I guess you can't bake a cake, apple pie, or even cookies and be nice to your neighbors anymore....You may be stuck with their medical bill.....!!!

I dont believe tort reform would have had any effect on this case. That is, tort reform in the effect that most on the right envision.

. . .I thought "Tort Reform" set limits upon the amounts that could be won, and did not necessarily deal with that issue of whether-or-not a lawsuit was frivolous or not? Lemmee know? :dunno:

Me too, but I think they also want to limit who can be blamed. It doesnt really touch small claims at all.

I was thinking about this at work, i can see how some paranoid people, in this day and age, think everyone is out to get them, but wouldn't just throwing them away have been enough, unless of course the woman has a phobia of cookies, in which case that was and evil deed by the girls
C'mon, wtf

This reminded me of the "bowling for columbine" movie.. People in the USA are so drenched in fear every day through the media, they're bound to react in this stupid way.. But this JUDGE!!! He should have known better. If I had been one of those girls I would've taken this to a higher court straight away.
