Invisibile users
I have to ask... why do some of you decide to remain invisible users while posting?
Of course I can see all and whatnot, but I was curious as to why some of the regular posting members decide to use the invisible feature. If you don't want to explain it's cool.... I was just looking at the who's online page and noticed a few regulars were invisible (which of course remain nameless).

Well no one is invisible to me lol.
I was just curious (if members want to answer) why they use the invisible option.
It's under UserCP -> Edit optionsThen there's a checkbox to use it.Invisible mode allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists.
Use Invisible Mode
Use it or not I Could care less.... just wondering why....Email : webmaster (-at-) armageddononline (-dot-) org or click here.

I thought the invisible feature was used by those who wanted to get a more accurate count on thread reads. In other words you can return to thread to read responses without it "counting" as a read statistic.
The Great and Powerful.....Of course I can see all and whatnot
Can you see me now?Well no one is invisible to me lol.

I use Invisible mode as a feeble attempt to elude freaks who might be browsing as guests. If I come on and sense a weird vibe, I don't post.
Plus I kind of enjoy that little "hidden" vibe. It feels safe and somehow cozier."The Alice-in-Wonderland nature of this pronouncement is not lost on me..."

You don't know how many women I have had intercourse with while being invisible. They all thought it was a poltergeist.

I'm invisible because sometimes I log in and leave my laptop unattended. I don't want someone to send me a pm thinking I will respond right away and get upset if I don't.. That and as uki so aptly put, I am a sneaky little witch.

Sometimes I'm logged in all day, but doing other things...cleaning, visiting other sites, job hunting. I don't want people to think I sit and stare at the index page all day long.

I'll give you my honest answer - I don't want people to know when I'm online, for how long I'm online and what threads are absorbing all of my attention. I don't want people to know how often I come on to check things out, or how long it takes me to make a post, or if I'm modifying a post.
Sometimes I do spend alot of time here and I don't want other people to know I'm screwing the pooch all day on this site (when I should be working). The shame."Gravity is a contributing factor in nearly 73 percent of all accidents involving falling objects"~ Dave Barry

I think it's better to know that you're online so some members will know that you'll probably reply immediately to some discussion.
