Proof you CANNOT blame god for what happens!

Ok in my other topic I said I was reading a book. Its by a man named Chuck Smith and the book is called "What the world is coming to", its the newest edition (yes there are other versions). Its about lots of subjects, mostly related tot he book of revelations. So what does this have to do with this forum? Well for the next few weeks I am going to post some topics that will make great debates. Things that I can't answer but have been answered by someone that knows more about bible then most people.

This topic is about something people always say "Why does God let children die?" or "Why does God.....". Basically when people blame God for crap that happens here and WHY its not his fault.

ANYTHING I SAY is going to be VERRRYYYY cut down and shortened because the section he had on this was like 19 pages. Obviously what I post is getting to the point and skipping details that you "Proof" nerds might require or some crap like that. So if you want to see it for yourself go get the book, heck its at the library.

Here we go (this all pertains to the "blame god thing", I'll answer questions I am SURE you'll have following this so don't respond right away:
You know the story of Adam & Eve for the most part. BUT there is alot that most people don't know about. Even if you somehow know I will post it anyways because if you knew you WOULDN'T ask that stupid question about BLAME GOD.

Well lets start way back when God created the universe. When he created Earth he also made some kind of thing like an ownership thing. No one knows what to call it in human terms without sounding very silly. Basically it was something that meant God had made it. In the bible its referred to as a scroll.

Well fast forward to Adam & Eve. When Eve bit the Apple (and Adam did too) they basically defied Gods simple rule and ate from the Tree of Knowledge instead of eating from the Tree of Life. Well by doing this, since Satan tempted them, they were basically listening to Satan and worshiping him then. SO because Adam & Eve bit the apple and were now worshiping Satan the scroll had becomes Satans. (I forgot how it is mentioned in the book).

Anyways with Satan in control of it he was now able to bring evil into the world. And THIS is why bad things happen because he is the prince of evil and has the most control of earth and God can do very little.

Now when Jesus was sent and died and came back he (Jesus) went to a mountain top where Satan came to him and offered him the scroll which obviously would return the world to Gods control and mean no more evil, no more bad things. All Jesus had to do was bow down and worship him. Jesus refused. He was there just to die for our sins.

So now God will come back with his army (as I call it) and when he does take bake the scroll and then a bunch of really complicated stuff happens like satan being sent into a abyss for 7 years then having control of the earth again so people here that are left can choose between the anti-christ and God upon his second and last coming before everything is destroyed. Read the book.

So thats why there is evil and bad crap happens...etc. Satan has controls of the earth because of mans decision to listen to Satan instead of God and eat from the 1 out of a million trees they weren't suppose to. So we are stuck with him until God comes back.

Here are some questions I will answer (that were in the book) and some that weren't in no order:

Q1: Why didn't he just stop this all in the first time if he knew it was going to happen?
A1: Because it was mans decision. He knows what the outcome "can be". Its up to us to decide. Some events it doesn't matter what we do such as his return. Where as with Adam & Eve they had a choice. And they choose evil. People complain they don't have choice from God yet its plain to see he gave us it since the beginning!

Q2: What about the cherub! Thats an evil act!
A2: For those who don't know after they bit the apple God had one of the Cherubs guard the path to the Tree of Life with a flaming sword to keep Adam & Eve out. He did it out of Mercy. NOT anger. As it is written its mercy because h didn't want us being able to live forever while evil existed. Could you imagine Hitler living forever? What about Suicide Bombers? Or rapists? It was mercy.

Q3: So why didn't Jesus take the damn scroll thing and make the world better?
A3: Because he is God or however that exactly works. He would never worship Satan. And it was one of those events that already had an outcome in the future.

Q4: Ok...fine... I get it so far but then WHY the heck is he waiting so long to come back and letting evil run ramped?
A4: If you read the Bible time is not even a concept in Heaven. A trillion years is like a second to God. While we may see that time has gone by and not get it it obviously must move faster or something for him. Whatever that concept is in heaven of "time" (or insert name).

Q5: Um so if satans here then where is he? Why isn't the world full of demons?
A5:So many ways to answer that. First off Hes not going to be visible. Hes still an demon well hes still from that "Realm" of things we can't see. And the world is full of demons. You just have to know what they look like.

Christians from many denominations have been known to feel "evil" when i the presence of it. Don't get this confused with movie crap. I mean lets say someone is taking witchcraft seriously, well Satan will help them along and rot their mind and if you get to into it things can happen. Those kind of people you have "sense" about as a christian. I thought it was BS until my teens when I started getting it. I don't meet many people that do and those that do we can prove it beacuse we always pick out the same people without saying anything.

