Spore!
lol not sure this belongs here but I think it belongs here (you'll see why)...
Theres a game thats now out for PC called Spore. Heres what its about (really cut down version):
Read more here:The game allows the player to develop a species from a microscopic organism to its evolution into a complex animal, its emergence as a social, intelligent being, to its mastery of the planet and then finally to its ascension into space, where it interacts with alien species across the galaxy. Throughout the game, the player's perspective and species change dramatically.

ANYWAYS...We will skip the fact that its being protested for its DRM and Securerom issues. Besides that alot of people bring up the fact of evolution vs creation and would anyone play it that is religious...etc. You get the idea.
Oddly enough alot of religious people are playing it. Even ones that you wouldn't think would believe in such things. Of course I play it because I am not like most religious thumpers. I've not actually seen many religious people debate this game so far and those that have sound pretty stupid seeing as how most people seem to enjoy it... well those that are playing it (legal or illegally).
So whats your take? What makes the game diffrent that people put aside their beliefs? What about those that still won't play it? Any other comments?
AO is about one thing. Going around in loops. No one cares to learn, they only care to live inside their boxes and ignore the truth!

Even in that quote from describing the game, a "player" would still need to help to get things moving along in life. Reminds me of when God created Adam and Eve, and the microscopic organism would be the sperm that Adam placed into Eve...I am sure God himself, somehow and in someway helped life for the first born human. Just my thought. Sorry AssassinX, I am just commenting, that is all.The game allows the player to develop a species from a microscopic organism

From what i heard, the game is more an attempt to allow people to enjoy yourself than an actual lesion on creationism or Evolution.

I have played the game. Its cute, although a little too simplistic for my taste. Good game for a kid, maybe 8-12 years.
In the game you start as an amoeba in the water and you evolve by eating and getting larger and larger. When you reach a certain stage you mate with another amoeba and then when the next generation is born you get to pick which evolutionary upgrades you get, like teeth, tusks, stingers, ect.
this lasts until you crawl out of the water. Then you spend time finding food, mating and making friends (or killing) other tribes of animals until you gain speech, create societies and go out into the stars.
As I said-very cute game. And yes it absolutely is about evolution and natural selection. Anyone who claims its not hasn't played the game."We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men — not from men who feared to write, to associate, to speak and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular."
