    What is exactly is a torrent? In the 11 years I've worked with computers I've honestly never heard of them. Really what I would like to know is just some general info and downloading info. And just cause I'm still teen doesn't mean I would understand advanced computer talk...so that is all.

    To be honest I'm not expecting much from this.

    Try Bittorrent.com I have been using them for along time to download and watch shows I have missed on tv. The site will also explain what they are and how they work.

    Well, first you need to download an torrent download program like Azureus, which is currently the best one available.
    Install it on your hard drive and adjust the settings to your like.
    Download the torrent from the stuff you want to download.
    Open the torrent with the down loader.
    Select the files you want to download and the location on the computer where they must be downloaded too.
    Wait till download is completed.

    While looking for downloads its necessary to look for the stats of the torrent.
    There you will find 2 numbers. Seeders and Leechers. Feeders are the users you will be downloading from with an complete file and leechers are other people currently downloading the file.

    For an fast download you will need as much feeders as possible. Leechers shouldn't be so much of an problem. Unless they are compared with the feeders in large numbers. This usually means that the file is incomplete. Or that you only get an low speed.

    And that's basically it.

    Now that I'm done...I would like to say thank you to the both of you.

    I downloaded a PS-one game just because I can...now I just need a disk to put it on...(Castlevania - Symphony of the Night)

    That was faster than I thought it would be as I thought I might fall asleep or something...I just hope the game works when I put it in my Playstation2.

    OK let me explain,

    A torrent is something wel lanything you want so to speak that you download off the internet, The ycome in the form of any new age game you want or old game any book you want any tv show or cd you want basically You download something like this www.utorrent.com and then you find a torrent site.

    I dont know any torrent sites because im a good boy and dont beleive in piracy, but im sure.. a good google search of demonoid will get you on your way.
