Well this conflict could possibly be the spark that the muslims are waiting for...
In the 1970s egypt, sirya and lebanon all attacked isreal...
could this happen agian.... ya i think it could.... i come to this conclusion useing the same basic logic that many philosiphers used after WW1
if it happend once it could happen again...
Myself im still suprized at how little affect Arafats death has had on palisineins
... one thing i heard that got me really thinking... is ... why did arafat REFUSE to appoint a sucsesser...
well
eather he has too much pride in himself... or he knew the consiqences and reprecautions of his death... he knew it would cause a power vacume...
the millitia groups are obviously going to some how sway the power towards them...
the palisistine army is these militia groups...
and hopefuly sharon dosent overreact to any of the comming violence that is brewing....
cuz if he dose hes just asking for a reoccurence of what happend in the 70s
it is only inevitable for the Arab/muslim nations to all band together...
the more we fight them the more we push them closer and closer together ...
they are soon going to see this as persicution...
and use that against the jews and the USA

Myself im still suprized at how little affect Arafats death has had on palisineins You're not serious. Mahmoud Abbas, who is widely viewed as a moderate, will probably be elected as Yasser Arafat's successor. Arafat was not serious in trying to broker a peace deal with Israel, and was more concerned with amassing personal wealth and power. Abbas will most likely put the Palestinian people's needs ahead of his greed.

the palisistine army is these militia groups...and hopefuly sharon dosent overreact to any of the comming violence that is brewing....There is no Palestinian army but fractured cells. Hamas, a group sworn to Israel's destruction, has just won 7 council seats; while Fatah (Abbas' group) has won 11 council seats. This council election has kept Fatah as number one Palestinian party but Hamas is now an officially recognized (a group sworn to Israel's destruction) 2nd party with a voice. I believe that Abbas will not be able to get anything positive done until Hamas is declared illegal by Fatah, and Hamas is disbanded and/or terminated as a party. This, of course, is going to result in civil discourse among The Palestinian people. How can they make peace with Israel when they are divided amongst themselves? I don't see it. :nono:

In fairness - and be cause I'm a blatant anti-semite (har-har) look at his political opponent - Ariel Sharon... who has the US doing their work for them. There are ( http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/archives/cat_israeli_spying.html ) / were Israeli spies in the upper levels of the US Government, even in the pentagon...and they are all the while pumping in false info and distorting the Middle East policy. Israel is also the #1 receiver of US support - that's mine and your tax dollars brokering the shit.

Israel has been targeted by at least 65 UN resolutions and the Palestinians have been targeted by none.
989 Israelis and 3,490 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000.
6,709 Israelis and 28,287 Palestinians have been injured since September 29, 2000.
117 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians and 652 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000.

Little Lopsided ain't it? Don't beleive me? http://www.ifamericansknew.org/about_us/ ( It is our belief that when Americans know the facts on a subject, they will, in the final analysis, act in accordance with morality, justice, and the best interests of their nation, and of the world. With insufficient information, or distorted information, they may do the precise opposite.

It is the mission of If Americans Knew to ensure that this does not happen - that the information on which Americans base their actions is complete, accurate, and undistorted by conscious or unconscious bias, by lies of either commission or omission, or by pressures exerted by powerful special interest groups. It is our goal to supply the information essential to those responsible for the actions of the strongest nation on earth - the American people)

They are fact checkers and statistic keepers - ragardless of how you feel - look a the numbers, thats all I ask.

That also might be a reason (in the arab world) for hatred towards the US - and put a broader statemrent when I say "they DONT hate our freedoms" (terrorists) , they HATE the way they are treated - and it's all driven by our middle east policy.

