A plasma field contained in a magnetic field could be constructed to create a lightsaber. The plasma could be contained in the handle, when the switch is flipped the electromagnetic field is energized and the plasma is ejected within it. Although creating the high temperature of the plasma would require a large energy supply, the lightsaber would perform just as in the movies and is not a technical impossibility." -- Michael Ernst, Student, Miami

BTW. the last time there was a Big Census in Canada there was also a 'Net based circulation asking people to to put 'Jedi' in the space where they declare religious beliefs. The idea was that if enough people put that (I think the number was 10 000 or something like that) then the Jedi would become a recognized organized religion in Canada with tax-exempt status and everything.
never did find out what happened though, and I had to put Shinto cause that's my main spirituality (honor thy father and mother).

I wasn't aware of that! Damn! The next census, I'm going to put Jedi in the religious space!

I have read stuff bout making lightsabres and I believe it has been tried by governemnts and some people but no one will admit it. I think the theory is correct but I guess its a trial and error scenario.

If you're asking if it could be a religion then yes it could be. Considering so much of it is based off of eastern religious philosophy aswell as western philosophy, it's highly plausible.

I don't think it will become a religion like Christianity or Catholacism, but it is an excellant philosopy (ARG! I can't spell) to go by. Hell I don't know, But it would make a badass religion if it reaches such a high status.

There is only one ingredience that a religion needs: bullshit. So, a Jedi knight religion is possible.

OH NO!!! HAIL B.NYE AND THE FORCE!!! PLEASE, DO NOT SEND A HOVERING SEX TOY TO MY HOUSE!!! I CAN LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!!!
But, then again... controlling people with terror? Isn't that just a little bit "jihady" and "christianity"?

A religion just isn't a religion unless there's controlling via terror and religious blackmail!
And since you've repented (I think), the anal probe droid has been re-directed to the headquarters of the Swedish Bikini Team...

To be honest with you... i have never even heard of the Swedish Bikini Team. But, I guess it's some kind of show or something, that is very stereotypical (dumb blondes who are easy to get laid with, like the whole world thinks when the word Sweden pops in their mind). Am I correct?

Aaaaahh, the Swedish Bikini Team... That's what we think of when Sweden pops in our minds. That along with Ikea, Abba and the National Hockey team losing to Belarus at the Olympics in 2002...

Jedi is not a religion yet but like all other religions they had to start some place why not with you?
Accession sounds really cool to me
The assumption of an important position, usually a position of power.
And if you plan on going to a higher plane what to do watch Stargate?

I do feel already we have jedis and protectors on this earth already, Have u heard of the shaolin monks and temples in Tebet i think.
They train people from childhood and can do some amazing things with their bodys and also the are well trained in weapons, balance and they dont use in the wrong way just defend..
All they need is the technology to have a type of lightsabre and i think we could see some highly trained jedi warriors.

Yeah, you got a point there. I heard, that the reason why they dont use it for attack is because they think that the "dark spirits" will then use it to do evil. Hm... kinda like the "dark side", dont you think?

actually i was developign a real lightsabre with some groups on another forum.. were kinda close to it just need a good power source...
well to say the force is all right? well all the universe if matter, materr is condensed energy. So were all a big lake of energy.. how could u separate a drop from a lake? thats is a kinda good theory 4 "the force"...
and well TK (telekinesis) is very real IMO... u kno theres lots of brain parts that no1 knows what they do... heard some sites about it...
ill prolly believe in Jediism more than Cristians.. it kinda makes more sense.. its not as close minded as christians...
