Seems like activity is occuring near the area...Was Toba in the range of the Epicenter?

Shouldn't this be in with another thread about a huge quake?

I must admit that area does not exactly fill me with confidence, it is a walking timebomb to be honest. The earthquake that caused the tsunami on 26th of Dec 2004, has definatly destablised the sumatran area. I believe the smaller earthquakes we are witnessing now is jst the build up to the main event!

The eruption of Toba!

Who here is waiting in joy or horror for this to happen? I have no idea how long but my best guess is soon!

I look at it this way. The thought of a global cataclysm like a supervolcano eruption happening in my lifetime would be absolutely awesome. To witness such an event would mind blowing to say the least.

The reality is that that the fascination would quickly give way to suffering on a scale the human race has never witnessed before and I would be one of the suffering souls. I would probably die of starvation or maybe freeze to death. I would probably witness the deaths of at least a few loved ones before I go.

I cringe at the thought of this but yet, the insane part of me is saying, bring it on. I'll get the popcorn started. :headbang:
