Spider my almost 16 year old cat in the first pic. And R.I.P. Shadow and his lil GF Spooky in the 2nd. That dog humped her every time he got excited. I now know where the term "horndog" came from. Shadow lived to be 2 weeks shy of his 15th birthday which was pretty awesome for a dog of his size. He was the product of an amorous male coyote that infiltrated a golden retriever backyard breeder.
I'll be looking for another dog to train for service work about the end of this summer, finally.

Bella the cat dog
Cat/Border Collie

Bella will play fetch until she knocks herself out. She loves car rides and I am not kidding. If she knows I am leaving she jumps in her cat bag and meows like a crazy cat. She walks on a leash too.
I really wanted and Aussie, but I live an apartment complex. So I got the next best thing, a cat that thinks its a dog.

I hadn't noticed these pics before, BR. What kinds of fish are these, and how big is the tank?
I've always loved aquariums, even though they're a bit of a pain at times. Right now I'm down to 1 3.5G tank, housing a male VT Betta and a Mega Clown Pleco. No pics at the moment, but I'll get some up at some point.
In the meantime though, here are a few new pics of my pooch, Bailey.

Here are a couple more pics of my Dog.
When we were at Woofstock on the weekend there was a professional photographer wandering around snapping pics of all the different dogs. She was promoting her website - Scruffy Dog Photography - I was considering her services until she showed me a price tag of like $500 and said I could "easily upgrade" the package...
Anyhow, she posted a couple pics of Bailey on her site, and here they are:

Videos of Bailey
+ YouTube Video
My dog used to be really nervous around water, but now she tries to swim every chance she gets.
I was trying to get away from her at the end of this clip, I didn't feel like getting wet when she shook. Stupid dog just stayed right beside me, then shook right after the video stopped.
+ YouTube Video
I think it's really entertaining to throw sticks down steep hills.
+ YouTube Video
She didn't quite see where the stick went this time, guess she doesn't feel like running down there for nothing.

My dog is named Bailey too..the female pitt bull..and a male cockapoo that is around 13 yrs old, Sammy:
Here is Sammy:
This is Bailey's favorite position..splayed out on the floor waiting for her belly to be rubbed..she is such a vicious brute, lol!

This is her staring at the camera..after the flash went off she got away quick, the scaredy cat!

and this is a pic with the both of them together:

Bailey has hazel eyes! What a soulful, loving face.
Sammy reminds me of that part of a comedy team that is called 'straight', you know, the guy with the dry wit, who is kind of grumpy in a lovable way, who sets the other guy up to make a splashy joke. :)
*edit
Fut! Those are great films.
and that second pic of your dog taken by the photographer- what a face she's making! LOL
Old Soldier has a dog there with natural markings that look as if they were painted there on purpose, kinda like a perma bandana. Beautiful.

Only one's I have. Not cats or dogs but they're still family. Hamster is "Speedy" and the rat was "Sunshine" , she has since passed. The birds and and the rat we have now are not yet in my files but will be soon. Along with our 4 late fish.
Speedy likes to escape and stow away behind our fridge and Sunshine loved spaghetti and kisses. Miss her.

Thanks so much, Nu Kua and Sayev. Sayev those are cute pics you have there..used to have a pet rat that I would let loose that would come when I called and climb up me then I would put him back in the cage..he was such a smart little critter.
And yeah, Sammy is the boss of the house, and if you think Bailey's eyes are something, you should see how expressive her eyebrows are! She has the most human looks with her eyebrows sometimes! :)

Generally when i come to this site, i talk about civil war, revolution or politics. But today i will be going in a far different direction.
My screen name is "hobobone"...This name came from my dog named Hobo, and the fact that he loved to chew on bones.
Id like to take a minute to talk about loosing my dog Hobo..Hobo was a drop off or a stray dog. He came to our place at about 2 years old..He lived under our deck for about 2 weeks before we could touch him.. He looked very rough and had matted hair..We took him in gave him a haircut and love and respect. And then we named him Hobo..Hobo lived with us for 13 years, during which time he never once went to the bathroom in our house. Even in his last days of dying he still showed a level of dignity that ive never seen in an animal. Because he was vomiting a lot he decided to stay under the deck, the same deck that we originally found him under. I let him do this for a couple days and then i picked him up out of the yard and laid him on couch... Hobo died on the couch at about 4pm on 8|24|2011. He had Cushings disease yet still lived to be 15. Thats a long life for a Chow or a Golden Retriever
He was the greatest dog i have ever known...When having a bad day at work or when there wasnt a friend to be found, he was always there.
I remember running beside him in a cornfield when it was raining, just for fun.
When working on vehicles in the garage, he would crawl under the vehicle and bite my shirt sleeve and pull on it, to get me to play with him(which i did)
He knew who was visiting us by the sound of vehicle motor, and would alert us to that.
He was a great hunter. For some reason he didnt like groundhogs. One particular summer he took down 9 of them out of the fields behind my house...
In closing, I will miss this dog as much as i would losing a member of the family..He always treated us with respect.. It was a mutual exchange of respect...Wherever you are Hobo, we will never forget you, we will miss you massively and always love you buddy...Attachment 1246Last edited by hobobone; Sep 26th, 2011 at 6:50 PM.
