I was shocked when I read this headline;

Priest Defends Marilyn Manson Ahead of Croatia Gig

Rueters

ZAGREB (August 16) - Religious groups in Croatia are up in arms over the imminent arrival of shock-rocker Marilyn Manson for a concert.

But rallying to the banner of free speech and perhaps a little shock-value of his own, Manson has found one unlikely defender -- a Catholic priest.

After reading that I was surprised that in this day and age a Catholic preist would actually have the cahones to stand up for what he believes in. Not only that but to actually make sense while doing so. That guy should be the pope!

Id be amazed if the Catholic church hasnt tried to rein him in by now.

Weird in what way? Weird in defending Manson or just weird in general? I find all organized religion strange and fraught with hypocrisy no matter what it is.

I believe in free speech and the freedom to practice whatever religion they want, just dont lie or deceive while doing so. At least this preist is standing up for what is right even though the majority of folk would consider Manson weird.
