the initial spark was but we did finally finish the album and although our manager nearly finished us off, the laughing fit didn't.

I dont think you can cause once you start losing breathe you stop laughing little by little

A mate and I were going through the drive through at Macca's one day, something was said moments before we had to make our order, needless to say, for what felt like a couple of minutes we laughed pretty hard :) (yes, under influence of that nasty weed) ... After all that, the only word we uttered was "sausage" ... and continued to drive through with staff watching us with a somewhat strange bemusement.

I nearly died from embarrassment, does that count ? :crazy: :grin :Llol:

Ok, i read this while looking it up on another site. Someone posted(so it may not be 100% true) that a 50 year old bricklayer did actually laugh to death when he was watching his favorite television show. Lack of information on the web about this. All the other sites were laughing at death. :(
