Also, it wasn't global warming. It wasn't a biblical prophecy...Nothing.

The funniest (sadly) thing I heard all day was someone randomly saying to another person in an elevator, and I quote, "You know, the Bible says an asteroid will hit the ocean and flood the world."

HAARP stands for High Frequency Active Aural Research Project, at joint effort of the Air Force and the navy at an isolated base near Gakona, Alaska.

It uses 72 foot tall antennas---360 of them---spread out over 4 acres.

HAARP zaps the upper atmosphere with a focused and steerable electromagnetic beam. It is an advanced model of an 'ionospheric heater'. (The ionosphere is the electrically-charged sphere surrounding Earth's upper atmosphere. It ranges between about 40 to 600 miles above Earth's surface.)

Put simply, the apparatus for HAARP is a reversal of a radio telescope: antennas send out signals instead of receiving. HAARP is the test run for a super-powerful radio wave beaming technology that lifts areas of the ionosphere by focusing a beam and heating those areas. Electromagnetic waves then bounce back onto Earth and penetrate everything-living and dead.

HAARP publicity gives the impression that the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program is mainly an academic project with the goal of changing the ionosphere to improve communications for our own good. However, other US military documents put it more clearly: HAARP aims to learn how to "exploit the ionosphere for Department of Defense purposes". Communicating with submarines is only one of those purposes.

Press releases and other information from the military on HAARP continually downplay what it could do. Publicity documents insist that the HAARP project is no different than other ionospheric heaters operating safely throughout the world in places such as Arecibo, Puerto Rico; Tromsш, Norway; and the former Soviet Union. However, a 1990 government document indicates that the radio frequency (RF) power zap will drive the ionosphere to unnatural activities:

"...at the highest HF powers available in the West, the instabilities commonly studied are approaching their maximum RF energy dissipative capability, beyond which the plasma processes will 'run away' until the next limiting factor is reached."

If the military, in cooperation with the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, can show that this new ground-based "Star Wars" technology is sound, they both win. The military has a relatively inexpensive defence shield and the university can brag about the most dramatic geophysical manipulation since atmospheric explosions of nuclear bombs. After successful testing, they would have the military megaprojects of the future and huge markets for Alaska's North Slope natural gas.

Looking at the other patents which built on the work of a Texas physicist named Bernard Eastlund, it becomes clearer how the military intends to use the HAARP transmitter. It also makes governmental denials less believable. The military knows how it intends to use this technology, and has made it clear in their documents. The military has deliberately misled the public through sophisticated word games, deceit and outright disinformation.

The military says the HAARP system could:

* give the military a tool to replace the electromagnetic pulse effect of atmospheric thermonuclear devices (still considered a viable option by the military through at least 1986);

* replace the huge Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) submarine communication system operating in Michigan and Wisconsin with a new and more compact technology;

* be used to replace the over-the-horizon radar system that was once planned for the current location of HAARP, with a more flexible and accurate system;

* provide a way to wipe out communications over an extremely large area, while keeping the military's own communications systems working;

* provide a wide-area Earth-penetrating tomography which, if combined with the computing abilities of EMASS and Cray computers, would make it possible to verify many parts of nuclear nonproliferation and peace agreements;

* be a tool for geophysical probing to find oil, gas and mineral deposits over a large area;

* be used to detect incoming low-level planes and cruise missiles, making other technologies obsolete.

The above abilities seem like a good idea to all who believe in sound national defence and to those concerned about cost-cutting. However, the possible uses which the HAARP records do not explain, and which can only be found in US Air Force, Army, Navy and other federal agency records, are alarming. Moreover, effects from the reckless use of these power levels in our natural shield-the ionosphere-could be cataclysmic, according to some scientists.

In a recent correspondence with Dr. Bernard Eastlund (see below), it appears that ground based weather control via electromagnetic means have been surpassed by the newer technology of Solar Power Satellite based systems which have been designed for a power output of 1000 Megawatts. I think we can all see where this is going.
HAARP, as we have stated, does not appear to possess the ability to alter the weather over disparate geographic locations, and has only a minute ability to do anything locally - but the new satellite systems certainly would solve that problem. With a fleet of these satellites, it could be conceivable that the weather over any geographic location could be modified at will - provided the system actually works. Borderlands published a book related to this in 1995 called Secrets of Cold War Technology: Project HAARP and Beyond.
Borderland Sciences has over the years done an extensive observation of the effects of solar activity on the general population with respect to temperment modification. It has been empirically confirmed that SIDs (Sudden Ionospheric Disturbances), and Solar Flux Density increases have the particular effect of mania on the general populace, while low periods tend to display a tendency toward depression.
We wonder what effects these new high power satellite systems could have on prevailing psychological states. Although it does not appear intentional, the ability to alter the moods of populations is one probable side effect of such a modification system. While this is not "mind control" per se, it does open up some interesting possibilities.