Other say evil is in what you might see such as UFOS are created by the devil to pull people away from believing God and to believe in something else. Then there are things like exorcisms. While most of those people tend to be fake there are real people that get possessed Like I said demons exist and do evil things if you know what to look for and if your christian they especially like to tear you apart and try to pull you away from God.

Q6: Ok so God lets us make our own choice fine AND he comes back whenever for whatever you said. Explain why if he has the power to cast satan off of earth when he comes back why he just doesn't do it earlier or from heaven or....you know what I am saying!
A6: Because departure times from Heaven to Earth are HELL this time of millennium. Really because like I said to him its only been a second and what not. As for why he doesn't do it from heaven? He needs to come back to earth to have the war. I forgot how that part works but its been talked about here. Something about the Armageddon battle. Not to mention he can;'t take back earth unless he comes here. Remember Satan while not as powerful as God is still powerful and God is still honorable and will not just make Satan vanish until he comes back. Adam & Eve bit that apple and followed satan. He played dirty but God let them decide for themselves and they choose.

If you have any other questions I don't think I could really answer them since I haven't finished the book yet. If you need more info on this the above PLEASE read the book. I have seen a bunch of religious stuff over the years and never bothered telling anyone about it because its all the same junk. But this book is good debate material! So I would recommend it for you guys that love debating it!

Come on, you knew I'd go after this one. I feel like a fish, I just have to take that yummy worm.

Why isn't "god" willing to accept responsibility for his own actions, especially considering he knows every possible consequense of every action? (He's "god" so he has to know, if he doesn't he has no right to be called "a" god let alone "The" god).

If I hand someone a shotgun and they then kill 10 people, am I not responsible in some way for their deaths? So, by letting "satan" gain control of the Earth, as you say he did, is "god" not responsible for the consequenses?

Keep in mind, since we are discussing a fictional story, this is a strictly hypothetical discussion.

Well Adam & Eve knew if they went to the tree of knowledge that they would be sinning in general and would allow sin into the world. God already knew Satan would be their to tempt them thats why he made the tree of life, think of it as a "better offer". He wanted to see if his work would pay off you could say, if it really loved him like he made it. Hey infinite life seems like a awesome deal to me.
But Satan had a tricky lounge and got them to have knowledge so know we are smart (not 100% smart) and thanks to Satan we can choose between God or whatever.

I know it doesn't really answer your question but no Gods not responsible at least the way I read it. He made us then said "Pick me or him and I won't interfere (for now)".

If you think about it and he was to interfere and say "NO you stupid creations you were suppose to CHOOSE ME!" Wouldn't that be the opposite of a loving god? We can't have a free choice if he changes things the way he wants. I know what your going to say though "So then why would he come back and end everything? Thats slightly effecting everything!"

Thats a little more complicated. But I try to explain it is as he wants to get rid of satan but that also means he has to destroy his now corrupt universe and since we have choice anyone that doesn't believe goes to hell and believers go to a heaven (etc..) And after everything is destroyed according to the bible there will be a new earth created of sorts for the believers to live on.

Really hes not "effecting" everything as much as he is fixing a problem that is going awry. At one point this book mentions that one of the main reasons God comes back is because if he doesn't we end up destroying ourselves. So guess you could also call it a mercy act. Better to save some then none and have a new world with no evil then a dead planet that we killed everyone on.

Man, you can't even trust "god" to get it right the first time (that may explain how screwed up people are, you know, made in "his image" and all that).

it is not our PROBLEM no more what happens in the PAST it is the Problem of GOD.. what true problem for us is on what will be the FUTURE for us....

Once again he didn't make a mistake. Originally he made us perfect, heck we were sleeping with lions (get that sick thought out of your head lol). But God gave us a choice to between two trees/two masters you might say. We, more so Adam & Eve choose to Satan. So really its their mistake. Humans wanted knowledge, they wanted choice. And now we have it, along with it it comes sin thanks to the devil.

If we were to remain perfect (choose tree of life and worship god) we wouldn't have choice is what I get from it. Well not in terms we understand. Since there would be no evil there really wouldn't be a choice of "do this or that" because no choice would be bad if you think about it. But with evil in the world your choices CAN be good or bad.

A question that gets asked is "Why are we given choice but we are going to go to hell anyways if we don;'t choose god?". Well remember we were perfect to begin with. So there was no choice between going to heaven or hell, it was simply live forever. But thanks to the corruption of choice now you have to choose heaven or hell. Which is actually better then before, before jesus came back it was simply you die and go to hell unless (insert complicated crap). Now you that choice that humans wanted so bad opens up doors to how they want to live after they die.

