Guess this could be in P, E & M aswell, or even armageddon, but....
Hybrids, named Chimeras (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/01/0125_050125_chimeras.html) are being created right now. Greek mythology has come alive.
Order me a pair of cat eyes, will you?

Interesting find Mac. I really wonder if all embryos get destroyed? You know there's experiments going on that aren't released to the public. I bet there are all kinds of abominations walking around and/or caged up in laboratories. Reminds me of that fantastic story about the secret Govt. base in Dulce New Mexico.

What is a Chimera?

A chimera is basically an animal with human features. In Greek mythology it was basically a large lion with a man's head.

Thanks Mac! Finally, something REALLY interesting. :2thumbs: I'll probably give some feedback right after I'm done reading it.

Well I had to do a few things before reading that. Any who, that's pretty amazing. The problem that I find tough to digest is the 'what if', or the consequences. I'm neither for or against this. Only time will tell I suppose until we see what the future holds for this.

It's an odd experiment, but that's how intellectual evolution works. I seriously down other intelligent life in the universe ignores manipulating nature.

Ok I must drop this "bomb" on ya. If scientist in fact "create" life from several different species, would that not make the scientist the creator? Fast forward a few hundred millenniums and imagine if our spoken language as we know it had changed to some other means of communication. These chimera, after a very long time "taking hard core evolution into account" say these creatures have evolved to a level similar to modern man, and they found the dated records of their beginning. It would be there bible would it not. A far fetched ideal, however I think it is relevant and in tune with the majority of mainstream evolution vs creation arguments. I didn't mean to bring a religious POV to the science thread but it couldn't resist the question.

I am not trying to provoke you Laz but can you explain to me the difference between intelligent evolution and intelligent design ? I would equate the purpose of the word intelligent in either, would mean deliberate or purposeful.

What 40oz is saying is we were a mix of "the greys" and apes.... The were doing some dirty ape loving 6 thousand years ago and didnt clean up their tracks.
Take that 40oz's beliefs!

I'll keep this short, because it's completely off topic. If you want more debate then add in the appropriate forum or hit me up in private.
I think you're asking the wrong question. There's no such thing as "Intelligent Evolution". Intelligent Design means simply that the the entire universe was constructed by a being with intelligence. The difference is, ID is merely manipulated science reasoned only to serve global (mainly personal) interests.
While evolution is unbiased, well tested, well expiremented, and well observed science.
I don't say this with bias, I say it with support of science.

If you put the same energy and time into research of this specific subject, I would wager any amount of money you would see things differently, even if slightly.

These "greys" have been catalogued throughout history, not just in modern times of TV and radio as most think.

There was another link that I can no longer find but it was a very impressive image of the modern day "greys"
Whats it all mean? Dunno, but I think we are not doing anything "new" in our quest for genetic engineering.

I see mainly a military use in this, only cat-eye sight will give you an enormous advantage. This could be the start of whiping ourselves out...by another species (spare me the E.T. stuff).

Well, ya gotta flip em around :bondage:
I haven't had an experience with the lil fuggers. I think that it is no coincidence is what I'm saying. Do you mean to tell me you think that we are it? It is rather absurd, in either case (evolution or creation) to think we are it.