The plans for HAARP as I understand them are to go to 980 KW this year, and ultimately about 3.6 MW. Significant direct interactions with tropospheric weather patterns would require power levels of 100 MW or more. However, even at 3.6 MW significant experiments could be performed.
It has also been suggested that upper atmosphere winds (above 50KM) play a role in the motion of the lower altitude jet stream.(J. R. Herman and R. A. Goldbert. sun, Weather and Climate, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Washington, D. C. ) Balsley et al have studied the modulation of the auroral electrojet and found correlation with modulation of the zonal winds at 88 KM altitude. (B. B. Balsley, et al, 1983. The HAARP antenna as it is now configured modulates the auroral electrojet to induce ELF waves and thus could have an effect on the Zonal winds.
I recently have revisited the potential for electromagnetic beam modification of weather in a series of papers written with the support of the European Space Agency. They asked me to investigate potential applications in which a Solar Power Satellite was the source of energy. (They have been designed for 1,000 MW)

Editor's Note: Many articles have been written about HAARP. What this author wishes to make clear is that he believes HAARP is not the actual facility designed to be used as a military system but a "front" or "red herring" facility which allows the authorities to deny important questions about its purpose and operation. Albert Einstein's theories of relativity and the development of atomic energy are seen as the pinnacles of Twentieth Century technology. But Bernard Eastlund's discoveries, when they are eventually disclosed, will render many of Einstein's innovations obsolete.

You've probably never heard of Bernard Eastlund. If the US military has their way, you probably won't. He's a very private physicist with a small company in Houston. In the mid-80's, Eastlund invented and patented a technology that will nevertheless reshape our lives, for better or for worse, whether we like it or not.

Last month, ViewZone ran a photograph that was sent to us for identification (see Unusual Photographs). We received many wild explanations, from underground alien bases to ancient city streets. But a handful of anonymous e-mails were consistent. These described the long, parallel, perfectly straight lines as part of an antenna complex used to communicate with submerged submarines. These same e-mails spoke of "death rays" that could blast distant locations with lethal electromagnetic radiation.

The photograph was eventually believed to be an ELF (an acronym for Extremely Low Frequency) antenna installation, designed for submarine communication. There is one almost identical to the photograph in Michigan. Since our anonymous informants seemed to be so knowledgeable, we were curious about their claims of a "death ray" installation located somewhere in Alaska. Our informants directed our attention to something called HAARP (High Frequency Active Aurora Ionospheric Research Program).

HAARP is a military project based on Eastlund's discoveries. It is a technically difficult program to discuss with non-scientists and, as such, it has eluded the spotlight of the popular press. In addition, HAARP has been maintained partially as a clandestine project, operated by the US Navy. The information that is made available to the public is carefully worded to make HAARP appear as a bland, harmless, unclassified, atmospheric research facility.

This public image is maintained, in part, through a website, complete with a reassuring, updated, digital photograph, showing dozens of motionless aluminum dipole antennae at their remote Alaskan base. Public statements speak about "better understanding the ionosphere," a layer of Earth's atmosphere about 60-90 Km. high. They are polite when questioned, but stick to their "harmless research" stories, despite contradictions in the press and in publicly available documents. In preparation for this article, ViewZone contacted HAARP. Not only did they deny that the facility was doing military work, but they also diminished the work of Dr. Eastlund, implying that he knew very little about his own discovery.

Eventually everyone will know about Bernard Eastlund and his work. It will someday be taught in schools. His technology will impact every living thing. But this will have to wait for the military, who own his valuable patents, to release Eastlund's work for humane applications. For the time being, this work is buried in the secretive work of HAARP.

To completely understand Eastlund's work, you must first understand how and why HAARP works. This is not an easy task. But we'll try to keep it simple.

i think its probable, but unlikely that it was used.

I'm more inclined to believe that the lineup of 5 planets exerted gravitic forces and helped to move the tectonic plates ajar. I'm sure that HAARP could be used to accomplish the same, but there is no advantage to using it in Indonesia (i could be wrong). The U.S. base in the Indian Ocean was warned shortly before the wave, not hours or days. I don't believe the PTB would use a weapon that would change our planets orbit and potentially ruin their empire.

