i have made an outstanding discovery that most of you just take what happens in the present and warps it into a big deal and then just exaggerates the issue beyond reason.. for example, OH NO TSUNAMI HIT SOME ASIAN COUNTRY!! = all of these retarded bullshit off-shoots of possible scenarios. i dont know why i was compelled to say this but it wasnt really in the intention of being flamed, just stating an opinion. i actually love reading this shit but some of it is bogus.

Err...whats your point, this topic seems kinda pointless. The example you gave didnt really make sence. Im just saying is all.

You might want to pick particular people otherwise everyones gonna be having a go at you. Yes there was a big tsunami in Asia but there was some pictures of the seabed but i can't remember what it was about. I dont see the tsunami as a armageddon scenario, they happen always. A tsunami which is an armageddon scenario would be a absolutly giant one like a mage-tsunami. I see that only being caused by a meteor hitting the ocean or a hge landslide like La Palma.

When a 1 mile big asteroid smacks into us then we are all fucked :D

You got my support terminator, I noticed the same kind of copycat bs here and there. But I notice this kind of copycat bs everywhere in life too. there's a tsunami, suddenly everyone I know is cancelling vacations to SouthEast Asia and moving to Colorado. There's an earthquake, everyone goes out and buys survival packs. Mount St. Helens spews some steam, half of Washington state goes to visit relatives.

most people in the world are sheep, thus the preponderance of organized religions to soothe the masses. some of those sheep slip through and go around pretending they're independent thinkers, but in reality they're just devout religionists who have no church to attend. so they believe whatever they're told from sources other than God. thus you find folk who 'KNOW' something because "Someone told me" and shit like that. or those who say everything is wrong, that nothing is real or could be, because they feel that way.

remember, every time you get flamed for expressing your opinion, somewhere a fanatic is losing another finger or toe nail to pliers. ahh, happy thoughts... :crtmn:

Fact: there have been 2 8.5 or greater quakes in the region within months, one causing the now infamous tsunami that killed probably upwards of 300k. Fact: Scientists are saying a third equally if not more power quake is coming shortly. Apparantly you guys are not even noticing the world is changing very quickly. Weather patterns are starting to change. Yellowstone (though I doubt it will happen within the next 20-30 years) is preparing to blow its top. The one Canary Island is ready to drop in the ocean and wipe out the Eastern Seaboard. For everything, it is not a matter of "if" but a matter of "when".

Exactly; WHEN. Doesn't mean in 5 years doesn't mean in 50, it means whenever. Just hope its not in your lifetime.

I wouldnt of gone to South East Asia as all the resorts would be trashed. But once everything is rebuilt i wouldnt worry that there'd be a tsunami. Tsunamis happen all the time. Can't stop going places 'cos of them. It's like flying, four planes get hijacked on 9/11, you wouldnt be able to go anywhere far if you don't fly. I've always hated flying but have had a greater fear of flying since 9/11 but dont stop me from flying. Getting on a plane this year and next year.

As the saying goes "The best way to overcome your fears is to face them"

Exactly. Its called life people, bad things are going to happen, but no one knows when, so just live life normally and forget the bad stuff.

Well, we COULD forget all the bad-stuff ever happened, but that would make all those people die in vain. If we dont react at all, or learn from it, bad-stuff will happen all the time

What i meant was people should stop thinking about horrible disasters all the time. Im mainly talking about some people on these boards who are expecting the armageddon any minute, and are always thinking about it... you just can't live like that
