Use it when it is TRULY deserved! If someone is being a rascist or a jerk, including excessive profanity or just mindless cruelty, then slam them. If someone soundly hands your ass to you in a debate, well too bad. You should have stayed home...

We've been using this same rep point system on tamparacing.com for a while, and for the most part, it's an optional thing. Most members, including myself, could care less about how many green dots (or red dots) they have under their avatar.

The one thing that's of value is the ability to leave a comment about the post while giving rep; it helps me learn when my twisted sense of humor has just crossed a line with someone -- so I know for future reference how to irritate fellow board members.

I don't plan on using this feature unless I'm truly impressed or unimpressed. It should not be a vehicle for childish revenge, but it probably will become one. We have some real crybabies on this forum. Misfits to the nth degree.
