A low pressure/Nor'easter developed off the coast over the last 12 hours. It has bombed at 5pm est to 972 millibars. At 11pm est upper 950s millibars. At 2am 947 milibars. Then at 5am est it is 941 to 946 millibars. This area of low presure is very tight with a pressure grad of maybe no more then 10 or so miles per 5 millibars. Buoys all over the area range from 955 millibars to that of the center. 4 buoys have proved that this is not a joke.
This storm is very much tight an or powerful. This is much more powerful then the 1993 superstorm. Where ever this makes landfall I expect winds an a area of 30 to 50 nmi in size of 100 miles per hour or more. With winds outwards of 100 miles of 60 mph with gust to 80 mph.
Quickscat data proved that this wind field is truely Amazing. I ecpect there will be a area where houses Maybe even small towns will be flaten into the ground. I'm saying that because I don't know or have any idea how strong this is. This is truely a storm from hell.
Reports of 80 mph winds have already been reported far away from the center of this superstorm. With Blizzard like weather. Lets pray to god that people will be safe. God bless.
