Global warming....yeah I don't believe in it...it's callled Climate Change and it's not caused by man, unless of course unleaded petrol increases temps on Mars and Neptune, both of which are experienceing temp rises of 2degC lately, much like Earth.

I do believe that mankind has made a lasting impact on the earths climate. If it isnt through emmisions, its through desertification, cutting forrests, building large cities etcetrica.

However the conspiracy is about the idea there is no reason to cut our pollution. Whether or not there is climate change through emission is nothing more than a scientific discussion as the bad effects of pollution are already proven in other fields.

You said that mankind has made a lasting impact on the earth's climate. I don't think I can agree with you on this. I can agree we need to cut pollution. I like clean water and clean air. The conspiracy here is weather or not man can change the climate. In my opinion the only true conspiracy here is how much control governments can have over what we do and how they can " Tax " what we do.
I think climate change is beyond our control at this time. I wish I could say the same for government.

To answer your question although it wasn't asked of me, I think science has proven climate goes through vast changes periodically, as well as the fact that it is obvious that the humans have done much to destroy the biological integrity of the earths self sustaining support systems.
Yes, climate change in and of itself is a natural occurrence, but I would find it hard to believe that humanity before has reached this level of gross injustice to the Earth and its resources- which is the life support system for everything else that emerges on Earth. I think if not stopped soon enough, that human encroachment of the Earths support systems will cause it to not be able to recover as well from the natural dips and changes in the cycles.
One day perhaps the Earth will simply shrug humans off her shoulders so she can begin the process of self-repair again, before it is too late.

That is a good answer Nu Kua. I do think we need to take better care of our planet. And just as I clould find plenty of scientist that say man is not the cause for climate change you could find a lot that say we are. Yes we need clean water, and we should do are best not to pollute the air. I still think most of the global warming / climate change is a conspiracy. Governments are always looking for a way to take your money and control you. It is even better if you believe in why you pay more and give up more of your freedom. Who wouldn't want to save the planet. If anyone can tell me how carbon offsets do anything to help clean up anything, please do.

Well I can tell you one conspiracy that I do believe in. It is the one where you get up in the morning, put on your pants and shirt, and pull on your boots and go to work. You come home dead tired, drink a beer, pass out. Next day same thing. I did that for 40 flipping years. It is the biggest conspiracy of all, called the enslavement of the human race! And what's more it isn't a theory, it is a factual conspiracy.

I remember seeing a 20/20 (US Investigative Reporting Show on ABC - for those who may not know) report by John Stossel(sp) which pointed out all the fallacies of the environmental movement. The facts were surprising. The air is MUCH cleaner today than it was in 1970 when the environmental movement started, the water is MUCH cleaner today than 1970, our homes are MUCH less polluted, Cars are more than 90% cleaner, R12 has been replaced by environmentally friendly refridgerant, CFC's are no longer used in aerosal cans,... etc... right down the line. The earth is MUCH cleaner today than it was in 1970. It's a fact. Now, all this could change as third world countries develop without regards to environmental laws but as things stand today - the world is much cleaner than before.

Probably the biggest hoax ( Conspiracy) ever played on society is the myth of man made climate, and a damned good marketing scam !! Ya gotta love the word choice.... However that does not mean that those drastic actions in kyoto are not needed. As there are plenty of other good reasons behind those.

And since the core of the conspiracy is that those actions are not needed.
The conspiracy is still nonsense, And the question whether or not we are behind climate change a purely scientific discussion.