I hear what you're saying MM. I went to the ME with pretty much an open mind. I came back hating their culture, and their backward religion.
Israel has been targeted by at least 65 UN resolutions and the Palestinians have been targeted by none. This means nothing to me cause The UN is useless and impotent. Oh, and corrupt also!
989 Israelis and 3,490 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000. This happens when you're out gunned!
6,709 Israelis and 28,287 Palestinians have been injured since September 29, 2000. Again, this happens when you're out gunned!
117 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians and 652 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000. When children are taught to hate and kill, this happens. This also happens when stupid ass parents let their kids throw rocks at tanks and soldiers.
That also might be a reason (in the arab world) for hatred towards the US - and put a broader statemrent when I say "they DONT hate our freedoms" (terrorists) , they HATE the way they are treated - and it's all driven by our middle east policy. They had nothing until the West discovered oil in their lands. Nomadic tribesmen with a warring mentality. I neither pity nor have empathy towards them. I met a Saudi Soldier that killed his sister for wearing jeans in public. Fuq 'em...all of 'em! Nah, on second thought. Give them a chance to convert to Christianity, if they refuse then fuq 'em! :headbang:

America will never, NEVER, withdraw their support from Israel. Why? Because somewhere in the bible it says a mighty nation that turns away from Israel will be destroyed. Americans are just as psychotically fundamentalist as any Muslim (being an American, i'm probably on some terrorist watchlist for saying that). If we didn't support them, they could never get away with the shit they do. I can't blame the palestinians either, because they're as viscious and bloodthirsty as the Israelies, so this will go on until somebody gets sick of it and bombs the whole damn middle east into a big glass crater. Would the world be any worse off without it?

How many American civilians do you find going to the Middle East, strapping bombs to their chests, targeting and blowing up innocent bystanders, including themselves? How many US government owned and run channels overtly teach our children to hate middle easterners and tell them to strap bombs to their chests and cross the border and blow them up?

your right for now...
but scince this is evolving into religious war...
i could see christian fundimentalists blowing up mosques here...
in america or canada...
ive actualy thought of doing that myslef...
it certianly would inflame the muslims here... it would cause them to fell really unsafe...
and then they will probably start bombing chruches...
and so the vicsious cycle begins...

Thousands of times less than the number of deaths caused by Islamist jihadists. And certainly not enough for Americans to qualify as "just a psychotically fundamentialist as any muslim." Well, maybe "any" if you take it literally and assume it could be the least fundamentalist muslim, but not if you take it in the context he was talking about.

If you don't notice how fumdmentalist America is you've never been to the bible belt or even watched a political speech. Remember when Bush said that atheists don't deserve to be American citizens? I live in the bible belt and we were preached to almost every single day in school. I almost got expelled when a teacher was bitching me out for not being christian and then asked me for my views on something. I shouldn't have stood in front of the class and said "my view is you should shut the fuck up bitch, PRAISE HAIL SATAN", but still.

And you think that any of that is equivalent to beheading you for your lack of beleif?

If you think American Christians are as psychotic as Islamist Jihadists then you haven't been watching the news or paying attention to world events.

Like there are alot of americans that join the army haveing religious beliefs...
ive heard some of them say things like... Im going to Iraq to fight pure evil...

The burlesque oppugnants must be away worshipping dead Jews on a stick.
Ah well. :band:
Let's rock and roll.
Survey:
You are an average American who does not like the Muslim muezzin calling out the adhan from the minaret next door on the loudspeaker five frickin' times a day.
You also cannot stand the born again Catholics who are ringing their frickin' church bells every morning on the other side.
And in the back, there are those Jews who are opening their stupid synagogue windows and chanting gibberish every morning at 7 AM.
And those Hindus in front of you, with their statues and stinking incense and rotting fruit.
Now....
Who do you think is most likely to cut your head off, cut your genitals off; stuff them in your mouth and mail them to your mother when you complain?

No, Christian fundies are not like their Muslim counterparts.
The Muslims will kill you. And your little dog too.
Just because you are not them.
No other reason.

However, there is hope.
Arab culture has a fine tradition of submission to those that defeat them totally and utterly, those who eradicate their tyrannical leader and establish a new system of governance.
They roll over and begin a new rennaisance in Islamic history.
What an idea :2thumbs:

I havent posted here in a long time, but I find this topic very interesting....

I want to make my answer as short as possible, and I could care less if I get flamed for it.

If there ever was a peace accord, it would just be a smoke shield.....

The ultimate problem is religion.....and I know you all know this as fact....

The only way that this conflict would ever be done and over with is when one or the other is dead....

Problem is......this conflict will ultimately have to involve all major countries in the world, therefore, wiping out civilization itself.....of course people will survive....and hopefully then, those who do will understand what a big mistake it was in the first place......and then, maybe then like Rodney King said "Can't we all just get along??"

Me peace is said....

Thank You.......