Oh, but things could turn out very different as well. For example, you might not notice anything at all. As a matter of fact, Noone is dead wrong in claiming that the alignment is rare. In the sixties, a Belgium astronomer named Jean Meeus calculated that precisely the same event as the one of September 2040 took place no less than nine times since the year 1000 AD. For example, a seven-body alignment took place on February 5th, 1962. And as far as we know, no poles melted away that day, nor were there any earthquakes or volcanic eruptions.

Although Saturn and Jupiter are BIG planets, they are simply too far away to do us any harm. Their gravitational pull, even if combined, is only some ten thousandths of the gravitational pull the Sun and the Moon exert on the Earth. And as you know, those two objects do not kick the Earth's axis over. The only thing we do notice is the changing of the tides.

Indian scientists recently found a scientific method of predicting earthquakes quite accurately. The great quake of Sumatra along Andaman fault line on December 26th, could have been predicted if the world would have taken these scientists seriously.

If this theory is true, we are in for many mega earthquakes soon. When two or more planets, moon and earth and sun come in one line, these mega earthquakes happen. The sun influences the rotation of earth. Now imagine you are in a train or bus. If all on a sudden the driver pushes the brake, you tend to move forward in a jerk. Exactly same thing happens when two or more planets line up with earth and pulls from the other side. The tectonic pressures built up get released in specific points of epicenter.


In this case Jupiter, Venus, Moon, Earth, Sun came in one line and the scientists predicted on the dot the earthquake. Unfortunately the world did not take then seriously enough.

It is a fascinating theory and according to the inventors in is correct 99% times in the last 100 years. The ancient Mayans, Egyptians, Chinese and Indians all used to get very concerned on planetary alignments because something catastrophic happened.

The Indian scientists were predicting many earthquake around India.

Earthquakes really pose little direct danger to a person. But due to earthquakes there are some effects like ground shaking, ground displacement, liquefaction, flooding (tsunami), and fire which are hazardous to human beings. The hazards mentioned above are avoidable if prediction can be made early, which would enable their mitigation, reduce damage to life and property drastically and facilitate precautionary measures by government and NGOs. Though there have been several attempts at earthquake prediction from different perspectives, this attempt aims at establishing planetary configurations as a definitive means of earthquake prediction. Also this study aims to establish the occurrence of earthquake precursors like fore shocks and change in ground water level with respect to planetary configurations. When two or more than two planets, Sun and Moon are aligned more or less in line (0o or 180o) with the Earth, then the Earth would be caught in the middle of a huge gravity struggle between the Sun and the planets. The gravitational stresses would change the speed of the Earth in its orbit. When the speed of rotation of the earth changes the tectonic plate motion also gets affected, just as people collide with each other when the bus driver suddenly applies the brakes. The total angular momentum of planets involving in earthquake triggering mechanism can be calculated and the total force acting at the epicenter in the opposite direction to the rotation of the earth can also be determined. At the epicenter, the speed of rotation of the earth can be calculated with the help of available software. So the planetary forces acting in the opposite direction to the rotation of earth act as a triggering mechanism for the accumulated stress at faults and plate boundaries, to be released abruptly. This does not, however, mean that earthquakes will occur at all edges of the plate boundaries. In order to trigger an earthquake in one particular place, two conditions should be satisfied. They are a) distance of epicenter from the planet position and b) Direction of force acting at the possible epicenter. From the analysis of “Most significant earthquakes” over past 100 years, it is inferred that the latitude, longitude and magnitude of the tremor is related to the distance from the planet and direction of planetary forces acting at any particular point. So the planetary positions can be used to predict the earthquakes in long term prospect and then by correlating the planetary positions and their forces with geology of that area, earthquakes can be predicted with fair accuracy with regard to latitude, longitude and magnitude at least a month before.

i know, no offense intended, but dammit, some of us already know HAARP has been used before and will probably be used again, but i would prefer to think that it wasn't used in this case.

If the moon was involved in this one, then i'm more inclined to believe the line-up caused it. what if the moon doesn't effect the tides like we are taught, but instead, affects the tectonic plate displacing the oceans to cause high tides? after all, what is underneath all that crust? buried alongside the sediments? Iron ferrites. the earth is somewhat elastic, but eventually, it has to react to the forces acting on it and shift, ergo Earthquakes.
