Please Boycott McDonalds...
It seems they are suing a 19 year old girl over the prefix "MC"
She has been doing a charitable event called MCFest which has zero to do with McDonalds,as her last name is MCclouski ect....show them we mean buisness.
Leave the girl ALONE!!!

This is such mcbullshit. Copyright infringement is pretty cut and dried here and Lauren should come out of this unscathed. However, McAsshole's has the big guys to represent them and their family of products... I'm sure that an amicable agreement can be reached here, and Mcdonald's should, if for no other reason, out of pure business sense, drop this suit and donate to this gal's charity. Maybe the judge won't be a lazy fat-ass Mcdonald's lover and see that Lauren and her partner were trying to do good and have worked very hard to get where they are.

So watch out you Irishmen. If you're name begins with Mc you could end up in court on copywrite infrigement. WTF??
I love boycotting things. I have been boycotting veal since I was 10 years old. Fur since I was 6 or 7, circuses with animal acts since I was 12, KFC for the past 4 years and Red Lobster (or any place that buys Canadian seafood) for I don't even know how long because of seal hunting. I'm in!

I've already cussed them out on their "contact us" restaurant feedback page. You all should as well. Mention how fucking retarded they are for suing this girl, and tell them you'll never eat at their joke of an establishment again, as I did. Be sure to use many four letter words.

No problem... I'd boycotted them from the beginning, because of their hitler youth approach to advertising and their selling-out to the Nixon-supporting Dairy Lobby, jamming every food-item with cheese. In '79 or so, when they introduced breakfasts, I finally began going there for about a year-or-two. Then, they went Cali, or valley-girl (mickey deez) with their advertising and I've boycotted 'em ever since.

I think the family should just sue McDonald for using the MC. They used it first after all.
But seriously, do they really expect to come further than the point in the trail where the defended has to call out its surname?

Pretty clear where I stand on fast food, even as just food. The fact they'd go after this chick (hey baby PM me if yer reading this) is absurd.
They can Mcsuck my Mcnads.

This whole ordeal reminds me to the story where Dr Mcninja finds out the evil clown Ronald McDonald stole his name for the new Mcninja burger.

A bunch of companies are pulling this dick moves. Facebook recently pulled a guy's vanity URL--which was his last name--and sold it to a company instead.

I thought the simple fact their food is processed bile was a good enough reason to boycott them...

My one son got a job flipping burgers with them. They screwed him over badly, we never go there anymore, ever!

Corporate greed knows no bounds. Suing a charity because its name is retarded and shows people how much they really value people. We are all just a wallet to them and it shows with this. Their food sucks anyways. Carl's Jr is so much better anyhow

Kinda like James Cuntron (Avatar) whos copy writing the name Avatar despite the fact its been used FOREVER and even thought theres a kids show thats been using it for years. Hes such a douche. More reason for me to hate to movie.

Cameron had the name "Avatar" long before the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" came out. (1994 is when his script was written) That's why they lost on the name.

You were saying?
*note, I'm not hating on Aang, etc. I think it's a cute cartoon and a more educational than many others, since it touches on NON-American traditions, particularly things from Hinduism and its progeny."I was put on trial twice near Y2K for acting like Jesus and claiming to be the Messiah. the last time I was at a McDonalds was in the early 1990's - I went to get a green milkshake in a stoned fit.
Stabby said it best - why eat there anyway? the place is repugnant.
I have been frequenting non-fast-food type places, like Memphis Blues Barbeque House and Vera's Burgers (I think they're local though Vera's might be a larger chain). their preparation of food is definitely not the factory process - you have to wait up to 15 minutes for your order at Vera's and at Memphis Blues if they've run out of something it's out until the next day since they slow cook their stuff for 8 - 10 hours.
there are so many reasons not to go to McD's that it's just a general rule of thumb for me.For every human problem there is an easy and simple answer. And it is always wrong. - H.L. Mencken
