I've always believed in the paranormal, but after last night I have no doubts at all.
I fell asleep at about one in the morning on May 1st and I was sleeping facing the wall in the room. I woke up out of my sleep with that feeling that someone is watching you, kind of like when its late at night and your in a room all by yourself. So I roll over and look over to my crates on the other side of my room (which is about 10 feet away i live in a college dorm) and I see what at first I thought was just a bright light (kind of like when you look into a bright light, and close your eyes, and you see bright lines moving). but then after about 5 seconds of just staring in awe it started to develop the figure of what looked to be a little girl, maybe 3-4 feet tall browsing through my crates.
By this point I was prety startled and started leaning out of bed to get a closer look. I said "hello... little girl?", and she didnt answer so I slowly got out of bed and started moving towards her to get a better look. By the time I was about 5 feet away from her she disapeared. A couple minutes later i turned the lights on to see what it could have been she was doing... or if she left something... anything. i din't really see much though.
some people are telling me that i was probably still half sleeping, but I am confident that what i saw was the ghost of a little girl. theres more to the story but i wont get into that unless if anyone is interested lol.
Needless to say I didnt really sleep last night and don't plan on it tonight either. I want to see it again, at the same tiem I don't.... I guess i just want to know who she was. What do you make out of this sitation? should i want to see this again? is there anyone out there who could maybe give me a psychic reading??

You saw something, but may not have actually been a ghost. You obviously were not afraid of it or you would have recoiled, which is a good thing. We have sooooo many entities, like angels, deceased relatives, spirit guides, etc. that help us through this life that most are not aware of. For some reason, she allowed herself to be seen by you. That is awesome. Now you are not a skeptic anymore and the doors to bigger and better things will open up, if you allow them. Just listen to that inner voice, we call gut feeling.

There was once a case in an British hospital (the old part of Derbyshire Royal Infirmary), whereby all the patients saw a ghost walking down the ward, I cannot remember how often, bt she was seen many times. After due consideration, Derby City Council decided to have another ward built in between the existing ones (The rooms in the old part of the hospital were muuch bigger then), the work was carried out and the patients were moved back in.
Weeks later the ghost of the matron was seen again, only this time, she had no feet, she was still walking on the old floor of the ward, the new floor was raised about 10 centimetres. I believe that ghosts are only 'rips' in time, parts of History repeat themselves all over the world, an example of this would be a medieval battlefield, a huge battle had one taken place in this field, and many men had died.
A few walkers were walking near the field, and saw hundreds of troops marching in the field, a repeat of what happend over 700 years ago.
In my opinion, ghosts do exist, but you cannot interact with them (like the young chap that started this article experinced), they are merely 'replays', if you like, of events which happend in the past, it could be as simple as a man walking right across your living room, or it could be as complex as an entire battle taking place again, they happen all over the planet.

Is that so?, because I have got myself into many, many, VERY bad situations, sometimes where my life was involved, and I always (touch wood), scrape through, just somehow, I sometimes wonder how I do it. Nothing bad (touch wood) has ever happened to me, I haven't broken any bones (touch wood), I haven't ever been threatened (touch wood), and I seem to have, so far, led a very lucky life (touch wood).

Hello Kohler,
Here are some thoughts I have on your experience.....
Analysis:
Young men who see little girl apparitions that don't respond to their queries in the middle of the night may be harboring a hidden desire to uncover a past life. Often times an entity will pay a visit to someone that may provide closure to their previous life. College dorms are prime locations for young souls to visit, which sort of explains the reason that this one might have been thumbing through your boxes, perhaps in search of some information to resolve her life. She may spend her eternity looking through many boxes and never find what she lost. I wouldn't attempt to call her back, nor would I try to interupt her again, if she returns. The spirit might get angry if you interupt her search and then you might pay some dire consequences if she attatches herself to you.
As to the repeating profile of soldiers in battles, I believe that those who have died with a deep commitment to a cause, such as War, will be destined to repeat the action as a focus in thought. Conflict joins people in a single purpose out of the neccessity of survival. Thus, the purpose lives on in their actions.
Native Americans and many other cultures around the world have held the sanctity of the dead in very high regard. I suggest you do the same....

