What if we are already in Hell and that this planet EARTH is really a punshiment for somthing we have done in are other past life..... I know this may sound weird but also what if dieing on this plane is like a reward ..... someone doing somthing right from wrong..... any suggestions...????

Well, my life can relate to earth being Hell, but if it is, it would really suck. I don't think it is though because there is some good in the world, and you would think Hell would be all punishment, not a moment of happiness.

I think there are spots of hell and heaven on earth.

. . .is tied so perfectly to "Religious Beliefs" that I cannot see this thread as appropriate to any other thread PERIOD. Really, people. . .Let's try to stay "Relevant", okay? (In case you're wondering, that is why I moved this). . .

some people have happy lives, some people have miserable ones. I do not believe this is hell, or heaven. I don't know exactly what it is though, perhaps a test? Perhaps a lesson...maybe a trial run? Maybe we are stuck in this place for good, doomed to constantly come back to earth life after life until the end of the world, and then when that occurs we are over, never to live again anywhere. Scary when you start to doubt God, isn't it? That's why faith exists. ANd if faith exists I do not believe this could possibly be hell...BUT I could have it all wrong

Finally! Someone can relate to me as to what I've been telling family/friends. Yes, life is a test. Not a test to grade you, but a test to "see" where you stand out/what you do/what you become.

Conversion my friend, thats your test. God tested you to see if you would change, like God is testing my family through various obstacles.

Well, that part could be religion based, or in my case I believed in Him when I was Protestant, but not like I do now since I've converted to the Catholic faith, or it could be that you just really dont believe in Him, but thats okay, because He loves you no matter what.

Well Vtf, I will try my best to not be Sac-religious. If your religious, good for you. But I'm not. So don't shove religion down my throat, and I won't be sac-religious ;).

Howdy whitesnake and welcome to the boards! I loved that band!
Anyways, back on topic. Who knows "what" this plane is we live in. For all we know we could be gone and thats just the end of it. Personally I dont believe that but I could be wrong in my beliefs since I have no proof.
My own beliefs are that there is a balance to everything which would mean that if there was a "heaven" there would also be a "hell". Whether or not we are living it now I have no proof of it but I could easily imagine that where I am at now could be either.....and neither.

I thought that God was supposed to be all-knowing? Why would He need to "test" your family at all? He should KNOW whether your family is good or evil WITHOUT having to "test" you. You're basically saying that YOU know that your family is good but God DOESN'T! Any test that puts your family through needless difficulties is simply sadistic and accomplishes absolutely NOTHING but needless suffering...

Its under different circumstances, yes your right HE does KNOW, but its to make sure we know. Its kind of complicated to explain I've had this happen before.
