    I don't know anything about Mac's as I've never personally used one or wanted to use one. I have a slight problem. Someone downloaded the survival PDF files from here -- and I'm not sure what the process is for a Mac to extract and view them. Anyone want to give me some ideas? What do Mac users use to open .RAR files and extract them. A simple step by step would be great in case I run into this issue again -- I can add it to the e-mail. Thanks -MM- :crs:

  3. Mk, downtime.

    Ok so long story short, I moved MN to OR a few months ago, and we are living in rented upstairs. The owner (last month) missed the bill, so we had no net for like 1 day -- no biggie, but this time somehow when his wife called to cancel the land line (rarely used) they shut everything down entirely... His network sucks as is, but at least it works ya know? Well instead of turning on just the internet, somehow the land line was left on -- and the internet moved to a separate account. We went down like 1am Tuesday,and it didn't come up 'til around 6pm last night. I happened to be working on the site when all this happened, and the forums were closed. I guess they stayed closed all the way until now. Sometimes life just kicks ya in the balls :eww: Anyways, sorry for the downytime -- go back to business as usual. -MM- :crs:

  4. Poll Poll: Open posting : Allow anonymous people to post?

    What are some thoughts on this... I've had it requested a bunch over the years, something myself and the old administrator shot down as an idea, but it's been coming back at me again. They wouldn't be completely anonymous, but they wouldn't have an account tied to them, other than by posting IP/address. Banning them if they got out of line would be just as easy for non-members. It may require taking on a few more mods, but if it legitimately pulls people in and gets more posts being made, I'll consider it. Anyone want to explore that idea?

    Not trying to be a Drama Queen or anything like that. I tried to put this message in my sig but with the broken skin I am stuck with, seems like I am unable to do so. Just want people to please ignore the Moderator status that shows up for me. I am waiting for the day MM shows up to remove me from the Mod group.
