During surprise Christmas Eve trip, defense secretary contradicts official story

WASHINGTON – Ever since Sept. 11, 2001, there have been questions about Flight 93, the ill-fated plane that crashed in the rural fields of Pennsylvania.

The official story has been that passengers on the United Airlines flight rushed the hijackers in an effort to prevent them from crashing the plane into a strategic target – possibly the U.S. Capitol.

During his surprise Christmas Eve trip to Iraq, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld referred to the flight being shot down – long a suspicion because of the danger the flight posed to Washington landmarks and population centers.

Was it a slip of the tongue? Was it an error? Or was it the truth, finally being dropped on the public more than three years after the tragedy of the terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000?

Cool Matt. Didn't see that you'd already posted that..Yeah, it's being downplayed, but it sounds like a Freudian slip of the tongue. And if Flight 93 was shot down, then there is no telling how reality is different from the "official" story of 911. (The Pentagon Video comes to mind..)

They still have not said for sure if it was shot down or crashed "on its own", so either is a plausable saying.

I must say, I cannot understand the conspiracy issue on the 9/11 facts...I just see the video of planes fliying into building but yet somehow there are endless sites and essays with 1000s of words about how the planes had missles...it's incredible, and unreal to think that the Govt would have done it. I truly mean that, this coming from someone who falls into the conspiracy issue a lot...

I've never followed the "pod" theory of the WTC planes, but it's pretty easy to see that there is something not right going on with the Pentagon footage and wreckage.
As for the Pennsylvania flight, the point is, the official word they gave was that passengers took the plane down. Even in light of many eye witness accounts that the wing of the plane was smoking and on fire before it hit the ground. I don't know why people like Stewey enjoy being lied to, and enjoy living in a world that holds no questions and believes every "official" story that the government puts out..Where the US government are the good guys of the world and only lie to us because they have to and "we can't handle the truth". And the never ending patronizing attitude of "take off your tin foil hats."

I suppose that all families of the victims of 911 who are crying foul on the governments part should just take off their tin foil hats and shut up as well..?

Why is Rummy even talking about Missles when there were supposedly no missles fired on 911? The evil of these people, Bush,Rummy, and Cheney, practically permeates from their pores and auras, yet so many people keep defending these sick puppets of the NWO cult...Jesus! Look at the overwhelming evidence of a coverup! Haliburton, Carlyle, these people made billions off of 911. Why were people dropping stocks and buying stocks in homeland security months before this happened..

Even if it was shot down, it was headed to do a lot more damage. I see no harm if it was shot down by military jets as opposed to the passengers forcing it down on their own. Either way, more lives were saved by it crashing in a field than it hitting (presumably) the white house.

It isn't like i invented these "crackpot conspiracy theories". There are millions of Americans, and world citizens, who believe that there is a massive government lie going on surrounding 911. You'de kinda have to have your head deep up your own anus not to see any of it..

The point is, if the plane was shot down, then you TELL THE F*CKING TRUTH about it..Don't keep covering up lies with more lies and more lies..Hey sure, if the government shot the plane down, then maybe they would have needed to do it. Governments have been using fake terror since the beginning of politics - all of them had the same goal... get their agenda through. Is it really that hard to grasp? Taking a trick that countless others have used to rally support?

Keeping people in fear is really the trick - scaring them into thinking they have no other choice but to do what's in "their best interest". How to defeat terrorism? Don't be terrorized. Don't let fear rule your life. Even if you are scared.