So you mean that I could have reminded the girl of someone she knew in her past life?

The focus of her intent to look through files/boxes, seems to make her somewhat incomplete in how she left the life she new. The simple reason that you came upon her looking, lends creedence to who you are and what you are searching for in your studies. Again, I will encourage you not to interupt this spirit as she searches for something misplaced, or lost... I think that you should view the encounter as a pleasent experience and move on from there... :2thumbs:

Not necessarily, She may be just looking for a connection to what she might have left behind.. You could be a relative, but since so many others have seen her, you might be an innocent bystander.

She probably died there, no biggie, i do believe you saw a ghost, mine have been more human, you look at the figure they look like you and I and then they disappear. I see them in more solid form, but that's cool, don't be afraid of them they don't hurt anyone, she's probably wondering what the hell you're doing there?? The next time you see her tell her you're not there to harm her and get her name. Hopefully she'll be willing to talk to you. otherwise that's pretty cool. :headbang:

WHo really knows what we see. could it be the sleep induced mind? or an actual ghost. But one thing for sure is to keep an open mind and dont let it bother you if people dont believe you. I for one believe in ghosts. I have never seen one but i have a couple of pictures that are extreamly interesting, and they are not floating orbs or such. O  ne was taken at a camp and one was taken of myself and my fiancee at Emmas Back Porch in Burlington, Ont. ( which is known for the ghosts of Emma and her kids) .

I got the feeling that she died before your college was even built...She might have lived on that land....Why don't you ask what was on that land before the college...As for her looking through your stuff is either she was looking for something of hers...or she was just checking things out....When we go to the spirit world do you think there will be anything materialistic...that maybe why she was looking... so she can see things she usually doesn't get to see....Just a thought...I'm sure you've heard something similar by now....But it might help...Good Luck!!

I find it interesting that some people see things and others dont. The only expiriance i have had isnt all that interesting,at least not to me.But ill tell you anyway.
I live in Massachussetts, have all my life, and i was working in a cemetary(Pine Hill cemetary in west Bridgewater)
I was a grave digger.which of course involves burying the dead, but usually is just a long day of mowing,or weed wacking around head stones.(or enforcing the rules like nothing being placed outside of the perimiter about 1 foot infront of the headstone,or removeing plants that were planted against the policies of the cemetary, which always sucked to have to do,people hated us for it.)
in the fall its rakeing leaves and in winter, shoveling and snow blowing or plowing.
Basically its a grounds keeper who sometimes has to bury the deceased.
Since i was little ive loved cemetarys.very quiet and peaceful, alot of times very beutiful too.Even at night. That is to say ive never been afraid in one,or depressed ect.It was always a positive thing for me.
So one day im wacking away with my weed wacker, and usually as i was weedwacking out of bordom i would sing or talk ect,oh gooday mrs Jhonson, just going to trim you up a bit, that sort of thing.after a while you just remember all the names of the people on the stones, mabey its wierd to talk to them, but i did anyway,it helped me fight the boredom that comes along with the job.I was never disrespectful.(some of the other guys had a real morbid sense of humor)
Out of the corner of my eye i saw something, very dark go by,but when i looked it wasnt there, earlier that week we did a dump truck run to get rid of all the dead and dying flowers from the planters ect,pre fall cleanup,so there were no flowers anywhere in the cemetary,i was in the new section, and way out behind is where the old section is,behind which about a football feilds drive be hind our maintanance garage was the pile of flowers we disposed of.
Then all i could smell was somthing either floral or perfume like in scent, which struck me as odd because we had disposed of all the flowers and the wind was blowing across the new section twards the old section,so it couldnt have possibly been the wind carrying the scent of the flowers we dumped to where i was working.
I wasnt scared, but a bit uneasy. It happened alot,I never saw anything dead on,always out of the corner of my eye.Whatever it was it didnt mind me being there,it only seemed to happen to me.(I asked others if they had anything like that happen and they laughed at me)I dont know what it was,but it happened enough to make me revise my ideas on ghosts and paranormal.

I saw something one night when I was falling asleep. It was a shadow shaped like a man, but it looked like it had horns, it moved very fast, made no sound, and creeped me out. This was about 6 years ago.
