I wanted to apologize for my previous post cause It was in bad taste. I am not condoing date rape in any shape or form. I would never be with someone if they didnt want it. I would of course ask if it was ok first. I just wanted to clarify that up for you. The real reason for the alcohol was to loosen things up cause I know we are attracted to each other. Also to boost my own self confidence. But I got my answer it is not morally acceptable to be with someone when sloshed cause alcohol can make you do things you wouldnt do other wise. Thanks for your input. Ill try a date first maybe rent a movie instead.

You were asking a question. I don't think you're the one who needs to be apologizing. However, you should know better- or perhaps you should phrase what you're asking better.
As for me, my post was mostly in humor, and I feel it was taken out of context. But that's my fault. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
sentences like
Go to a club or a college campus party...that's always the safest. Everyone's wanting to get laid in those environments...
and
That being said, if you get her drunk, and stay sober, well, that's date rape.
are useless when there's a large dose of immorality and inexcusable, gratuitusly vulgar humor mixed in.
Laz, I take yours and a few other's opinions very seriously, but I feel I might have misrepresented what I was saying. However, I do appreciate your strong stance on a moral issue when many times people want to ride the fence to avoid being labeled a "moral absolutist." It's the trendy thing to say that there are no moral absolutes-but as detractors of moral relativism note, moral relativism can lead to evil. Or in plain English- there are things that everyone knows are wrong. Period.

I'm pleased to see your intentions were indeed, what you have given confirmation they were originally. A moderate level of alcohol can make you/others less inhibited - that is a benefit, if seeking passion.

lol... I missed the other thread I guess. Anyways, I have ordered water shots for myself and 151 for the others.... It wasnt for sex though, my friend and I were just tired of his girlfriends company so we put her to bed early.

Eventhough what i said wasn't actually meant as seriously as it was taken and was actually a joke, and i didnt believe much of it myself. i admit it was a wee bit crude, as well as maybe offensive. so I also apoligise 4 some of the stuff I put in there. I would delte my post if i could. Am I forgiven, laz?

That seems to be the trend on that thread. But it was closed for a reason, so I think I'll just shut up about it now...

I've moved this thread to the Off Topic forum.
Allow me to clarify a few things. I didn't close down the thread because of the original post made by the thread starter. Even if Jack gave the wrong impression, it was not the reason for closing the thread. I closed the thread because there was entirely too much activity supporting the very concept of sexual abuse. It had gone way too far and it needed to be shut down. I had heard enough complaints by people in the midst of the posting to justify shutting it down and deleting it.
I am no holy roller. I am not holier than thou. I am sure my idea of certain moral behavior does not coincide with others' ideas. The moderators of this forum, including myself, always moderate objectively. I will admit that a significant part of for my shutting down the thread wasn't entirely objective. However, I think it's safe to say that no one in that thread thought I was being out of line for shutting it down.
For those who were just joking around, don't worry about it. However, be careful how and where you joke. Making supportive wisecracks in a thread like that of which was deleted isn't appropriate unless they are obviously satirical. Remember, we are on the internet so others can not hear the tone of your voices. Choose your words carefully on sensitive subjects, especially if you are just trying to be a wise ass.
No harm, no foul. Everything is cool and no one is in any trouble. I just felt obligated to stop the thread before it got too much worse. For those who've apologized publicly and privately, I truly appreciate that.

This is the thread about getting girls drunk to help get them into bed right ??
If it is that thread then Laz I fully appreciate what your saying - but I do think some people take things waaaaay too seriously ...... that thread was nothing more than just typical male locker-room banter ..... totally harmless and all firmly tongue in cheek !!
To close the thread like that gives an impression that we were actually, genuinely condoning such behaviour, instead of purely joking around like most people do every day of the week ...... the Internet is another form of human expression and humour does transcend the medium if the atmosphere is conducive .....
I fear that the fantastically sarcastic, satirical, jovial, anti-establishment, politically incorrect and open minded atmosphere that this great forum has, may have been tarnished .....
Just my $0.02 ......

But as Laz pointed out you got to remember that it's difficult to tell if you are joking on the internet as you can't tell a person's voice tone to see if there joking or not plus there are some people on here who proberly didn't find it funny.

Keep in mind that there really are hot button issues with people. Every one wants to pretend that there are no moral absolutes- that they are so "tolerant," but that's total bullshit. Even you have morals that you don't compromise on.
For me, I go ballistic when Christians start slamming gays. I mean I get pissed, as I'm sure some of you have seen. Just ask Uki- I once told him that his god could "suck my pole," in the midst of size seven font of capital "fuck u's" and what not. hehe... that was funny...
but the point is that you can't possibly expect everything to be tolerated. That's completely unrealistic.
