Why can't I delete or post attachments? Conspiracy?

While not a mod or Admin here I can quote from the site Support AO found HERE (http://forums.armageddononline.org/donate.php?)


Can Edit/Delete Own Posts - Regular users can no longer go back and edit, change, modify, or delete their own posts within the forums. Contributors are able to do all of them.

I believe it is the intent of the owners here to encourage donations to the site by allowing certainin privileges only to those who donate. Having run my own board once, I can tell you for a fact that it is very expensive, both money and time wise.

If you wish to enjoy a fuller participation on this site I suggest you donate

Mods/Admins hope I didn't get out of line here or step on toes. If so please let me know.

. . .Rapture, the problem we had was that he had certain individuals who had posted objectionable imagery, and as well had posted messages that were equally as bad in that they were that and worse, either heaping abuse on another member (or) something else that was against the rules and regulations in the MOC. (On occasion, we've even had instances whereas an individual would GO BACK and re-post something objectionable that we had deleted, which is wholly unacceptable.
. . .The thinking here is that a member who cares enough to be a contributor by way of either posting an article that we accept in our 'articles contest' for "Forum use" (or) submitting a donation for the up-keep of the forum, would probably show more responsibility in that which they would post. Hope that explanation helps!