I'd rather have a choice then have hell automatically chosen for me. Although I'd rather live forever and not have evil but once again humans choose the satan, the knowledge tree over God so here we are.

Along the lines of that same "Choice" question people tend to complain about their choices. Remember. If it wasn't for Adam & Eve picking that tree you wouldn't have a choice right now to NOT be religious and debate it, you;d all be "sheep" as you call it. But when you look at the end was it worth it? If choice means evil is around and half the people I know go to hell beacuse they don't want to believe something then that sucks. And whats worse is the fact that they think their is no choice in heaven. Its just no in terms they think of. Theres no evil in heaven. Just think of it as earth but with no suffering, no evil...etc. No one said its all christian music, worshiping and crap like that.

That was one thing I always thought would sucjk....spending eternity worshping God....not that I don't lovev God but that would get boring. But we will only spend 7 years in heaven. Then afterwarsd we get sent down to a newly created earth! I don't think people realize that. This is once he comes back. Yeah until then you are in heaven but once hes back its 7 years in heaven then you get a planet where theres no more worries about dying in car crashes, no rapists, no murder's, no assholes...nothing evil, nothing bad. Sounds sweet to me, alot more "laid back" then heaven... once again not that I have anything against heaven.

I didn't say god can't do alot. When I talked about earth he can do anything BUT since you didn't bother reading what I said after..... God is not a cheater, a liar, a backstabber. Satan obtained the scroll fairly by convincing Adam & Eve to bite the apple from the tree. So he cannot just vanquish him from earth for no reason. Satan did not steal it. He "Earned" it fair and square and God is not a God of anger. Would you beat the crap out of someone who won a trophy over you? No. God will come back to claim earth and all that even though to us it feels like it has been forever.

i'm not sure how to approach this, but It has sparked the notion that the Bible is one giant metaphor is it not?

Are you saying there is a physical being who shaped our lives from the beginning? Not in the sense that 'he' has guided us since birth, but was present at the beginning of time?

The scroll sounds like a concept for what is ultimately written. I would think our direction is guided for us, by us. If 'satan' or evil exists, it is because of the people that generate it. I wouldn't think it was because some horned beast was crouched behind a bush pullin a dollar bill on a string.

I want to ask..what about those who effect our lives negatively or positively. Either way, they're just as much 'god' as any force. Compelling us just as strongly.. because with out human emotion, would 'god' exist the same for us? That balance between good and evil? Isn't that a metaphor for our choice..?

Let's just see where this statement gets me before I go further into it. haha.

I agree with you. Just as we created God in our image of ourselves as a perfected being, one of whom we strive to please and emulate- we also created "Satan" as that all around scapegoat, who represents the parts of us we do not understand or are ashamed of, or events that occur and shake us out of our comfort zones.

I'm not contradicting myself I'm reading the BIBLE sometimes or in the first read of the passage or Months and years and many eventualities and experience and TIME changes that there are RIGHT things on the Bible Text or Law in the BIBLE that is not Right anymore because Satan or Devils uses also the Bible.But My leader and WE or I assure you that the BIBLE is COMPLETE and GREATSo GOD leave a signature or hint that will be done in the near FUTURE and its inevitable..So discussing and arguing this matter will be our evidence that we are all wanting for the same point of view and lawful reasons because we have so many barriers that hinders ourselves that's why OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST SET AN EXAMPLE to US to be more cautious and careful even if I'm small or defective or low personality or HIGH people GOD always call to us...but we cannot hear because of too many advertisement and too many problems and self mind bothering things...Just think of all the good things that I will say that comes from the BIBLE or EVEN on the other books or Cultures. other person even your ENEMY. GOD will REASON and JUDGE you according to WAYS of LIFE in this EARTH . (-_-) BETTER to learn CHEAT SATAN and EVIL.. HOW? JUST Follow what our LORD Jesus Christ DID it's a WIN WIN SITUATION no regret until we TIME. even I myself not claiming to be saved by GOD as long I am living in this WORLD I fight my weakness and evil and to live in Harmony BY GOD.

If I myself HURT a woman or a man or a child with my bear hands due to DRUGS,ALCOHOL,ENVY,GREED I rather DIE than to do not reasonable things and not understandable to the EYES of MAN I know my GOD and GOD knows Me (-_-) I'm happy even I felt sad and tears streaming to my eyes due to so many hardship and problems I always THANK THE LORD OUR GOD for giving me a chance and experiencing to be a man like his IMAGE.(^^,)

So many things that I do not know yet or not discover that GOD TRULY EXIST and this is the LOGICAL reason and this is my Proof that I CANNOT blame god for what happens!
