If *I* had the $$$ I would buy Clifton Hall. A part of the story in that news was about "the ghost-s"...wanted the family to know that they were there, as being (Friendly). I am hoping the bank would sell Clifton Hall on Ebay.

Think about it...Buy the place, then you can have the "First Interview with (friendly) ghost-s". Maybe the people of BigBrother could have Clifton Hall as a new BigBrother series.

There were no signs of agression but no signs that they were emanently friendly either.

Though some macarbre manifestations occured. In a separate report in a different newspaper the owner reported that 'bloodspots' had begun to appear on the clothes that the baby was wearing despite the fact that the baby was in no way injured.
An investigative team went there two nights in a row, on the second night a voice was heard saying 'So, you've come back, have you?'
I am going to Yorkshire Building Society sometime this week to convince them to let me have a nose around for a few nights, I shall report back on this :) (its only half an hour from where I live).

I'm strictly non profit. And $'s wouldn't do me much good over here (or much good over there, right now).

Screw makin cash, investigating stuff like that for a few years now, i would buy it and set up a research team. Prove once and for all if ghost exist and what they are.. or it is.
That has always been my dream, to find a truly haunted place and buy it and do long term study.
I have seen enough and experienced enough to know there is something there.
You can trick the mind, but you cant trick the camera , camcorder, emf meter and CCTV all at once...
If i was filthy rich i would spend my time solving the age old question...
I have come close a few times, but not enough to prove for sure..

Well I'm going to keep an eye on it and see if anyone buys it. In that instance I shall seek out the new owners and ask them if I can stay there for some study purposes.

Hello, I think there is enough proof of there being ghosts and paranormal activity. People who tell me it can't be true as 'they' have not seen or heard anything, either are not sensitive enough to be on that vibrational level, or they have not gone out and positively asked to speak to a ghost in a haunted place.

On the other hand, why should a ghost come out when a human expects it or asks for it? Why would they bother to PROVE anything if they did not want to? Besides, these type of appearances happen at random, NOT when we have researchers trying to capture them for entertainment!

It is sad that disbelievers cannot tell when a person is genuine about what they saw or heard, from those few who make a mockery of it by pretending. No wonder so many do not believe, OR maybe they don't want to as they could not cope without a scientific reason?

Spirits, the way they move things around, sometimes in front of our eyes or when they move/hide or make something we wanted at that moment disappear, are such nuisances, but they are possibly trying to show us there is life after death. I just feel terrible that those with traumatic deaths seem to be stuck in the same place the trauma occurred. Those poor things really need a ghost whisperer to help move them on to where they are supposed to be. I hope I am never stuck in a nether land!

By the way, in my family we have an Ancestral Castle, in N Wales, UK, which was owned by Sir John Winn. I also have a cousin in Florida who tracked me down through her ancestry as she has the same 5th Great Grandfather as I have. She lives in Florida, approx the same age as me, with much more in common, and we will meet up soon. I used to live in London, but came to the USA 7 years ago and married a Chicagoan.

Look up Gwydir Castle and you will see it is haunted. It has featured in documentaries on television twice that I know about. Sir John Winn, our ancestor, murdered a servant girl and hid her in the wall! No, I have no wish to go there and see if he comes to say hello to me/us!

I'd hafta vote for Gwydir Castle being tame. I couldn't care less about whatever's inside if I decided to stay there. Ya hang-out, ya go to bed, ya sleep... and sleep can't be underestimated as a defense against paranormal stuff. Especially in a castle-inn. Sleep calls... like it does at a roadside-motel. Something really better be scary for me to care about it, inside. Outside can be a different story. There's more phenomena goin' on.

As for Clifton Hall, it looks like the same thing. Being annoyed isn't the same thing as being scared-stiff.
