Aura

Supposably every living creature has this mysterious energy surrounding them. I don't much on this, care to enlighten me with your facts and opinions?

Moved to Paranormal.

The Aura is basically this energy field that surrounds our entire body. It is colored depending on our mood and what kind of person we are. It is also a source of energy that we can tap into to give us that extra "umph."

One method to see an Aura is to have a friend of yours stand in front of a white wall or something bright in color. Don't look at your friend, but rather the little area around your friend. Have your eyes go out of focus for a bit, and you just might see a little fuzzy color appear around them. That is their aura. If you practice hard enough, you'll be able to see auras more easily to the point where they don't need to be in front of something bright.

Funny as it sounds, my ex-wife told me she could see people's auras by using the above method. I don't think it worked, after all, she married me. :vbroll:

I have heard of the same method to learn how to see auras. Really havn't tried it myself so I can't judge if it works or not.

I can see my aura using the above method... its like dark blue-green-ish. Does that mean anything?

Chrisboe4ever: Do you have the source to this method?

lotrfan55345: Hehe, I think the spanish word orol is somewhat similar to what your pointing to.

VegasRonin: Lol. :rolling:

I had a picture taken of my Aura once. It had every color in it. The person who was explaining the pictures and what the Aura meant was a little suprised and said this ment I was a VERY old soul.

What equipment is used to capture the appearence of an aura around you?

Marajadex May 2nd, 2004 5:50 PM

A quick google search to make sure I was right. It is called Kirlian Photography. That is all I really know. When they took my picture I had to place my hand on a metal thing and they placed me infront of a black backround with a black drape over my clothes. Just took a picture of the head. It was at one of these physic fairs. Pop Kirlian photography into a google search it will give you more info than I can. If I ever run across my picture (have no Idea where it is!) I will scan it and post it.

guardian angels & satan arrounds us, perhaps? they're made of light (angels)& fire (satan)... that explains the aura, i guess.

The aura can be seen as an elctromagnetic field around living things. The white background is a good way to learn to see the aura, however you can practice touching it on yourself.

Set you hand on your arm lift slightly so as not to be touching focus on the sensations you feel with your hand. The first lesson is to feel your body heat so that later you can tell the difference between heat and magnetics. Once you are completely confident on the feel of your body heat lift your hand slowly away from your arm tell the heat is no longer felt and focus on the sensations you still recieve from touching the outer aspects of your aura.

Future lessons should focus on feeling the aura of other people, then practice looking at auras out of the corner of your eye. Through this process you should gain an understanding of where the aura is and better be able to see it.

the Aura has been explained many ways, both paranormal and scientific. but recently some folks have been using some cutting edge technology to look into it.

The Johns Hopkins Medical Research Institute started their Alternative Medicine and Practices department back in the mid 90's. in this department they checked out things like aura balancing during invasive surgery and that sort of thing. coming from such a conservative and well-known institute this was originally looked upon as some sort of odd bureaucratic slip up where quackery got emplaced in the halls of science. but years later and the findings are surprising, especially to skeptics like me.

remember when you read this stuff that it's from Johns Hopkins and not some recently established Trendstitute.
